i mean the gear knob itself, the thing you gonna buy, the thing you gonna touch everytime you shifting, is 7cm from top to bottom.. the EVO = mitsubishi evolution, I have an evo 7.. i TOOK OUT the shift knob on my car for you and see under it, there is some cm of UNTHREADED area (like 3-4cm?), so it is meant to be like that, as my evo ALSO HAVE unthreated area like your GTT.. hope it helps..

Sorry I dont have the pic of the GTT. On my evo, it sit just on top of the boot, like 0.50 cm above the gearboot. Height of the stick from top to bottom is 7cm. Hope it helps, text me anytime mate, im not here very often

sorry to bump old thread, but im just wondering, goldzilla, before you fitted these gauges, you supposed to fit a panel for your alpine 9833? like the one surrounding the head unit to cover the holes? can you still fit that in anyway so it will look so much better?
