  1. nah the std blow off valve are great units Sydneykid talked of 1000hp supra in the usa having blow valve problems ended up trying gtr std units and found them the best on recomendation from SK if my memory serves me right.

  5. be so carefull with std r32 turbos as there are a time bomb and tho the hp you make will not damage the motor if the ceramic wheel let go under full noise you could very well be needing a full motor rebuild as they tend to through bit of ceramic back into the engine damaging valve and rings etc etc I AM NOT JOKING HERE replace the std turbos ASAP i would put this upgrade before all overs. ps i have seen three motor damaged like this in the last 18-20 months
  6. Gtrken from Hyperdrive got a r32 gtr i believe is for sale with some nice aftermarket goods on it.

  8. yes i believe they ran the r34 pretty hard for awhile then got to a point where they transferred the motor to the r32 as they didnt want to cut a r34 gtr vspec to go drag racing. And do you know what broke in the getrag etc and at what hp level he was running. cheers pete
  9. yes on cold start you can run over 60psi Yes the cartridge one is fine BUT we went to a smaller cartridge resistor (garret part) and it was all tested on a test bench to unsure there was adique oil flow. And was the result of talking direct to Garret themselves and they supplied the parts. So this wasn't a charge i took lightly but it should give the turbos a longer life spand and stop any seal blow by. pete

I know this box isn't in the same league but has anyone seen a 6 speed getrag break as was talk to the tuner of markr34gtr cars and his opinion was they were a pretty good box there not running it now in the 9sec drag car but they used and abused it for sometime with no problems. It just i'm considering going this way as my requirement arn't at suggest a high hp level and it seems the getrag is strong than the std 5 speed. pete ps anyone wants to unload a getrag let me know cheers
  11. yes they do BUT garret australia recently told me that the bb turbo is only surpose to see 60psi oil pressure and on cold starts and n1 pumps etc that mark is well and truely over shoot ,the answer is the resistor can be replaced with a smaller unit (std garret part) to protected the seals from to much supply pressure, and unwanted blow by. pete ps this is why i wanted to know what type of turbo you are running as bb turbos dont require nearly as much oil flow as a plan bearing unit.
  12. what type of turbo are you running? what sort of oil pressure levels are you reaching? can you determine where the oil is coming from (is it possible compressor seal blow by) if so there are some relatively easy fix pete [email protected]
  13. Ha Blitz everyone uses the arp vg30 items the only difference is the vg30 bolts are 2mm longer thread, i had a set sent to my door in wa for $99
  14. what you say we just f..k the fuel off altogether and go big boost and water injection COLD FUSION baby thats got to be good for 400kw and we just write the physic books while we at it bro
  15. havent heard of head bolts breaking BUT heard of cam retailing bolts breaking, nasty which cause a cam to break in half i think you cam picture the rest.(ps had high lift hks cams 10.2mm i think)

  17. have you concidered it will take more than just a motor to run a 10 ie gearbox (at this level becomes an issue) you'll need some nice tyres and a suspension setup to suit I can only think of one guy that ran a 10 regularly, wreckhead and his making 450awkw and had to run gas to do so ,he also had a customised box and i believe it was a similar turbo setup, but to the best of my knowledge quiet a bit of time went into to this car and money. ps if this guy has the money why not do it properly the first time
  18. SK would you be able to maybe do a small drawing or pics of the changes you do as i'm very interested in the mods. (i'm like woundering where you take the oil from the back of the head and plumb back to etc) pete do you use the N1 or just the std pump? and is it posible to just buy the higher pressure release spring for the std pump?(as i have asked nissan and they don't less any parts for the pumps) pete
  19. Ha blitz the tomei head gasket resistor is that come in the std tomei head gasket kit as i'm also looking at upgrading internals and pump etc and want to address the oil supply issue to the head at the same time cheers
  20. My god Blitz i didnt realise it was so easy to run a 10 all you need is a big turbo and water and we can all run 10s woohoo(oh yeah and a ceferio_pwa tune as we all tune crap) :rofl::rofl::rofl:
