are the tyres mis-matched? i have to agree with the being shitty though... but as they came as a deal with the Volks, i thought it would be ok to drive them around for awhile before changing them. And yes, the rims are second hand but has been professionally polished and checked. the tyres shop checked the rims again when i did balancing for the 2nd time and all seems to be good. I do agree that simply brushing the problem away by saying balancing was done till 110km/h and its all good is not really helpful. Its not as if im expecting my car to be balanced and aligned to 250km/h but just 130-140km/h. Now i do believe that many of you out there have traveled at that speed, i have also seen 4wds going at the speed on the freeway.

tried www.visionr.com.au ?? that shop has quite abit of tasty goodies though they are more evo friendly... they are in WA as well so that would be easier for you.

will rotation be okay when im running 215 on the front and 235 at the rears? will definitely drop by pedders and see what they can do about it. cheers mate! hmm, do you think 215 shitty tyres on the front could very well be the cause if the vibrations?? anyway, will try the rotations and a check at pedders and see how it goes. *sigh*

Ash, i have sold the screen and is looking at putting defis with the CF surround which i got from overseas but have yet to put them on due to work. Might wanna give autotainment near burswood casino along GEH(GULF servo).

*stressed* im gonna see if there is any way i can get new rubbers on the car soon and see if that will remove the vibrations... but till i do so, next time im on a cruise, im sticking to 120km/h then.

hmm... i have got weights as well and has been balanced twice already... so i believe i have done what you have done too.. but still no change. as my tyres were brand new with the rims, i cant justify changing it after only 2 months aye...

when i had my first balancing at another shop, there was no stick on weights at all and was off by abt 100g each wheel!! lol... but before the 1st balancing, i can only do 90km/h max.. it got better after the 1st balacing at least i could go up to 130km/h but still vibrating on the steering:( i dont want a skyline that can go 130km/p max!!

Hi, i have a r34gtt sedan and recently had Volks GTC 17 put onto it. but since i get my new rims, my steering wheel will vibrate quite badly at 120km/h onwards! i have done balancing and alignment but it is still the same. i have 215 archilles on the front and 235 neuton on the rears. I think it might be the tyres but would there be anything else causing this?? due to a tight budget, i dont wanna spend 1k+ on tyres and not solving the problem. still on stock suspension and has a front strut bar. Had shitty tyres on my stock rims too but it wasnt doing this. When it vibrates, i can hardly feel the road and have to slow down and even braking, i do not dare to brake too hard. anyone having this issue too? on the side track, i went to a tyre shop for balancing and alignment service and after the service, i went to test the car and still vibrating so i went back to the shop. instead of helping me out, that guy was telling me off for driving at 120km/h and kept insisting that the balancing was good to 110km/h and doesnt see any problem!! and even said if im not happy with his service he can refund me the money in a pretty loud voice!! so much for customer service... so i rebutted him saying im preparing for the drags and he said well, if you are going to the drags, u will have to re-balance your wheels again anyway!! wtf!! and the classic part was "mate, you should be expecting this when you had afermarket rims on your car as stock rims are better!!" so much for someone who is selling tyres and rims. He should then stop selling tyres with speed ratings above 120!

well, could be the auto box losing another 10-15hp for me. well, after spending on the nistune and ebc, i really was expecting about 240 hp. (215hp prior to installation but has a really shitty AFR) 180kw was a tad little disappointing. but oh well, since im not too far away, i shall keep working towards it. will be getting another turbo, injectors and fuel pump when i go for my hols in feb. will see how it goes. but shd be getting a high flow cat next week. will scan the dyno paper tomorrow at work and let you guys have a look.

boost peaks at 12psi cos i have been reading alot that for the stock turbo, the safe tune would be at 12 psi. did thought of pushing it to 14psi but wouldnt want the turbo to die on me too soon thus had it at 12 psi. you reckon its safe to have it at 14 psi? but i dun thrash the car all the time by the way.

Hi everyone! had nistune installed onto my r34 (Neo engine) with auto tranny and the dyno results showed 233hp (12 psi)at the wheels. I have stock turbo and engine, 3in exhaust with 3.5 catback to cannon. FMIC, air filter, EBC, custom oiler cooler and radiator, HKS BOV. Now after seeing everyone's postings on their dyno results, im thinking is my results too little?? 233hp whereas similar setup, the other guuys are getting at least 210rwkw. Im not sure if there is anything wrong 2ndly: My aim is about 400hp atw and I am going overseas where I will be able to get my hands on parts at a relatively cheaper price so wanna get some advice on what parts i should get. Roughly, im getting a upgrade on my injectors(500cc or 600cc?), fuel pump (bosch 044) and a GT-RS turbo. is there any other recommendations from you guys on what i should get to achieve that aim? Reliability is my top priority as it is my daily car.
