Howdy all, Was wondering if anyone could help with the above problem. The car runs fine at speed, just when it's idling it seems a bit rough, not back firing but almost. Was told it could be a blocked fliter in the blow off pipe heading back to the sump? Any ideas? Cheers.

Cheers, Luckily I stil haven't found time to check it out so will look at it when I get home tonight. Thanks, sounds like you may have saved me quite a bit of work. (:

Once again, cheers to all for all the advice, I've written out a shopping list for the weekend and will hopefully get time to have a play tomorrow. Much appreciated again. Cheers,

Sweet as! I know the ones from the amp to the subs are shielded, but will check the ones from the head unit to the splits. Awesome thanks for that. (:

Howdy, I think they are, the guy who I bought it off put in the stereo and I don't think he was all there. Unfortunately I've been flat out with work for the last 2 weeks and haven't had a chance to dig too deep into this problem. I'm going to try and get onto it this weekend. Thanks for all the help, it's been invaluable. This site rocks! Cheers to all!

Cheers for the comments guys, but I can't take credit for it, I bought it with the stereo in it. The amps are Blitz, 1x1000w and 1x5000 which I'm pretty sure are cheap ebay items? And the subs are Sony 15" explod 3000w in custom boxes which he didn't line with any dampers, so that's a job for this weelend. Thanks for the offer of amps etc, but will stick with what I've got for a bit. Getting married next year (yeah I know, lol) so no $'s for luxury items at the moment. That's why I bought the skyline. last chance before I don't have 100% say in where my dollars go. Thanks for the help too, will have a look over the whole wiring and see what I can find. Skyline on!!!!

Hey Guys, Was wondering if antone knew what was causing this problrm. When I turn my stereo on low volume you can hear the engine revs through the stereo. Is it the wiring? Cheers
-
Cheers, thanks for doing that for me. Will check in the engine bay. All that I have found so far is a plate that anyone could've put in there.

Cool, thanks for that. My vin is (This is how it is written on the transfer papers) 6U9000BNR32000861.

Cheers! Thanks for that. And yes I will check it in for service ASAP. Hope it doesn't uncover any major problems.

Hey Guys, Long time reader, first time writer. I've just purchased my first Skyline and I couldn't be happier with it. But have a few questions I hope someone can help me with. Firstly, when I purchased the car the guy I bought it off told me this was one of only 560 units made, the nissan group-A evolution series, but on some research I found that these were produced in 1990 not 1989, does anyone know anything about this model and how to tell if it is actually one? Also, when I switch the car off the Hicas light comes on and I can feel a small clunk which seems to be coming from near the front wheels, is this normal? Cheers guys.
