  1. I have a red Nissan V35 that needs to have a spoiler resprayed. I am located in the western suburbs. Can anyone advise me of someone who can respray the rear spoiler? I also have a couple of other touch-ups that I might get done.
  2. I bought this car 14 years ago. During that time I have done about 5,000kms per year. I now have a job that is close to my home so I don't need to drive anymore. It is pointless to keep it as I would end up driving even less than I already do. The car has been fantastic, it would be the most reliable car that I have ever had. The only major repair that I have had during that time is to replace the exhaust. Mechanically it is excellent. I am an older guy who has really looked after the car and never thrashed it. The motor is stock but if you know these cars then you will know that they are pretty quick but nowhere near as quick as an R34 etc. I looked for a long time to find a red, manual with a sunroof. It is a good combination and not very common. The car has 20" wheels and good tires. The interior is very good, the only thing that isn't perfect is a couple of areas of the paint. I am going to get the rear spoiler resprayed in the next week or so. The car has a top-of-the-line Kenwood head unit with a built-in DVD player, wireless Apple Car Play, and wireless Android Auto. It even has a digital TV tuner which works flawlessly. It has a dash cam and high-end Alpine speakers. It has Infiniti badging on the airbag and front grille. The rear tail lights are from a newer model. The headlights are custom with LED running lights. It has cruise control and an electric sunroof. I am located in Adelaide (Brooklyn Park), call Paul on 0404 982 999 or email me [email protected] $13,500 ono
  3. I was wondering what options people are using for mounting their mobile phones in the V35 couple? I have been using an Iottie easy one touch 4 Dash and Windshield Mount but in summer I can't use it as my phone gets too hot. The mount uses a ball and socket mount with a quick release and fast wireless charging. Ideally I would like to possibly keep it and maybe mount a ball so that I can mount the unit to it. As there seems to be limited options where to mount something I was thinking of putting it low down by the ashtray or possibly modifying that space to incorporate it. I can't seem to remove the ashtray easily. Can someone advise me? I haven't had much time to have a good look. Any other options or suggestions would be appreciated. Is there anywhere in Adelaide that may be good with this sort of stuff?
  4. Yes, it was a really good match. If it wasn't the same colour it would have been much more expensive. I am pretty happy with the outcome.
  5. Well I had a bit of luck with getting this fixed in the end. Managed to get it fixed for a total cost of $660 all up.
  6. I got a quote yesterday... $600 for the door & $500 to get it put on & sprayed but the repairer said that it would be better to spray the whole side of the car ($900) so that it blends in better so $1500 to get it looking good. Luckily I found a red door interstate which I have got shipped to me for $360 so luckily I will hopefully be able to avoid getting the whole side blended in. I would imagine that it would have about the same amount of discolouration based on age so fingers crossed it will not end up being too expensive.
  7. V35 passenger side door WTB V35 passenger side door to suit 2004 model. Red in colour if possible. I am located in Adelaide.
  8. It probably would be deemed my fault, I was turning into traffic, everyone let me through & this idiot came tearing down on the inside. If it's going to be less than $1k I will just get it done myself. I guess that I will have a better idea by tomorrow when I get someone to look at it. I just don't know if I need to get a full door or if the skin can be replaced or if it can just be fixed up.
  9. I don't want to make an insurance claim. I am hoping that it won't be overly expensive. It is just the door that is dented, no other panels.
  10. Dented Door repair Turning around & someone in a big 4WD banged into my passenger door. No damage to his car but obviously as you can see in this picture it made a mess of my door! So I want to get this fixed but have no idea of the potential cost or where to take is so I was wondering if anyone could give me some advice?
  11. Cheers for that. I was looking at this one for $85.22 delivered http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/371241333982?_trksid=p2055119.m1438.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT pretty cheap & he has sold a lot of them. Synergy have them for $165 but they always seem to be a bit expensive.
  12. V35 2004 Coupe - Radiator fan motor passenger side needed Just recently I have needed a few parts & struggled to get parts that actually worked. I was after a cam sensor for bank one & bank two. I bought them both of eBay sellers with big ratings & who seemed reputable. Both failed. I now need a Radiator fan motor for the passenger side & was quoted about $600. I looked online & found one in the US that will fit for about $80 delivered. They have sold 176 so I would presume that it should be Ok. Ideally I would like to get one locally. Could anyone tell me where I could pick one up, preferably in Adelaide? If not then interstate (or even overseas at a push) would be Ok. How much should a part like this cost? Can anyone suggest some reputable places for parts in Adelaide or interstate (sorry if its been asked before) and a local repairer close to Torrensville or the city? Thanks in advance & sorry if some of these questions have been asked before, I am just in a bit of a rush to find this stuff out.
  13. I had the covers for my Brembo brakes painted & changed from the standard gold colour to red which matches my car. The job was done by a mobile guy who was doing some touch ups on my car. 2 years later they still look perfect. He did not use any special paint or anything out of the ordinary from what I can gather.
  14. I also thought that installing the antennas into the bumpers was a bit strange but according to HiTv this is the way to go. I guess I will just have to install them & see how I go.
  15. I have to agree that higher would be better but without having them visible I don't have a great deal of options. I would still like to know if anyone has mounted then this way and how hard it is to get the bumpers off?
  16. I have continually had trouble getting DTV reception in my coupe with my Alpine TV tuner. The reason is more than likely that the stick on antenna is on the top of the windscreen but placed where the tinting is. I have purchased 2 x HiTV antennas which I am going to place inside of the bumper bars. I was wondering if anyone has done this before & if it is difficult to do? I am presuming that both of the bumper bars have to come off completely. I also need to run the antenna wires back into the cabin & don't know the easiest way to do this. Can anyone offer me some advice? I was also wondering if anyone has used the HiTV pure 4 (or3) TV tuner? If so comments would be appreciated
  17. I have a pair but I am in Adelaide.
  18. How is the odometer actually wound back? If it is as common as everyone seems to think then it must be pretty simple??
  19. Can someone advise me on how to reset the airbag light flashing? It is not really that clear how to fix it from what I have read here. I had a new car stereo put in yesterday & now all of a sudden the airbag light is flashing.
  20. Over 60 views & 1 reply. Come on guy's surely someone else can have some input on this ;-)
  21. Hi there, I have done a bit of searching but still thought that I would post here. I have a non premium 2004 Skyline & wanted to swap out the factory non- Bose speakers for something better. Am I right to presume that the speaker sizes for the non premium & the premium are the same? Front are 6.5" & rear 5.25" according to what I read on here. Correct me if I am wrong. I have an Alpine head unit an new model a ICS-X8 I don't know a great deal about speakers in cars but I have been pointed towards the X series Alpine speakers. Can anyone advise if these are good or if I should look at something better? I know that it comes down to budget. I usually just buy the best but I am not that into car audio that I want to go nuts. I would also like to know where is a good place to purchase in Adelaide & also to get them fitted. Are they hard to install? I am not that handy but if there is someone that can be recommend then that would be appreciated.
  22. ChrisB what are the details of your car?
  23. I have a set for a coupe if you are interested.
  24. Thanks for the great advice. I guess first up I should probably have a look at one & take if for a drive. I don't know of any available in Adelaide. Infiniti really could do well with this IF they were to sell it at a reasonable price say about the 70K mark. At 100K + I think that they are going to struggle. The other alternative & probably the sensible one may be to wait for a year to see how things pan out. There is not a great deal of information available on the new one that is going to be released locally from what I can see. If anyone has any info please post some links
