  1. I've already got a set of display swords, but then I have the real deal. But by the time I get them from their secure spot and brandish them, the thieves will be long gone. Can't have them out around the house with a 9yo boy in the house, so they stay out of reach. I've never met anyone with the same name. Its weird hearing my name even tho I'm not the one being spoken to/about.
  2. BBQ'd bad guy! :laughing-smiley-014:
  3. Yeah a bait car with remote kill switch, remote locking doors and poisonous gas We can stand at the windows and wave to them as they take their last breaths
  4. Yeah, had the mother of the stupid kid wanting the cops to charge me for using such "violence on the street". Until the cops said "Lady, it was your son with the weapon. He took his chances in front of a karate school and lost" Dumbass! :laughing-smiley-014: Its not just protecting my property. Where most people will cower away and 'mind their own business', I won't stand for this shit or destruction of property, abuse or stealing if I'm around. I guess I have more confidence doing what I do. Anyone getting assaulted for no reason, I'll step in and set it straight. Some punk breaking into a car not mine, I'll sort him out too.
  5. CAMS = Corporation Against Motor Sport :laughing-smiley-014: :laughing-smiley-014:
  6. Not sure if 'drifting' is on the cards. EPA approval for that form of noise above ambient noise levels will need to be considered. And as far as I know the owner of Mallala has a contract with the drift organisers. So long as they don't renew their contract in the next 2 years, it could be applied for at this new track. Keep in mind too that CAMS will have a say in the matter. I won't even hazard a guess to what the entry fee will be for a 'practice day' type event, but my "gut feeling" says it could be over $150 for the obvious facilities/CAMS licensing/insurance reasons. But I'm only guessing here.
  7. I'll share anything that is "publicly available"
  8. Umm, I think I've said too much already :laughing-smiley-014: but if I hear of the submission going before Council, I'll post up a link here. As far as I know (and I can say this being outside my work) Panel members have been contacted separately and an initial reaction is that it will get approval no worries. The Pre-1976 Car Club and SMASA have been keeping a close eye on this. They were going to do a run/cruise to generate support, but it is apparently not required because its meant to really be an easy "go ahead". But as I said, I've seen developments this size 'stumble' over the finish line. So as far as I'm concerned, its getting built. Its just a matter of time and when the money runs out. There will be shortcuts and I think it will take a reinvestment before the track is up to scratch. I reckon its first track will suffer and need relaying. Happens commonly. I'm yet to see a layout for the track (and don't bother asking, I wouldn't/can't share that info).
  9. I should clarify that DAF submission will be (if not already) submitted. They're still 'getting a feel' for the legalities of each site. BTW developments fall into 3 categories: Cat 1 (complying approval, no public consultation, meets most if not all zone principles and objectives) Cat 2 (non-complying approval, public consultation, meets most principles and objectives) Cat 3 (non-complying approval, public consultation, if Council says no, thats it no second chances) I believe one of the sites has a good chance of Cat 1 approval. So no ERD Court hearing. So long as the EPA is happy.
  10. This is how thick some are: The last bastard I caught years ago, I gave him a swift kick into the ribs and dropped him quick. When I busted this fool trying to steal my motorbike, he first started to run but turned around holding the screw driver as a weapon, that now gives me the 'self defence' excuse. Stupid numb nuts tried stealing my bike in front of the dojo I trained at, and while I approached him in my karate gi wearing black belt and all. Stupid, real stupid. If that doesn't ring any alarm bells for them, then they should be removed from the gene pool. Like bringing a knife to a gun fight. They can't sue you if they're commiting the crime, and especially when you do not use 'excessive' force. The police weighed in that his screw driver had the potential to do more damage, than my kick to his ribs. I can guarantee you this little prick isn't stealing any bikes/cars today. :laughing-smiley-014: I've had my share of stupid encounters on the street, and the cops really don't give a rats arse ... especially when you can have your 'self defence' story. They're seen as the crim in the first place, all you gotta do is make yourself look more like a Saint.
  11. Makes sense There have been a few sites pre-selected and DAF submissions have been lodged concurrent with each other. It will only be a lengthy consultation period depending on the zoning and the number of representations. Council will fast track this to its next DAP meeting, or hold a special meeting (no public consultation) if it fits within the zoning (or rezoning), especially when Council get 0.1% of the total development cost. If its development cost is in the millions, Council gets a nice healthy sum. The development can be applied for in stages to, to help speed things up (demolition, excavation, construction, EPA approvals (noise) etc). The Mitsubishi testing facility got its approvals and constructed in a very timely fashion. But then again, I've seen developments of this size and nature fail to meet its timelines. Once it gets approval, the development will need full or substantial completion in 12 months, or it must apply for an extension if its not finished in time. PAR changes can be done in almost a week if the ERD Court sees it as straight forward. Having this track completed or near completion in 2 years is do-able.
  12. This has been in discussion for over 6 months now. 3 corporations are getting together to build the venue for circuit racing (another Mallala), with a drag strip, and other hardstand areas for training etc. Work is meant to begin in 6-9 months and will take 15 months to complete. Location is not yet definite, but will be located in the north, north-western suburbs of Adelaide. I am aware of this project, but thats all I can disclose right now. As far as getting the hoons of the streets ... it won't be cheap. Circuit racing doesn't come cheap and night shifts at Maccas won't get them far. The hoons will still be on the streets, but its the sensible drivers who will take to the track. It won't be more affordable. Do you really think a brand newly laid track closer to the city population will be any cheaper than a rundown shit hole like Mallala? Still, give me Mallala any day. I know all the lines and bumps and cambers and can do 1m17s all day. Its just as easy to turn on your TV dude. :laughing-smiley-014:
  13. I was at my GF mother's place picking up her son, when we heard her dogs going bonkers! I peak out the window and see two punks hanging around my Stag parked out on the street. One looked like he was trying to open the door, while the other was watching the house. I stepped out the front door and (in not so nice words) told the punks to move on or I'll wrap their mountain bikes around their heads. I don't rely on the cops (they're too busy robbing us of our wallets), so if I catch anyone trying to get into my car, I'll just give them some free accommodation in a hospital. Done it before, I'll do it again. I love my toys and unless I invite you around to play, stay the f*ck away. :laughing-smiley-014:
  14. Young kid + fast car = crash (and the accompanying reckless behaviour) There is no reason why an inexperienced driver needs a powerful car on the street. Period. You guys can say all you want, but thats all I see on the streets of Adelaide all the time in the 18 years I've been driving/riding. Thats just it, most teens do not have the right attitude. Whilst I've got decades to go before I hit 50, I'm old enough to have seen so much in my years of driving/riding on the road and on the track. I'm tired of seeing the same age group think their invincible and powerful and killing themselves anyway, then making up bullshit stories or excuses about their driving attitude. I've heard it all and nothing you say will be an original argument that hasn't been put into the "who gives a f*ck" bin. If motorcyclists are limited via power/weight restrictions, I can't see why it can't apply to P-platers and even under 21s. But 'no', the Govt would rather stick up speed cameras, so you guys can cash them up before you kill yourself. There is money to be had in hoons and powerful cars. I guess we could all use spare parts anyway
  15. A broken shoulder wasn't on the cards for a start to the year, but 7 weeks is enough for me to get all healed up and out there again. While the Stag has been fun and comforting to drive, my heart lies with biking. Its a pity I can't race in this season tho. Selling my race bike now, but will upgrade when my body is fit enough again to handle the rigours of motorcycle racing ... but most importantly the threat of another crash. The shoulder is still too sensitive for high speed crashes, so I can't risk it. Its a shame, because I really shine out at Mallala. Just gotta hang up my race leathers for a while The weekend was a blast, showing my mates how its done. They all think I'm mad :laughing-smiley-014: Riding in a manner as if I had no injury and a bit more outrageous than them. I'm just a mad prick on any bike :laughing-smiley-014: Decided I'm just going to fit the motard tyres to my custom pitbike and mini race at Pooraka to keep fit and still have some 'race' fun. Whilst I'm not modding any of my bikes, I've got the Stag to keep me busy with an exhaust system to fit, front mount intercooler and T3/T4 turbo to fit, Ohlins adjustable suspension to fit and tweak, then a Unichip and dyno session to sort it all out. I'll be driving my silver S1 RS4 around while the black S2 RS4 is being modded.
  16. Yay! 7 weeks after breaking my shoulder in a bike crash, I've scratched that big itch called "riding". Went out with the boys (and girls) on the Easter weekend for a bash on private property out bush. Had a blast and showed how much I missed riding. :laughing-smiley-014: Now I just gotta wait another 2 weeks to get my MV Agusta Brutale back! I know its not really a Nissan topic, but the Stagea has helped keep me sane whilst I was healing.
  17. You've got smart parents then
  18. Squid = no clue, no idea, I have a fast car/bike therefore I am soooo good!, I bought a fast car/bike so people will love me! LOL Squid name came from the UK referring to bikers/hoons in bikes/ cars who think their lack of skill is made up for with a fast machine.
  19. Saw a silver series 1 last night at the West Terrace BP. Pulled in for fuel then left. Nice gold mags ... I want them
  20. Actually Ben was in the R32 GTR and the RS4 was driven by me We were both at Villis with our riding buddies talking BS and having fun.

  22. As the title says: will 19" rims and 35 profile tyres fit a Stagea and what width: 7.5", 8.0", 8.5" Or are Stagea owners limited to 18" rims? And what width: 7.5", 8.0" or 8.5" Who's got what and post pics if you have them.
