  1. Thanks Sydney Kid one more thing where can I get one from?
  2. Im after a standard R32 wastgate actuator for my r33. does any one have one of these? or know where I can get one?
  3. Does any body have any info on the wastgate actuator for R32 turbo ive heard it doesnt open til 10psi. Is this true? Would it fit in place of the r33 item? Anybody else done this? HKS one is cheap enough but im not keen on running 12 - 13psi with standard intercooler/turbo. Plus anymore the 10psi and my engine seems to ping on hot days. Gets to over 40 deg there in Horsham.
  4. Found a link to this on the autospeed site http://www.autospeed.com.au/cms/article.html?&A=0115
  5. Guys I have being reading a book called 21st century performance (author Julian Edgar. eiditor of autospeed). There is a full section in this book on water injection. one part of this is Boost pressure water injection. Which uses a SUE18A nozzle. One end of the nozzle is connected to boost pressure, and the other to a Pressurised water tank (ie Radiator header tank). The nozzle is to be placed before the compressor wheel so it can be compressed with the air. The amount of water injected depends on the boost pressure so while off boost no water is needed a water ball valve is used to ajust how much water is sprayed. This sounds like a good cheap system to prevent detination, Has anyone set up a similar system to this?
  6. Hey guys im having the same problem. Im using a turboxs bleeder set to 10psi as soon as I hit 5000rpm boost slowly drops back to 7 psi by 7000rpm. Standard turbo and standard IC.
  7. Yep im a computer tech to
  8. Redusing the gap of your plugs helps run smoother at higher revs because the spark has less distance to jump standard is a gap of 1.1mm. Good idea to regap them if uping the boost. there probbly is a slight power gain to but the main thing I noticed was the overall smoothless of the engine at high revs.
  9. Getting my SAFC 2 installed and tuned at ICE performance on Saturday. Mods are Cat back exhaust 10psi K&N panel filter plugs gapped at 0.8 and yes I have the dreaded flatspot ill let you guys know how it gos.
  10. From information ive learnt on this site ive managed to create a in cabin dual boost switch for my GTS25T. Firstly as some of you already know standard boost is 5psi to 4500rpm and then 7psi til 7000rpm. This is done by a simple soliniod with the computer switches on when it reaches 4500rpm Bleeds of air therefore boost increses By simply unpluging the to wires conected to this you can connect a switch in its place.Run one wire to the positive side of the battery and the other to one side off the switch then from there to ground or the negitive terminal. The resualt is you control the boost 5 or 7 psi when ever you choose at the flick of a switch I took this a step further by an Ajustable air resrictor just before the bleed off soliniod. The result 6psi or 10psi with the flick of a switch in the glove box. Hope some of you can get something out of this leart heeps from this site my turn to give some info back to the rest of you. PS:Only problem is I seem to have flat spots when on 10psi. Think its a over fueling issue SAFC2 will hopefully fix this. Anyone know if you can run dual boost with the SAFC?
  11. Does anyone know how to test if your AFM is faulty I get the flat spot at about 4k (only in first and 2nd). Unfortunatly I live in the country no one with an r33 arround to swap meters with but there must be a way of testing it.
  12. How much for the AFM
  13. about the springs will I need shocks as well how much lower than standard will it make my car
  14. What does a R33 AFM cost is mine is stuffed
  15. Adam 32 the flatspot is not very big although it varys slight surge at 80 Ks than starts accelerating normally. This mainly only happens in 2nd gear though. Power in all other gears is consistant right up to 7000 rpm
  16. Got the same prob with my 2nd geer around 80 km mark. From serching the forums there are 3 things you can try 1. Different plugs (old ones my be fowled or gapped incorrectly) 2. Air flow meter might be stuffed 3 SAFC standed (ECU overfueling)
  17. Robo's Yours sounds exactly the same as mine. Have you tried a smaller gap on your plugs yet? Unfortunatly I live out in the country and I am the only one in town with a r33 gtst so I cant swap the air flow meter with someone. Anyone else had this problem and solved it (cant afford SAFC).
  18. Thanks some very helpful info there for anybody considering this mod. Thanks for the Dyno readouts Robo. I would be interested in seeing a dead stock skylines power curve is anyones got one. Full exhaust, FMIC, cool air intake, fuel cut defender, 11PSI and SAFC 2 would be the ultimate for this MOD to work to its full potential. Pitty I cant afford all those goodies think ill start with Robo,s Dual boost controller setup will let you all know how it goes.
  19. By the way the cars not completely stock it has HKS Super drager exhaust (cat back) and a blitz blow of valve.
  20. Thanks robo sounds great. One question where is the best place to plumb the boost controller? Read an article on autospeed. But installing the valve in this way does not seem to increase the boost from factory until it hits 3500 in the rev rage. http://www.autospeed.com/A_0028/P_1/article.html
  21. Thanks guys anybody have a rough idea on the increase from standard?
  22. Thinking of installing a boost bleed valve and setting it to 10psi have a vew questions first though. What Roughly would the power gain be from standard? Should I considor more or less boost (93 gtst manual with exhaust and blow off valve)? Will standard ECU be ok or will I need SAFC? Anything I should considor before doing this?
  23. Thanks predator, Heard many good things about SAFC sounds like the go boost controller and cold air intake will be first though
