Just got my PowerFC installed and I have been monitoring my engine knock. Normally it is between 12 and 37. The other day it was pretty hot during the day at it went up to 67. Is this something to be worried about, or is it pretty normal?

R34 Gtr Steering Wheel On R33 Gtr
R33-RB26DETT replied to white180sx's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Hey I am keen to do this on mine as well, just worried that it might not be the safest idea. In theory it should still work, what makes you think that it wont work mate? Its also a good sign that they airbag warning light doesn't come on. -
Jim, face it everyone knows you are lying. Also don't try to deviate from the facts. 1) You cant substantiate that what you advertised was accurate. 2) You have obviously been caught out screwing over others Reference 3) You verbally abuse and threaten prospective customers rather than apologise and try to resolve situations. You can't substantiate ANY of your claims. You are pathetic, and should be banned. You are a waste of Bandwidth and precious Oxygen. I have nothing else left to say to you, I hope that nobody else ever has the displeasure of having to deal with you. Goodbye, Harry
-
Jim, are you always this stupid or are you just making a special effort today? You just proved to the whole world how much of an illiterate, uneducated and unsophisticated fool you really are! I am surprised you can run a business if you don't even know how to spell and count. :laughing-smiley-014: I wonder how much you had to pay BOOST Magazine to advertise your shoddy workshop.. ? Even your website is pathetic, spelling mistakes, broken links everywhere. Again, I offered you $23,500. But you didn't want to meet up because I questioned the validity of your claims. I am baffled as to how anyone with half a brain would ever entrust their car with your workshop.
-
Mate you are full of sh|t! I offered you $23,500 and I said that I had cash ready to go! You didn't want to meet up because I questioned the validity that it was a genuine S-Tune. SIMPLE AS THAT. How dare you try to make up false accusations, you are obviously just getting desperate with nothing else to backup your claims so you take a personal attack. Facts which still remain: 1) You cant substantiate that what you advertised was accurate. 2) You have obviously been caught out screwing over others Reference 3) You verbally abuse and threaten prospective customers rather than apologise and try to resolve situations. Honestly, I feel sorry for you Jim. You are pathetic.

Thanks mate, yeah I am just so grateful for this online community. It has saved me on numerous occasions, and easily saved me thousands of dollars.
-
Jim you are a blatantly lying and you didnt want to meet up becuase you knew I had exposed your attempt to rip off honest people. Everything you say is worthless, and your businesses reputation now lays in ruins. Needless to say all of the above is false and irritates me so much because all I wanted was to buy quickly and hassle free. After all this, you still refuse to apologise for how you treated me, and continue to make false accusations. Honestly Jim, you have a lot to learn about business and how to treat people. You falsely advertised this vehicle and I have actually contacted the ACCC and reported you. I have kept all of your abusive and misleading messages sent from you as well. These will be passed on and supplied as evidence of your shady tactics to the ACCC. Also this story and post has been reported to A Current Affair, hopefully the whole of Australia will see your shady business tactics.

Of course he's not commenting mate. He wants the thread closed and he wants this to all go away. But that not going to happen, its all out it the open now.

I would like to inform everyone about the lies, verbal abuse and shocking treatment I have received from Jim at OH Performance. Firstly, I enquired about this car looking for a quick hassle free transaction. I received the VIN and engine number so that I could confirm all the details advertised. Babyskyline(a forum member) then ran these through Nissan FAST only to find that the car was in fact a February 1995 V-Spec even through he was bieng advertising this as a 1996 V-Spec with an Nismo Built Engine. I called and confronted him about these discrepancies and the fact it was not a genuine S-Tune. He said that R33 GTR's Nismo S-Tunes never had the red painted rocker covers, but the engine has the letter 'S' on the block so it must be real. In fact he said only the R32 and R34 GTR's had these red painted rocker covers and the placard in the engine bay. Then I asked him why doesnt it have a placard in the engine bay saying it was built in the Omari factory by Nismo? He didnt have an answer for that one! But he still insisted it was a genuine S - Tune. Unbelievable, this guy just wouldn't give up! Also I confronted him regarding the fact that the front may have been in some sort of accident since all the front end parts had been repaired, to which his reply was "Its hard to find a car this old these days which hasnt been in some sort of accident". Obviously it had been in an accident. Even after all this I was still wanting to meet up and at least take a look at the car, so I messaged him again and asked to meet up over the long weekend any time and I would come down to him. He didnt reply to me, and said he has to ask him wife and get back to me. Fair enough. I smelt a scam though and I sensed that he was afraid I was on to him, so just to be sure I had my mate call him and try to organise a time to meet up during the weekend(without questioning the validity of his claims). Guess what, he was happy to meet the next day! Obviously he was trying to avoid me because I was questioning his lies and he didnt want them to be uncovered. I messaged him and told him that he was very rude for at least not replying to message and that if he didn't want to sell the car he shouldn't of advertised it. He then called back and advised me that he was "out of reach" on the weekend, even though he admitted he received my message. Then his excuse was that he was "very busy". After all this he still didnt even apologise! I didnt care, I just wanted to meet up and buy the car even though the alarm bells should have been ringing by now and telling me to just walk away. So he agreed to meetup the next evening, BUT again lies! The next morning I got a message saying "Car has been sold, thanks for the free add on SAU about the car mate". I knew this was just another lie and replied "Mate, I highly doubt the car has been sold. Furthermore you need to learn some manners, you are just a timewaster." His reply back was "Another Tosser". Then proceeded to send other message saying "I know its just that you didnt have enough money to buy the car, so maybe just buy an R31 like your forum mates said." I didnt reply to this message, and I though I would just leave it since this guy obviously has some serious issues. I would strongly advise AGAINST anyone ever dealing with Jim from OH Performance, also I would not recommend ever taking your car to his workshop as the way he treats prospective customers is absolutely disgusting. I would hate to think how he treats real paying customers. Finally, all I can say is thank god for SAU and Nissan FAST! I really dodged a bullet with this one.

Just to clarify, I am not taking out a loan to pay for the car. Its the current owner who has finance on the car. -

Aha, that makes sense. So i need to actually pay the finance company the amount remaining on the loan + the difference to the person selling the car? I will ask him for all the documents and paperwork regarding the loan. Cheers for the advice. -
Hi Guys, I am about to buy an R33 GTR, the car is on finance with the current owner and I want to make sure that I don't inherit the debt upon purchasing the car. I am sure someone here would be able to share some experiences and the best way to safeguard from this? Any help would be appreciated. Cheers.

He is advertising it as a 1996 GTR VSpec, does the FAST result say its an 1995 October build? Also, does KLO, mean grey colour?
-
Hey babyskyline, Thanks mate, I promise this is the last one I ask you for Its a White 1996 R33 GTR, Non V-Spec. VIN: 6U900BCNR33023950 Engine No: RB26060767A Hopefully this all matches up! Cheers mate.
-
Yep he said his name is Jim from OH Performance!!! I feel like a fool for not seeing this earlier now.. thanks everyone you all saved me a shit load of money and problems. Its funny because after i confronted him about all the problems and that the VIN didn't match the advertised year he was selling it for he didn't seem so keen to meet up anymore. God only knows whats wrong with the car, maybe a rebirth, front end crash - either way i am staying away with a 20 ft pole.

again, could someone also please fast the below for me? VIN No 6u900bcnr33009069 Engine No RB26057219A

Guys, Justin's GTR looks fine, its just that my previous GTR was about 250kw at the wheels and was slightly more modified than his - therefore I would like a car which is comparable to my last if not faster. I think that you guys are being way too harsh regarding the purple GTR, although i do see your point and appreciate the input. I think the owner is just misinformed rather than being dodgey, but thats just my opinion. I am trying to tee up an meeting with him, but he hasnt got back to me yet.. p.s I tried calling Justin and he doesn't pick up his phone anyway. I am looking to pick up a new GTR asap, so if anyone has one for sale PM Me.
-
This is great information, thanks. I will confront him with all of the above.
-
Alright, so everyone is saying its not an S Tune, thats fine - its just that he is so adamant that the engine is a S Tune since it has the 'S' on the block number. The engine cover looks standard so I think he is full of BS too, or just misinformed. Whatever the case this is all good info and will help me bargain down the price. I will get the front of the car checked out for previous accidents and he says that he will install the stock steering wheel with airbag. Also it will come with the stock airbox which means it should be defect free. It has heaps of nismo parts but they seem to be just bolt-ons. When I get a definitive result from someone who has FASTED the VIN and Engine No I will print this out and show him as proof.(He is just misinformed I assume). This should help give me some bargaining power during negotiations. p.s at least we know its a genuine V-SPEC and that its colour is a genuine midnight purple.

Sh*t, so was that put nissan FAST? He says it a series II 1996, and it does have a passenger side airbag so i dont understand how it was a 1995 build? Is the engine block possibly still a S Tune though?
