  1. my gtr does this sometimes if i come off throttle to about 5% throttle, it jerks as if i took my foot of the throttle and re-applied it again but all ive done is go from about 50% throttle to just touching throttling so i can coast - doesnt happen all the time, mainly when cold, maybe once or twice a day, never did it before it got tuned...... havent really bothered to investigate as im changing the setup soon and will by changing from l jetro pfc to a d jetro pfc
  2. penrite 5w50 fully synth in my gtr, love it and the price doesnt hurt the pocket
  3. if i had the dosh id go for toyo proxes, really love those tyres, grip really well too but need all of the funds that i can save for a big single
  4. well im inclined to trust people with personal reviews on an item rather than sum1 whos making money off me very good, i have a full set of nexens on my stock gtr 33 wheels and they werent the smoothest tyre out, they are a pretty hard compound but last forever! anywho cheers again!
  5. any compaints with that tyre at all? smooth at high speeds?
  6. yeah 160 sounded really cheap to me at the time too but i thought id see what else i can find locally as its not like they are running out of stock.. pm'd!
  7. Hey all, Im looking to purchase a new set 245 / 40 / 18's for the gtr. things i need from the tyres: -need to last reasonably long as the gtr is my daily! -not too fussy on grip as the damn thing has too much anyway! -cannot be an excessivly noisy tyre -high speed happy So far my options are; federal 595s 160 each from qld 115 for delivery total of $755 have tried to find these locally but cannot find them cheaper than 255 each these will be going on 10" wheels and will have a slightly stretched nothing hardcore but ive herd that the federals look wierd when stretched or something? also ive been quoted 150 each supplied and fitted by a local dude for the same size tyre but in a brand name called Strata, apparently its the same as nankang just different name? anyone running these atm? to be honest i rather buy locally so if anyone knows where i can get a decent set of tyres for around 150-180 ea mark please let me know cheers oz
  8. you should really put some more time into putting that out into paragraphs mate, very hard to read! check that your airflow meter is still plugged in and operating correctly also check that there are no intercooler pipes that have popped off. also check that there are no cracks anywhere in the intercooler pipes and intake piping etc
  9. oh my.............. that is beautiful 2nd pic has got me in love nice car!
  10. *runs to bunnings and gets super glue*
  11. i looked for diagrams but its not hard to determine wat each wire is with a process of elimination. All you need is a 12V source, easy to find with a multi meter, a ground, again, with multi meter... and the one left over is obviously your signal wire. Z32(6pins but only 4 are connected 2 are grounds) wiring info is below if you need that but i couldnt find rb26(4pins) afm info Wire 1 - Not Connected Wire 2 - Signal Wire 3 - 12v Ground Wire 4 - Signal Ground Wire 5 - 12v Power Wire 6 Not Connected pretty sure signal ground and 12v ground are the same thing but most people use the signal ground as the ground thats apart of the loom and the "12v ground" to the chassis somewhere, i dont think it matters if its joined or seperate.
  12. well...... oil cooler lines dont run near the exhaust manifold, turbo lines do just use that orange stuff with the fibreglass inside it, works wonders for high temp sheilding they come in different sizes to suit braided turbo lines, breather hosing, wiring looms etc ive used that stuff on breather hoses that are actually touching exhaust piping, its been about a year and its no where close to burning through pic: edit: sorry i just realised your still running your twin setup and i also urge you to run the standard metal lines for more reasons than 1 just make sure you use fresh copper washers, the lines have no kinks or have ever been bent what i wrote above applys to topmounts but i guess you could put some sheilding on the steel lines too? haha
  13. i thought rb25 and rb26 afms use the same plug?
  14. Sold pending payment to seriesII

  17. well it made me kinda lol but i dont quite understand how this happend "All of a sudden the nozzle on the can disappeared into the manifold" ?? u mean the whole part which u put ur finger onto or the even smaller part where the fluid comes from? never seen one of those come off :S
  18. lol dont scare the guy
  19. hahahahah that put my morning off to a good start
  20. ohhhhhhhh wow my bad hahaha, how did i mis-read that even after reading it so many times >.<
  21. i just re-read the OP and also noticed your thinking its the cause of idle hunting - i strongly believe a small exaust leak like that (if its even an exhaust leak!) will not cause idle hunting
  22. if its a manifold leak it wont be a hiss.. it will be a ticking noise, it wont sound like a metallic tick but i think the word tick is the best term to use i hate trying to describe noises via text haha
  23. hah as if they will ever know..
