the ones i have seen for sale are a little cheaper than that - around 96-98 models for $40k and up. i think they are mush more expensive to modify which is why they aren't as popular as the GT-R
i remember seeing an article in a mag about driving two different porsche's around a race track and the g's on every corner. I think they were 911 turbos. under brakes was up to 1.1g and acceleration was 0.6g or so from memory. you could work out an average G force for your acceleration from drag strip times - eg 60ft time would be best. just physics formulas. post some times and I or someone else could tell you the g force
in vic it's 25k's over and you lose your license for a month! 20 over in a 110 zone (or maybe 100+ zone - not sure) and you lose it.
my boss lost his license for a year for doing 100 in a 60 zone in his brand new M3
i read earlier in the year the subaru have developed a new system for their turbo WRC rally cars which gives them almost full boost from idle. and the source didn't know how it was done. they also said it made a sort of whistling sound. any ideas if it is like the nissan sys tem described here?
rezz, yeah i agree.
the r33 wont be the most practical car of choice for me, but the other cars i would like (stagea, forester GT) are a bit out of my price range.
yeah the same engine will be used in alfa's and some other brand cars under the GM ownership, in different configurations (3.0, 3.6, 3.8L). estimated 200kw is pretty decent. wonder id they will turbo it to go head to head with the XR6T? that would make some serious power. would be a much better engine than the "new" gen 4 double pushrod engine that is supposed to be going in the VZ SS etc. still i don't think i will buy Oz again for a while......
anyone know if any models of R33 had the split fold rear seat. as far as i know there are none.
its a shame i reckon. would be good for the snowboard/surfboard.
better low down torque from the 4cyl? how does the bore/stroke ratio compare. i don't know a lot about these engines but i was inclined to think that the 6cly would be torquier.
RB20 has a higher redline yeah?
white mags look unreal. i like the 5, 6 or 7 solid spoke type. look unreal on red, white, black, purple, blue and gun metal colours. not so much on wine red and navy tho.
gonna get some when i buy an R33 in a month or 2
