  1. you can buy z32 afms from REPCO and the like, cheap there a std bosch part and the plug is also std bosch part I would think you could get them around $380-390 ea(with plug)NEW, as i got two cheaper but only cos i know the guy. the rb20/25 afm is an excellent upgrade an better than the z32 up to around 530rwhp ,its only if you are going to go more than 530rwhp would i suggest buying z32 (keep in mind i'm talking for a GTR)
  2. i think you should use larger injectors for this size rwhp and i think a set of cams and adjustable wheels would be required also 90mm afm did you plan to do any work on the bottom end
  3. honestly give a set of federals a go(ss-595 from memory) just trying a set on the R and unbelievable grip ,not sure how long they will last.
  4. i would say rb26 because of the potential the motor has in a std form. twin turbos on gtr motor is the go ,great responce and up to ~500rwhp(450awhp/335awkw) with mild mods
  5. Heel toe has been around for ever basically its only for down shifting and it just to aline the engine rpms to the new selected gear ie to stop engine braking or compression lockup(you do not need to double clutch )as it only alines engine to gearbox (just let the box do its thing ) for eg cruise along in 4 th and if you down shift to 3rd with no rpm change during the shift ,on releasing the clutch the car will engine brake due to the gearbox trying to speed up engine rpms to suit ground speed . this is wot heel toe stops and lets the brakes do the braking (not the engine)
  6. Ha Nizmo is great to see some people willing to have a go themselves even if it is general servicing BUT i have met a guy that thought his ca18 didnt have spark plugs as there was no visible sparkplug leads ( ) ,and to this guy i recomend he never do his own servicing hehehe but each to there own ah
  7. well i'll think most people wont try to run larger turbos without upgrading ecu or atleast trying to compensate for them ,as you could well run into the problem i had with bad air/fuel ratios ,have the car dynoed after install to check a/f and if your a r32 gtr you might be able to remap the ecu. best guess hp=mid 300rwhps(to maybe high 300 if your lucky) boost=1 to 1.2 bar will all depend on your a/f ratios and ability to tune them
  8. Well i travelled from bunbury to use hyperdrive and there in house dyno, and believe the hassel worth while. Can you put a price on good advice and expirence Not a fan of Cypher as have delt with them in the past (and wont be dealling with them in the future) as for dyno, last time they had to use 4mares(or something like that) as they didnt have in house dyno. only my opinion X-speed seemed pretty good but last time there they had no in house dyno either my opinions are from my expirences and dealing only
  9. Hyperdrive the go for a high performance import 1/28 Vale street malaga wa 6090 92093100 Ken Jaffey Glen Campbell
  10. you need to post prices
  11. the only other thing i would take into consideration is even if you get another block you will still have to bore and hone it so the cost will be more than just another block and you might be any better off sleeved block $780 as your quote (this block will have good strength and can be rebored down the road etc) new block $1200-1500(i'm guessing) plus boring and honing $~400 you will be looking at twice the cost at a guess and the block will not be as strong just my opinion cheers
  12. ha just having a look at the fuel map ,seems a did messy to me we spent a lot more time cleaning up off the normal power run path and trying to keep smooth transistion between different sectors only in my opinion tho
  13. Your best bet it to get your rb26 block fully sleeved around $700 to get back to std bore size (ready to bolt new pistons in) and the sleeve material is twice as strong as the block material for the same wall thinkness . Not hard to do and is good for 1000hp plus if dont properly (os giken 3 litre is sleeved rb26 block with a large spacer basically) my mates run a sleeved block in his r32 gtr now and i did alot of engines like this when i was in the industry
  14. lets get back to subject as is an interesting topic
  15. well lets have a look at the car with antennas on the roof and while we are looking up at it ,it still does cut the line of site off to people hipps in ther back ground  me confused if i looked my car from below in front of it i dont think i could see peoples hipps in the background above it ,strange dont you think
  16. well mate you might want to know the turbo your talking about before voice an opinion to say well that just stupid cos hks dont make it or have anything to do with it  and whats with the remote control car signature, cant get pic of a real one
  17. seriously have a look at the kit www.nengun.com got for the 2835's the kits got everything you need with twin external wastegates ,piping the works. great ready to go kit (9sec street car) you go any big it will be no good for anything other than the drag strip. Do you intend on driving this car on the street?
  18. my first guess would be u/s 02 sensor and that why your gas mileage is bad go to sensor check function and see what the v reading is(should be pretty stable) around mmm tring to remember 0.9v at idol (i think) someone else might remember of the top of there head
  19. how about the new gt3071r ,apparently better responce than the gt30 (i had even heard better than the gtrs but only read a couple of thing on them) just an idea
  20. make sure you have the 02 feed back circuit enabled or you will end uo the a hugh fuel bill like a friend of my r34 gtr ,he had tune a number of time but could understand why it used so much fuel ,the tuner had not turn on the o2 control and so it ran purely off the maps
  21. REDLINE LIGHT WEIGHT SHOOKPROOF is a bit $$$ but got a life span of 400,000kms and is the only stuff to use .
  22. no i didnt explain myself properly if i cruise buno to perth i will get ~11-12 litres per 100kms sorry ie like abit over 1/4 tank (maybe 1/3)from buno to perth does that sound about right (last trip back from hyperdrive it did anyway)
  23. yeah no worries ,i hope you know what your getting yourself in for as i got a 529rwhp gtr with baby garret 320hp turbos and it is off its head ,so to build a big bad boy gtr like what we are talking about , well i can only imagine  hehehe
  24. you need to find out if the microtech has closed loop control ability if it does you should check your o2 sensor as it is what the closed loop system runs off closed loop is where the ecu switches from map to o2 sensor after a stable throddle position has been reached(cruising), then basically tunes to a ~14:1a/f ratio while steady throddle position remains. hope that makes sence pete
