Thats about my goal. what turbo are you using?

Oh ok, yeh by loud i guess i mean a more annoying loud if you know what i mean and it was pretty loud dnt no how loud yours is, like it sounds like its boosting its ass off an your not even really on boost. maybe its because the factory is a paper wheel its that different kind of sound compared to the metal wheels on other turbos other turbos just seem to sound so much nicer being a loud whistling air rush as apposed to just an airy sound. oh well thanks guys i think ill stick to it while ive got this turbo an when i upgrade my turbo ill just have to go pod with airbox from justjap. I hear masterpower are coming out with an rb specific turbo now like the garret kits.

Ok cool, i am hoping to make a bit more than that tho to be honest, if i was to say put my pod back on and get a cold air box from say justjap and get a snorkle going to the bumper under the light would it be as quiet as my factory airbox? Also is it just my standard turbo thats why its so loud? you no what i mean right its just a really loud shhhhhhh rather than that nice whistle. Like if i was to get another turbo like i plan to would it sound the same?? just as loud? Sorry if im not explaining myself well but surely you know what i mean the factory series 2 turbo through a pod sounds shit for normal off boost driving. well not shit just gets reeally annoying

So ive gone and bought a 2nd hand factory airbox and a Greddy highflow filter, waay more response but flat out seems a little less. maybe need to reset ecu??? will do tonight anyway. Now my mate said if i upgrade the turbo or want anymore power i NEED a pod and cant have standard airbox. Is this true? Ive heard the GTR factorys can handle 300kw or so but dont no about the gtst's Its a series II 40th anniversary and im running 13psi, have full turboback exhaust and wanting to do alot more. Any help is appreciated thanks

Ok, putting in a hicas lock bar or disabling it is so the car feels more predictable and so you can pull "hektik" slides and go racing. the hicas system is a f**king good system for the road its just not for everyone. And im talking evens for evens. you get a 500hp auto skyline vs a manual 500hp skyline and the manual will be quicker unless you've rebuilt the auto box and put in a different torque converter an all that shit. Ive driven alot of hondas, alot of cars for that matter and im sorry but a preludes a prelude you gotta be honest it just cant stack up to a GTR. end of fu*king story. And by saying im full of shit "too" just confirms that you yourself are full of shit. LOL and if your cars so much faster then why does your profile say your "Currently looking for medium built R33 GTST to buy ~12k."

Fark man i used to work for a car valet company when i was younger, got to drive all sorts of cars so yes. You drove a Tommy Kiara GTR at some car show??? if you were lucky enough to actually drive one im sure you would remember the name of the show as you would need to be working there to drive it, and you would be moving it more than driving it anyway as it would come off a trailer. Also incase you havnt realised skylines and Gtrs have 4ws, its called hicas you dope. Gtrs also have something called atessa. They are on another level. And auto skylines are generally alot slower than manual skylines, no offence to owners but they are. Ive had an r34 gtt coupe tipronic and i switched to an r33 gts-t coupe manual 40th anniversary edition and its alot faster. Some of the crap your saying just gives more and more reason to believe your full of sh*t

Yeh i know so many people act like their so fast, i thought they were myself til i beat this guy. And i dont know what mods he had for all i know that may have been all he had, but it had a front mount and definately an external gate. ( Loud as fark ) And the thing is i love rexa's and evo's and im trying to decide which one to upgrade to, but after i beat him he raced an evo 6 next to me and they were neck and neck as they pulled off from me. the evo looked stock. I know gtst's arent the fastest thing out there and my mates old evo 6 wouldve stomped all over me but its been surprising me lately and im finding it is alot faster than alot of other stock cars out there including my old mans SV6 VE.

Would i be right in saying this is your first turbo car? and that you've never actually driven a skyline??? I have no doubt your car is quick for what it is but come on man, come ooon. faster than a gtr??? the car that got banned from bathurst?? gtr's are track monsters and it would NOT lose to a fwd lude that probly cant handle for shit cos its wheels are spinning an torque steering all over the place. Be honest an stopp kidding yourself, you think your car is quicker than it is and youve seen all these vids on youtube so your making the assumsion that its faster than a gtr. Well i got news for you buddy. its NOT. i dont even need to see your car to no that.

Lol what a sad guy hahaha But yeh STI's are fast from 0-100 but on a rolling pull say from 60km stis are slower, especially after 100. Well not slow but the gtst is faster from a roll, if you can get grip. My 33 has a HKS pod, 13psi boost and a Turboback exhaust and i wasted an sti on the mway which sounded pretty modded. had an external gate, frontmount an all. Was a version 5 i think but still i wasted it I do love the version 7+ rexas tho there so nice.

mate id love to have the setup you do. Honestly tho running that power through stock rims? get some wider rims an put some 255s or wider on it. An yeah by the sounds of it you need just a lil more power an you may be happy lol. Either that or your a power broad minded person thats never satisfied lol.

Dude just take the silencer out of the equation! i noticed a pretty big performance decrease in my old GTT when i put a silencer in an that had a standard turbo! Plus it sounded shit. Have you tried breathing through a straw? try blowing as hard as you can an see how you feel

Plus the good thing about the Greddy RZ is you can recirc it easy as too

Not sure on the turbosmart BOV but if you want a good sounding BOV that performs id definately recommend the Greddy RZ. i had an RS on my R34 and was definately the goods and sounded really good and the RZ is just a newer version. Ill be getting it for my R33 Eventually lol

Ive got a 3" stainless X-Force exhaust with the bellmouth front pipe and its really good. Gives really good results and sounds good, in no way too loud. im very tempted to put a decat pipe in actually give it a bit more grunt. And yes im aware its not a Jap exhaust but still worth checking out, can hear the turbo spooling waaaay more now too sounds good as.

Ok heres some pics of my sony cd stacker controller mounted on my as tray. Im sure you could fit a AFC Neo there too.

Yeah iv sold my r34 but I'm sure it wouldn't be marked at all if i was to remove it, I'm at work right now but will try and get a pic of my 33s ash tray when i get home.

If you were to mount it on the stand use those 3m strips, fully clean the surface where your doing it then pop it on. did it in my r34 for my boost guage and came out really good. but it kinda melts if left in the sun for ages so be careful not to knock it when its like that lol. Could also mount it on the front of the ash tray maybe? ive got my cd stacker controller on there an works well. can get a pic of it if you want for ideas its kinda the same size as the safc

i just mean work in general as the greddy website says its for applications over 450hp an im def not pushing that.

You have too much time on your hands mate, seems like you need a lay. oh and i took your 'advice' and dodsons told me a good greddy or similar would be the way to go an thers no point in going back to and modifying a factory valve. but besides that i ddnt want to be rude as i dnt have talot of experience and it really seemd like you knew what you were talking about. But your rubbing off as a bit of a dick tbh, nobody wants to hear your anti bov shit if you dnt like it thats your choice keep it to yourself.
