Hi Guys/Girls Im wondering what kind of power I'll get out of the following setup: (I know some mods wont increase power but just putting down my complete setup) RB25det (stock internals) CAI Apexi Pod Filter T04E Flowing Low Mount Manifold 2 1/2 inch High Flow Turbo back exhaust with high flow cat SAFC Stock Bov Profec EBC Yellow Jacket Coilpacks H/D Excedy Clutch Maybe putting a bosch fuel pump in (not sure if i'll need it yet) Just looking at around about power figure, im sure it wouldnt be much. what u guys think? Hi Guys/Girls Ive been searching a while now for a Internal Wastegate 5 Bolt to 6 Bolt exhaust flange, i cant seem to find a 6 bolt (rb25det) one but have found similar like Swingvalve For Internal Wastegate 5 Bolt to 4 Bolt Discharge, need some help if anyone has found or seen anything like the one i need/want, I know i could just use the v-band thats on it now but i have already got a split dump pipe and figured it would be more benifical and cheaper to find a bolt on convertor for the turbo.. heres a pic of what i found, im sure you all know the bolt pattern i need !! check the wear in the outer joint of the half shaft, so pull the half shaft out (CV) and knock the outer off, clean it, regrease it and clamp the boot back on, could be wear there.. sounds to me like a worn outer.

No but because your moving it to a high mount position, you will have to change quite a few things. 1. Oil Line, Probably smarter to go with braided. 2. Water Lines, same again or you could cut the line and extend with hose (High qaulity coolant hose) 3. You would have to fabrication your dump pipe, either extend it or just buy a new one to suit what you need. 4. Extend Your Drain. Theres a few more but you get the picture, for the stock turbo its not really worth it, each to there own though. Good luck Richard.

I'll take a picture as to how the actuator rod is sitting now as it is dead straight. When I rotated the housing I unbolted the bracket 45 degrees then rebolted it as the bolt patern was even all over, I'm pretty sure it has made no difference in the position of the actuator. Sweet I'll just machine out the port that's no biggy, must I use the original flap off my stock turbo? Or will this one be sufficient? Cheers Richard

I've been thinking about it more and I will just get a standard 5 bolt stainless flange and weld it to the dumpy when I rotated the front housing the actuator rod and bracket is in the same position as before i didn't rotate this with the housing.. Why would it be different now mate? Could u explain to me why I would have to machine the port out?

For the turbo hitting the engine mount sorry that was my stupidity i just rotated the housing around, the snail was on the mount. For the flange im going to mount everything then drive it across the road and get my exhaust guy to just weld the front dump-pipe to the exhaust housing.. wont worry about keeping it split, seems to much work thanks for the advice about the restrictor i now understand with the plain bearing setup. are these anygood or just cheap? So the only way around this is to unbolt this cover and disable the wastegate and somehow get it to function someother way? or is there a dump pipe that will fit over all this and attach to the original bolts (may have to get longer bolts)

Hi Guys/Gals Im quite new to working on turbo cars and I've ran into a few problems fitting my new T04e (Probably cheap chinese, i bought it new from a mate) #1 Problem : This is my problem, my current split dump pipe uses the stock flange but this new turbo doesnt have a flange yet and im wondering how i would go about getting on fitted on the T04E, as u can see its just round.. how did you's get around this? #2 Problem : The stock manifold makes this turbo sit on the engine mount which isnt a drama as i was looking at a new turbo manifold, wanting to stay low mount im wondering how will i know that the new manifold will not remotely the same, as you can see in the picture ill have bugger all chance getting that part hooked up. Im also guessing ill need to get the flange welded on this aswell. #3 Problem : Which isnt really a problem but more of a question, ive been reading that i may need a oil restrictor in the feed line. Is there a way i can check this before cranking it over? Im guessing i can blow out the seals with to much oil or blow it with restricting to much. Thanks Guys ive included pics, sorry that its dark. is this all the heater hoses aswell or are you talking about just radiator top and bottom?

Hi Guys/Girls Ive been searching the forum and internet and i cant seem to find a complete set of heater/coolant hoses for the rb25det, I've found plenty for the 26dett but zero for mine.. Has anyone found any or know where i can get them from? Thanks Richard

Like a few people said it may look clean but it still has build up.. if you really wanted to fix it you would be trying everything you read and not making assumptions on what it is.

Have a look at JJR (Just Jap Racing) they have there own part of the forsale section, he has a Front mount kit that requires very little modification, it keeps all the stock pipes and you only need to grind your reo bar back a little. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/Co...er-t209304.html thats the link. Hi Guys I've been thinking about building a RB26dett and putting it into my 33, although i have a few questions regarding it. 1.Since ill be keeping it RWD would my current RB25det box bolt up to the 26dett without an adapter plate? also would the tailshaft need to be a different length? 2.Could i place a R32 RB26 in a R33? or would it be best to keep to the same model (r33) so the loom is quite similar? 3.Am i looking at a good power differance compared to the 25? 4.Will it drop straight in? (engine mounts different?) I did try and search but i couldnt seem to find what i needed answered. hopefully someone has done this and kept it RWD, Thanks for the help guys/gals Richard

Hi guys Since my car has been imported (R33 GTS-T) i keep having problems with all my heater/coolant hoses, they all keep getting pin size holes, its been a different hose everytime but over the last 2 months this will be the 3rd different hose..?? just wondering if anything could be causing this?? or is this just result of all of them old and brittle and just never been changed before? probably a good idea to put the car into a workshop and get them all changed? Stupid question i know. Just never had this problem before, and its quite annoying to get to the tricky ones around behind the block Thanks Guys/Girls Richard
