  1. what sort of motard slip?
  2. gary McCoy is probably the best at it, of the GP guys. When he had a decent bike and was in the top 5 he was pushing really hard. Braking so hard into corners that the rear of the bike unweights and slides all over the track. The Supermotard guys are something else. Its a completely different style of riding. The bikes only weigh 100-140kg so they are the fastest bikes through the twisties. Power is between 30 to 80hp, and being a big bore single cylinder they sound like nothing else.
  3. Check out some drifting action on 2 wheels. Known as supermotard, it is in a similar position to drifting in Australia: big in other countries, and just starting to gain popularity here.
  4. Not too many cars as neat, fast and good looking as that car! Shame about the colour though.
  5. right........ Also some guy is bragging about his modified MX6 running 14.8 1/4.........
  6. forester GT's are horn. WRX wagons are also good cars. Not a whole lot else "practical" and fast for that dosh
  7. psi = pound per square inch. an imperial uni for measuring pressure
  8. had a flick through Auto Salon and found the article "fastest GT-R in Oz" didn't read it (no time to) but i hear it runs 8.96. is that car owned by an SAU member? if so, i thought it had run a quicker time than that... also that twin turbo rotary M3 was very nice.....
  9. what car is it? with what mods?
  10. maybe those rules form just part of the overall reg's. EG: a big 2000kg chev can have a 9/10L big block, but i doubt a GTR could have a 7L engine using the same multiplier. In Vic, other rules come into play such as increase in cylinders compared to std engine, etc
  11. thanks for the replys fellas
  12. Not interested in full comprehensive insurance ATM - too expensive. Anyone have 3rd party fire and theft? i've tried a few places with no luck. famous dont offer it. Just cars only insure for $4k, and i'm waiting for a reply from shannons. I am yet to contact unique or elders (only just found out about them). I'm 20. 2.5 years driving under parents name, no accidents, no fines etc, looking to insure 3rd party F&T, s14 200sx @ market value. sorry if this has been posted before. i searched and only found any decent info for full comp insurance. cheers
  13. thats what i thought. let me find the ad.....
  14. with an over square engine, the RB26 is always going to be less torquey, especially compared to a sqaure, sequential turbo setup supra. maybe its a little exaggerated (i havent driven either car) but with the figures posted, the supra is going to be a more driveable car.
  15. no way! stageas are unreal! also i saw a 4 door R34 GTR 4 sale. $75000. that was nice..
  16. i'd say it would have to be new
  17. 4dr prices aren't a lot different to 2 door. i havent seen any series 2 though. mainly series 1 for very similar price to 2drs
  18. thanks lookin at the pics and the description i'm pretty sure thats the car i was thinkin about. thanks again.
  19. i dont think it was the one in that photo. its the one in vin deisels crew. theres the ADD guy with the jetta. the R33 GTR, 200SX, and then the blue thing. it didn't look like tha thing in the photo blazn posted. BTW it was FWD. i thought maxima was RWD
  20. new liberty GT 350Z BMW Z4 or maybe a turbo quattro audi
  21. yeah super expensive. a mate got a quote for his soarer. $14,000 fully fitted. that what he paid for the car as well.......
  22. wouldn't a rubber intake pipe close up with the lower pressure?
