Quick R32 GT-R Turbo Removal Question
pnblight replied to lwells's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Yeah thats about the only way and my mate richy even ended up buying some cheapish spanners that he then modified to suit. I managed to get away with normal spanners and tools but it's not an easy job and after you figure out the order everything come in and out in it comes easier. pete -

Quick R32 GT-R Turbo Removal Question
pnblight replied to lwells's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i think you will find it easier to loosen the manifold so you can rock the manifold up to clear the studs of the front turbo and it maybe easier to take the manifold off with the turbo. And isnt it a fun job lol think happy thoughts and hope the rest of the work goes smoothly for you. pete -

whats the LM1 A/F Ratio Meter worth and where can you buy them as have been looking for a good a/f ratio meter for tuner for some time -
exxu1, i'm in the same boat as you and have been looking around for the best pistons i can get for a rebuild, and have come down to three braqnds HKS, WISECO and JE. The last two i'm still trying to find a good source to get pricing for but HKS are quiet well price and available. So if anyone knows a good place to buy wiseco and je from i would be very helpfull.

well my std gtr is running 530rwhp on std unit and the nismo has a 125% flow over the std unit i believe. So you'll be hard pressed to run out of fuel. my 2c

GREDDY 135mm Intercooler!!!
pnblight replied to T88 ON BOARD's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
look i'm looking for a cooler but i'm not quiet in the range your asking what would you settle for (i got cash)no f..king around? pete pm if you like -
I know i have seen a thread on here with links to a site with all the nismo turbo specs on it but i just did a search and was unable to find it. It showed the spec to the r32n1/r33n1 and the r34n1(ball bearing) and also had a couple nismo specials in there and the R34N1 was the largest a/r ratio turbo with a 0.60compressor and a 0.64 turbine (same as the 2530). Plus a young kid in buno took a shopping list from my car and bought all the same gear (r34n1) and these are 0.60/0.64 same as mine. I will keep trying to find the thread

I thought these were one in the same BUT i will know for sure when they come off and i will let you know as i am rapped with there around performance and believe these to be one of the best turbos for a street gtr.

I have no idea where there made but buying a Japanese name brand like HKS,TOMEI,TRUST etc gives you a good guaranty of quality as there name rides on it and everything i have seen from them have been premo quality. But if your trying to say that Arias are the same pistons as HKS, cos there made in the USA i think your sadly mistaken. America make some awesome engine components and at the other end of the scale some s..t stuff as well, so where its made doesn't worry me more the quality of it. Again this is only my opinion cheers So r32-gts when is the gtr going to see the track it must be getting dirty in the shed by now
-
have any of you guys look at hks from greenline ~$1390 plus shipping not bad for a very good pistons, as i'm current concidering which piston to buy myself. And i to have seen a few set of arias fail (mainly the rings) and a nasty looking set of cracked veriola's to.

williamsf1 I'm taking my turbos off very soon to fit new stainless manifolds will send you the model number then pete

Yeah nice work troy and good to see it all up and running nicely. It was a nice job Sean and george did on the blue rocket. So the million dollar question what your guess on ET and MPH for DC. Plus it will be good to have a couple of the buno boys at DC.

the two best i have seen going aroud R34 N1 Ball bearing HKS 2530 both about the same size in hp and if i was to try and spell the differences, in my opinion the R34 N1 work better at the lower boost (comes on a little quicker)1.3 to 1.5bar BUT the 2530 has more potental for high boost 1.7bar onwards summary for every day driving is the better option and to go out and out high boost 2530, thats only in my opinion and i am happily run 530rwhp out of my 320hp garrets at 20psi pete

I find this hard to believe this is real but if it is there are a few issue with the system 1000cc injector you going to need new fuel rail N1 fuel regulator i would dont be up to the job twin 3.5" into one 3" wtf (i run 3.5"single for 320hp turbos) a twin 3" might get by N1 cams (why oh why would you skip on cams) N1 oil pump (you cant be seriously going to run a std flow pump with a 1200hp turbo set up) and where is your cooling system 5" thick cooler oil cooler custom sumpcustom radiator etc etc cause if you don't you mos well go burn the money now
-
you must be after big power yes? to need the upgrade , cos if you run decent size injectors and leave the pressure alone the std gtr pump will surport quiet a bit of rwhp (my std pump and filter 700cc injectors and Apexi fc 529.4rwhp 20psi) with no signs of it having a problem holding a very stable 11.9 to 12 a/f ratio just from my experience pete

still chasing diff
-
Gav dont bridge them, you'll lose the clear exhaust pulse signal and lose turbo efficiency .I can show you published documentation if you like. How the big girl going ,on her way to repair i hope pete

Do bleed valves need to be re adjusted?
pnblight replied to Damo's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
you will find it changes through the year ,like the guy said summer to winter etc (cold to hot air basically, humidity etc etc) so 4 months means you most likely set in quiet different evironment than you are driving in now. -
the stock engine if in good shape can make good power reliable 1/wreakhead ~450awkw (10.8sec 1/4mile) 2/rick madsons gtr r33 550rwhp(i have seen it run on a dyno day) 3/mine gtr r33 529.4rwhp so i would only rebuild when it needs it

hi 600hp was just comparing run at the 330 foot only .05sec difference so to say this was a slow launch is a crock of shit(1.7 60 footer is not slow), and its only from this point on that mine start to pick up time and mph on it. At the time it was running 480-490rwhp but the only big difference i can see is the power curve spread (gt-ss seem pretty agressive but done run right out in the higher rpm where the garrets seem to be a bit more linear in power and torque) So great work and hope to see more of this car in the future on the forum Hope to run my car at drag combat should be interesting with another 50hp and new tyres and hopefully we might have a experimental gearbox in for the run.

do a serch there was a thread only a week ago showing gtr pump outputs im running 529rwhp 20psi on std pump with 700cc injectors and apexi pfc
