i started the car then put the water in. i left it running and then i turned the car off and removed the hose.

Car history: R33 gtst 93 model coupe. stock motor, just had timingbelt, raditor and fan belts changed, reaplced the hose going into heater core as it blew, new radiator hoses and was flushed. every oil reaplced(even lsd). spark pulgs been about 7k. inlet gasket been replaced. was going to get coil packs checked/have a look at for the 5500rpm sputter. Problem: mine blew that hose the other day in my drive way, this is after it stalled as i was idling into my driveway and i was nursing it home after i found out that the power steering hose was leaking. i immeditalley turned it back on and put tap water into the radiator. this is after i noticed steam coming out drivers side, and coolant pouring out of the drivers side from under the inlet manifold. the temp was standard for a bit then went to 3/4 then back too normal and i switched it off. About 1 minute after the tap water was going into radiator, steam came out of the radiator. We have found it to be the hose, and I havent moved or started the car since. dan(3l3teracing) did find the hose when he came over too have a look, and said this hose on the driver side, at the back of the block under the inlet manifold has spilt. heater hoses or something... note: it wasnt leaking water before hand, and 3 days prior i had checked the oils and water in the motor and topped up the power sterring fliud. after this i noticed a fish smell in the car, assuming the power steering fluid was the smell. other than that the car was running fine and no knocks or idle problems. I was wondering if this is bad news as it was around 6am on a cold morning... I'm going to get dan to replace the hose and do a test on it and we'll find out then, but I was just wondering if I should be looking for new pistons and a head or just get a Neo and replace the rb25det.

I jsut installed mine today. very impressed. With R33 theres a T piece, you remove this, you block the hose coming from the solaniod with a bolt. and from the waste gate you just plug into the controller like the pic supplied, and the other into the hose coming out of the pipe. Yes it works Another tip; hot water before you start on the rubber hoses loosens them up

What do you want your stopping distance too be? A tree?

jsut wondering what happens if they are too close or too far apart? I think the 5000rpm stutter is the coil packs, I've got too do mine this weekend, was going to check the spark plugs also.

well, I think I'm going to have to get my camera some new batteries. I am goin to attempt to install my fmic, 040 fuel pump and turbo tech boost controller this weekend I'm so glad the truck that rolled over on my ute didnt write it off, so I have a chance to get parts if need be.

im going to go pick mine up this arvo, and was wondering if I should get a after market boost controller before installing this. otherwise where abouts should I have it display on the boost gauge on the cluster? jsut under the 7? I'm puttin on the fmic this weekend and new fuel pump.

with the fuel gauge, I would say its the fuel pump and rod laying around in your tank. It would ahve come off the hook that it sits on. if this is the case, put it back on the hook. But if you are going to check it, and you do have future plans to upgrade your car, I would suggest replacing the fuel pump when checking this. its a c*** to open. i also have that noise, it sounds like the tailshaft is loose or something mechanical at the rear of the car. mine does it when I'm in 3rd gear and doing about 40km and i left the foot off the accelerate petal and no braking. I would like to know what it is, or how too fix it.

I dont race, and only personally amuse my self at work. 3.5k with brake and accel, left foot up and push hard on right and as long as you have good tyres and clutch, you should float along. trick is not too spin the tyres for more than 1 second. Its like a handbrake hill start. you jsut have to get the feel.

I'm surprised no one said NOS ;P but yeah, I'm doing my car up at the moment. done exhaust, suspension air box(replacing with cone for fmic), strut braces. got in shed, fmic, 040 fuel pump, turbo tech boot controller. got to get a pod and I'm thinking about brake upgrade. but first I think I'll go too the dentist.

Reason is because I dont have debt online banking or credit card I need one and been asking a few friends if they could but they dont want me having a faster car. Sort of sucks as my fmic coming this week and my fuel pump is sitting here all lonely

well my alternator belt snapped and the hose going into the heater core burst, took me 6 hours to get the thing off and a new one back on, and i hate those nissan clips, I'm glad I ended up finding some hose clamps. so glad the heater core didnt get damaged or my thermostat. but best of luck too you

just get an after market one, $50 and you use the key that they come with too tighten the 3 screws. they have rubber hats so it doesnt move also. or you could get a tap and dye set and do it yourself. get cutting agent also.

I've been on one point for 3 years... cant wait till next month also havent been doing much else except work I'm ordering fmic, fuel pump boost controller today. and the best way too get out of a fine, is too drop it into second.
