  1. Could it have been the radius support rod bushes? Mine have failed also... another reason I''m not off to the tack today... should have it fixed next week.
  2. Might just have to attend this event.
  3. Might just have to attend this event.
  4. GTR Jason, Check pm's. Matt, I believe that Jason was looking for me. Cheers all, Dan.
  5. RH9, That is good news. Have you seen my post about the putty road cruise? it is sticky in this section. I have also found that I have had some loose piping etc and am getting it fixed (adding a front pipe and a high flow cat also) so will be looking forward to the next dyno day too. Take care, Dan.
  6. Hey All, Gonna have to say I'll catch you next time... work has managed to get in the way of a track day for the first time ever. Have fun you lucky buggers! Dan.
  7. Dad, My car is track worthy but not being used due to a lack of money and the need for new tyres. If you would like to use it you may. (Conditions apply.) Son.
  8. Ed, Your right. I just noticed that you are from orange. I was out there last weekend. I'll actually be there again in a few weeks. Maybe we can catch up for a beer next time I come out. Dan.
  9. I think all that has been said needs to be thought about and maybe something needs to be organised for these days so that we can prevent accidents that may occur. We are lucky to have people attend our track days that have driven on tracks before, Red, Bonkers, Xrsist and myself to name a few... some have even had profesional training, Oz, fatz, Silver. Maybe we should look at using these people for tips and pointers, I know that it is not too often that I do a lap without a passenger and I am always happy to take someone with me and show them some lines and breaking points. Having an experienced driver with me on my first trip helped a lot. I know that many of the other people that I have mentioned don't mind taking a passenger to show them the ropes also. Maybe we should look at those that know where they are going must take a newbie with them to get them started. maybe then we can stay as a group and don't have to deal with SS drivers and their "I'm **** hot" mentality. Just my thoughts, Dan. PS. Last time I went up a group I actually found that my lap times were slower, I think it was because our group were very good at moving over, the group above were not. The ultimate solution is to book the track privatly for us only!
  10. JimX, Know the feeling.
  11. Black33, It depends on plenty of things. I have 162rwkw and can spin second sometimes third in the dry but my tyres are now pretty shot... when they were new 255/40 17's I had to push pretty hard to spin first (ie, give it 5 grand and sidestep the clutch!) Do you only have zorst? do you also have wider wheels on the back? more rubber on the road means harder to spin.
  12. Ed, I did think of that but wasn't sure due to it being a different to usual and a fair way off the beaten track (M4) meeting location. Seeing as this has been surggested then we will make the meet at Windsor/Mcgraths hill Macca's on windsor road. (This means that I can still come down through Springwood rd!) Silver, As always the more the merrier. Dan.
  13. option two Ring tutor 2 days before and explain that your uncle has died and you have to go to his funeral. Ask if there is some work you can get before hand to catch up on for the next class. Explain that you are really sorry to have to miss one of their classes and that you hope they understand.
  14. GTR-80Y, Very easy. Turn Up to track day on Thursday. Take Friday Off as well. Ring Doctor on Friday arvo... way too late for appointment so book for Monday. See Doc early on Monday morning and tell him you had crook guts or something and just couldn't make it to uni on Thursday and Friday and could you get a doc cert. enjoy your four day weekend. and go to uni if needed on Monday!
  15. Spoke to my mate, Looks like you are looking at QLD if your lucky. I also informed Craig, he has the contact details of someone in QLD that may be able to help.
  16. Hey All, I have decided that I will organise a cruise up the putty road for the first Sunday in November. This cruise will be a nice gental cruise as many haven't been up this road before and there are some quite twisty sections that could see someone come unstuck. Please note that the most common legal speed sign along this road reads 100km/h, so it won't be a boring cruise at all. I have some suggested meeting locations listed in the poll, however if the 6c option is selected then could someone please put their hand up to be a coordinator at this location. The putty road will take approximatly a full day to complete both directions, so it is advisable to bring a passenger too keep you company. I will be planning a stop approximatly every two hours though to streatch legs etc. I have done the trip up this road and back and had plenty of fuel to spare from a full tank, in fact I was even able to keep going to the Hunter Valley and drive around there for 3 days on the same tank! Please post up who is interestered so I can work out more specific details. Cheers, Dan.
  17. Ok, I think it will be on Sunday the 3rd of November. I'll start a new thread (which appears below) so please refer to that. Dan. http://forums.skylinesaustralia.com/showth...=&threadid=3179
  18. I might have the guy for the job... I'll call him and ask. be back soon.
  19. Is bloody hard work.... but can be done if one puts there mind to it! LOL Sorry Prank... just a shame that your so right!
  20. ok, It'll be November, Probably will be best on a week day, those that said weekend prefered, if enough notice is given can you do a week day in November?
  21. Peak, That is exactly what I love about it!!
  22. Last time I travelled along it I was able to catch up to only about four vehicles in the whole trip. My average speed would probably have been 100kph (including the 60kph sections, very very tight), but I was watching the up coming corners etc. Depending how much risk you want to take depends on how "reckless" you can be... it needs to be remembered that this is a public road.
  23. I'm with PeakRPM, brendanf, | hype^ | and XrSiSt. Sell current Sky, include in Home loan $40k extra for GTR!
  24. Very Nice... I really wanted a silver one... maybe next time. I know what you'll be going through now. The last week, week and a half was the worst for me. It had been SOOOOO long and there was SOOOO little time left... it seemed to take as long as the 2 months before hand! Look forward to seeing it in the metal!!!
