  1. hey dude, you should put your mods in the form of a list rather than 1 big paragraph as it makes it harder for potential buyers to read it
  2. there are quite a few twin plates out there that will give you a very light pedal feel to hold 300-350kw quite easily (dont forget that the clutch pedal is vacuum assisted in gtr's so that helps also) i have a OS Giken STR 2CD in my gtr and its very light but still bites very well - its not harsh when cold but if i warm it up it means business - very happy with it
  3. i have an engine stand you can have for 50 bucks
  4. steve is a champ, saved me quite a few times when ive needed parts some times even after hours! great pricing too
  5. so you put the claws of your puller on the edge of the pulley thats broken in the pic? thats like the weakest part of the pulley...... :S edit: nevermind i see where you went wrong after a closer look.. badluck! lol my pulley remover (3 claw type) fits in if i undo the condensor from the top mounts and shift the bottom of it closer to the intercooler so its no longer sitting on the rad support (removing the bonnet catch and a/c fan ofcourse) most annoying part of the job i rekon.. how do you guys take the pulley off without touching the condensor ?? i might try and find a shorter pulley remover lol
  6. damn, id be depressed if i went through as many engines as you have good on you for keeping a positive attitude though! i know some ppl that get depressed if their fuel pump decides to die and that's nothing compared to what your dealing with! just a quick Q, what was your oil pressure like before you pulled the motor down as compared to when it was a fresh engine? ie did u notice a gradual drop in average oil pressure levels between track days?
  7. So very very true
  8. damn that is one nice 33 gtr ! never seen them in that colour
  9. lebo mount
  10. damn dude, that is a substantial hit! here are some pictures of my gtr
  11. a friend of mine made 290rwkw with the blitz 525cc on his rb25 neo, not sure what duty cycle but the tuner didnt mention them being maxed out or anything
  12. sorry, 1 bar exactly with the stock boost solenoid
  13. i was running -7's on my gtr on the stock ecu and stock injectors for quite some time and it was fine, it was tad on the rich side though
  14. id replace them with standard shocks, pass pits (after your sure that theres no other defects on the car ofcourse) then bolt on some coilovers once you pass - dont go to the pits with coilovers if you have the choice sure some people have passed, including me, but i wouldnt risk it again lol ive herd of too many ppl failing because of them lately
  15. hahahahahahha made my night
  16. i actually didnt know that last little fact about the length, cheers
  17. the midnight purple on r33 gtr's is quite cheap compared to the price of mp2 and mp3 on r34 gtrs my painter got a quote for all 3, mp1 was 600 buks for 4L base coat only obviously 900 bucks per L for mp2 and mp3 who knows maybe you can get it cheap via a connection or something but general price to the average joe for mp2 and mp3 is quite high
  18. 5000kms is far too early for coppers! ive done 12,000km on mine (bcpr7es), still like new and never mis fired - I run a heat range 7 though as i dont waant any chance of pre-ignition although a 6 would be better for a daily driven car but eh, better safe than sorry ill change mine at 15,000km even though i know they will go more, just good to keep it routine instead of waiting for a failure
  19. to replace the seals you need to dissassemble the cartridge meaning it will then need to be re-balanced once its put back together
  20. coppers all the way man, do not bother with iridiums - you should have picked up on that if you did read all the threads change them every 2nd or 3rd oil change
  21. <3 lean idle - budget lumpy idle and no1 knows ur cheating
  22. Good read. Thanks for sharing good information! Actually, while on topic i have a quick Question, are there any other engine components such as the rattle from twin plates, rattles from loose bolts, starter motors etc etc that a knock sensor can pick up as false knock? Have you found any common parts/things to bring up false knock ? Reason behind the question is my gtr, everytime i start it up, power fc brings up a knock reading between 20-40 when i start it, hot or cold, clutch in or out but once its idling the knock reading is 1-2. Other cars dont seem to do this?
  23. from my understanding and a few unlucky stories, if the timing belt is too tight it causes that stud that holds the idler to flex and eventually snap seems to be the first thing to go id also stick to a complete neo as its sounds like u need to get her back up and running asap or is it that you werent completely happy with the cars performance when you got it back from its tune?
  24. damn just shy of a megawatt, insane power
  25. Sure isnt! Ordering one a GTX3076 for my friends SR next week but ill be waiting till they are here in aus/wa when i buy my gtx35r
