  1. thanks franga that looks great I'll give it a go tomorrow. What do people think of this for about $8.30 http://cgi.ebay.com.au/Cooling-Fan-SWITCH-...=item2eaa6b53d2 seems to plug into the back of the console where the power supply plugs in - then the power supply plugs into the fans... I reckon it's worth a go and they're all over ebay
  2. but mine is flashed so i can play 'international' and 'back-up' games. I dunno where I can get this done in Brisbane if i buy a new one... how much would I be looking at for just a basic console?
  3. I bought my 360 ages ago second hand off some guy - so no warranty. It's got RROD once before and I fixed it and it worked well for a while... but a few weeks ago it crashed and got the RROD again so does anyone know of a good online tutorial of how to fix it? Keen to do it myself and get it done asap so I can play it while I'm on uni holidays and get a few new games (red dead redemption, madden 11? anything else new??) Cheers guys.
  4. I know I'm going to be shot down for this, but oh well. Keep on doing regular BB squats mate - they're very good for the quads whereas the hammys stay pretty much completely inactive throughout the squat. So squats will help develop quads but will not develop your hammys at all. It is a common misconception in the gym that the hamstrings are active in the squat - however this has been disproven by mri scans and many other methods. Cheers.
  5. Fair enough that there may be no side effects (unless I spose you're having ridiculous amounts - but then again even water can kill you if you have too much... some guy died recently drinking 20L or something in one hit). Although those guidelines are for the athlete and heaps of recent research (stuff of pubmed and the like) hasn't found any benefit to megadosing on protein. I spose there could even be a placebo effect if you think that consuming more is better for you, but I don't think it's necessary to spend heaps and heaps of money on supplements, chicken breasts etc because the reality is we probably get enough from our standard diet.
  6. I'm very impressed that you can divide 311 by 72 and get 4.3 - you must have done quite well in grade 5 maths. However, if you read my post carefully you would've noticed that I said "about 5g", and I have included a definition of the word "about" for your benefit. "about": Imprecise but fairly close to correct. The current guidelines (the recommendations put together by the best dietitions, nutritionists, physiologists etc after consideration of the most current and most reliable research and statistics) state that the strength athlete should consume about (see definition above) 1.2-1.7g of protein per kg of bodyweight per day. What this means - Consumption upwards of this recommendation yields no apparent physiological benefits - and some detrimental effects can come of consuming excessive amounts of protein - chance of kidney disease can be increased, dehydration can occur, COST can also become a big issue. The typical Australian diet already contains plenty of protein, and many Australians exceed their protein requirements without even trying. Although as someone training for strength and size your protein needs are increased somewhat - along with your energy requirements. It is FACT, however, that as you increase your energy intake - your protein intake increases accordingly (basically in a linear relationship) simply due to the proteins contained in the everyday foods you consume. So basically, don't stress about drinking 78 protein shakes daily to get your 9.8142 kg of protein daily because that's what Joe Blogs said on the internet. To the OP - be very careful about what you read and hear on the internet, the strength and conditioning industry is full of people giving their opinions, many of which are plain wrong. I'm in no way claiming to be an expert or a professional, I'm just throwing up the most current guidelines.
  7. So you're recommending he consumes over 300g of protein daily? Have you based this on reputable, scientific research? This is about 5g of protein per kg of bodyweight per day - which is waaay too much!! It's heaps more than the body can process (unless he's training at a high intensity level for like 12 hrs straight every day...) Carbs are the important factor in post-exercise recovery.
  8. The Ballistic Racing Catalytic Converter is a 100 cells per square inch highflow racing cat. Tests on the Sureflo Exhaust website show it flows better then "metal cats" & "magic cats", it is also made totally out of stainless steel, including the substrate, unlike cheap knockoffs. It has a 4" diameter body, with 3" in and outlet piping. The one I have for sale is brand new and completely unused. I'm looking for 180+postage for the cat PM me on here, or emails to [email protected] Cheers Here is a picture of it For more info/pics, follow this link http://www.surefloexhaust.com.au/frame1600x1200.htm or email me.

  11. Hey Guys, I'm looking for a manual non turbo R32 or R33 in QLD I'd prefer an R32, but i've looked around and have not found any. If you have an appropriate skyline and are looking to sell, send me an email at [email protected] don't pm me on SAU, I check my emails far more regularly. Cheers
  12. Hey guys, I'm looking for a bike that I can ride both on and off road. Haven't really worked out a budget yet but its probably $800ish max. I'm thinking of buying a newish secondhand? How does this look? http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...em=230325723013 If its a good bike, what is the max price I should pay? Marc, have you got any good 2nd hand bikes at the moment?
  13. yesterday on my way to work saw a very nice R33 with 'zoom auto imports' painted all over it. Was in the Wynnum Manly area and I was driving a green pulsar SSS, as we got onto Wynnum road I pulled into the left lane (to give him some space) and the skyline driver changed down twice and all of a sudden i heard all this noise and there was no skyline in my rear view mirror anymore, which was a bit strange so I looked straight ahead and fading into the distance were these circular lights... hehehe. It was the loudest and nicest sounding car I have ever heard on the road, and I have never heard a louder turbo or BOV either.... This car was insane - I love it haha
  14. That steering wheel is sooo nice... what is it?
  15. Anyone using Musashi BULK? What's it like? I'm looking at getting into the gym next year, I'm already pretty fit but I'm tiny so my main aim will be putting on a bit of weight and looking nice and cut. BULK (from what I can tell in my noob-ness) looks like a good product for me (muscle gain) but I was just after your opinions. Cheers

  23. Hey guys I'm looking for a first car. I really want something that will be good fun to drive and will last me a good few years, preferably manual. Due to new laws I can't have a car with any supercharger, rotary engine, V8 or more, or more than 200kW. My price bracket would be up to about $7500. So if any of you guys have anything for sale, or know of somebody who has a car for sale in the Brisbane area let me know!! Thanks heaps
  24. Hey guys, looking for my first car! I've always loved Skylines and unfortunately I'm limited to the non-turbos only... I'd be looking at spending up to about 8k, wanting a non-turbo Skyline with reasonably low Ks in the Brisbane area. If any of you guys see or hear or have one for sale I'd love to hear about it. Any help would be greatly appreciated thanks guys
