  1. Thanks guys, keep it coming... I have emailed the series directors to come and have a look at this thread... so hopefully your constructive feedback can help us put on a better show!
  2. Likewise mate... I still expect you to get a trophy this round... I plan on it!
  3. Mate I was all set to come... but all the staff are away or rostered off and not prepared to work, so looks like the budget is getting Sat AND sun loadings for OT!
  4. 7:30am I think... but I can't be sure. Check www.driftaustralia.com.au
  5. The biggest thing would be the tracks and their layouts in Aust, it is really difficult to find a good track with a number of fast corners in a row... My initiation speeds vary, from 120km/h up to 160km/h depending on the distance you have to the first turn from the start line. The thing that changes is that generally the Jap guys go straight into a open corner, some tighten late, but usually there is an opportunity to get a nice big 4th gear drift going before you get to that point. Most of the tracks we run on you have to slow right down and then build speed. Eastern Creek is going to be the closest to a Jap Track IMHO that we have ever run, a big fast sweeping right hander into a slightly tighter left, a little straight to build some speed, with the big chalange to stay sideways (we will make this look easy of course!), before lighting them up all the way through 12 and onto the straight! I can't wait for the weekend... gonna kick arse! Dan.
  6. Ya better come Saturday then... will be some kick arse drifting then too!
  7. From experience, there is heaps of cars on track on Saturday, lots of spins, and some awesome drifting in the morning while people learn their limits, Saturday arvo Qualifying can produce some spellbinding runs... particularly if someone nails their first qualifyer and goes all out for that top spot!!! pure gold. And there is team drift at the end as well. Sunday is Battles a plenty, infact all day long... and with team drift in between it is certainly going to be a top display of wicked drifting... there can be some breaks in between through (although I have heard that by the arvo those on the hill won't mind too much as they can use the time for a pit stop to get rid of excess booze!) This round though DA are trying really hard to have track action all day long on Sunday and to get rid of the gaps. Me, I'd just go both days... hell for $35 for the whole weekend and that gets you pit access and the best seats in the house, compared to the V8 taxi's starting at $100 for a weekend for paddock access at Oran Park... can't beat it! If I had to Choose it would be Sunday... but I'd be pissed I had missed seeing the action on Saturday. Hope that helps, Dan.
  8. How was the overall coverage though peeps? feed back to what you like is really important.
  9. hoping my sis tapped it for me... otherwise it will be begging to see it on Inside Speed on FOx Sports this Thursday.
  10. yeah... I try not to! lol
  11. It is... that is why I'm so broke all the time! Need a sponsor to pay me that much to put his name on my doors!
  12. Did I show you the new Pipe work and Catch can that RoadRunner Fabrications made up for me? Very Pretty!!! Cooler Pipes Catch Can And also someone asked a while back about dyno graphs... I finally remembered to get them... and they are below. First is Power,224RWKW @ 12psi (0.9bar). We did another run with 20psi (1.3bar) and only made 227rwkw... so it is time for a bigger huffer... BRING IT ON. Second is torque... again same settings as above, in fact same run! Max 712NM, Min 497NM, AVERAGE across the run was 644NM
