i would get the right one if i were you ,save your self alot of head aches, the cas pick up drive are totally different and unless you want to buy a r34 cas($$$) the exhaust cam won't be of much use to you. If the order is beyond return just less the cams on the forum as they are a very sellable item and order r32/r32 units that will bolt straight in. pete

FS: Trust Twin TD06 20G Turbo Kit

and like sk said i would check water sensor because if it thinks it is still cold it will add a lot of injector duty to run rich (like an automatic choke) i think this might be the first thing to have a look at. pete

your maps basically run the injectors (with small competations for temps etc factored in) and as your revs and load increase you move through the map so if you get high injector duty it's most likely the ecu maps are calling for it to do so .Have you put it on a dyno to see the a/f ratios as by the sounds of it ,it would be getting very rich high in the revs. pete

Well anyone how has a set of these turbos will tell you that gt2560r is stamped on the turbo with the 707160-5 also, and yes the part number on the garret site refers the gt2860r, and no body can exspand why the two numbers dont line up. So for the time beening i'm going to use the numbers stamped on the turbo so people dont get confused and think there not got the real deal. (as when they read the name plate they know which turbo they have ) pete

R33 GTR turbo's vs R32 GTR turbo's
pnblight replied to Godzilla32's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
do not run 1.2 to 1.3 on r34 turbos they go bang to, trust me i know yeah say bye bye to ceramin no matter what model R it is , it will save you money in the end -
the gt2560r = n1 so nissan sold them on the cars off the shop room floorIf anyone can show me specs to prove other wise i'm happy to look at them as all the states i have seen show the 2560r and n1 the same. So there balance between responce and power is excellent and basically identical performance to the 2530hks which has a slight edge over the gtss in outright hp.

12 litres per 100kms general cruising and i'm making 530rwhp at 20psi so if the gtr is tuned well with close loop working the gtr will still be good on fuel consumption for a performance car.
-
the turbos you want are the gt2560r 707160-5 garret ball bearing turbos bolt on replacements contact racespec on this forum the last set i bought were $2400 and these turbos on my lightly tune r33 gtr can support 530rwhp with responce very close to std units if supporting hardware is set up right. I have run a 11.33 1/4 on these and run them for near on two years need i say more. (quote me if you like the best turbo combo money for return hp and responce for a gtr on the market in my opinion) pete

Ecu Ecu Ecu Which One !!!!! ????????
pnblight replied to exXU1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
to compare ants old engine combo to new combo would be a mistake by only the ecu (plus it made the 799rwhp on the wolf) they have gone to the d-jetro now old combo was 2xgt30 turbos on a std 2.6 bottom end i believe new combo is 2x to4z hks turbos 2.8 hks bottom end so there are major differences in the basic engine combo and the hp you refer to was made on the wolf before going to the apexi (and i'm a apexi fan) All ecu will make hp if tuned properly BUT some much it easier then others and will be easier to live with (long live the pfc) -
ok what the conversion for ftlb to newtons as mine made 410ft/lb on 275/35/18 at about 6500rpm is high torque point and hold around 400 for about 2000rpm. And made 529.4rwhp R=324.85mm 6500 = ( T * 4.111 * 1000) / 324.85 ) = 513.6Nm does this sound right pete

Cheers guys thanks for the info It sounds like the main gear set is strong and up to the task BUT the synco's might be the weak link. I might talk to a few gearbox specialists as was once told that synco in the 5 speed std box could be altered to give better shifting and reliability MAYBE they might be able to do something to help the 6 speed aswell. And i have also found no better gearbox oil than redline i run the redline light weight shock proof. pete

The ones i have seen damage motors seem to happen up high load (high rpm spool)and the wheel more explodes into tiny pieces and ceramic dust, and if you stop and think how much velocity would this ceramic pieces have coming off the wheel doing how many thousand rpm? And i at first didnt think it would but seen to many know to dont it. The pieces damage valves and rings and even bounce around in between the piston and head for a bit, not pretty.Plus the ceramic dust is so abrasive. I'm just glad mine let go at about 2000rpm on cold motor idling of from the stop lights in the morning on the way to work (tho i didnt think myself lucky at the time tho) found the wheel mostly intact in the exhaust.

Hi Mark, How did you find your 6 speed getrag box as i'm not really in this hp level only running mid 500's rwhp and looking at other opinion from the std r33 box. Got Aaron coming to bunbury to some tuning at Adrenline performance will be interesting to see him in action as it seems his worked on some very impressive equipment including your gtr i believe yeah. He had told me you guys had a good run out of the getrag 6 speed while running the R34. And his even put us on to the CP piston range that you guys run (looks like nice gear) hoping will be picking up a set on the wkd for RB26 for a rebuild i'm doing. pete
