what your experiencing is 100% normal wen ur foot is "1%" on throttle as u say, during deceleration, the injectors are spitting out a tiny bit of fuel that isnt fully combusting and makes popping noises in ur exhaust coz its combusting there instead if its still doing it during deceleration, with ur foot fully off the accelerator, ur injectors r leaking tiny drops (possibly from the o-rings or internally) has your fuel economy changed?

Rb25det Gearbox Crunching Into 4th Gear
snozzle replied to Guilt-Toy's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i called nissan, they quoted me on 3 things for the 4th gear syncro Baulk ring 4th $157.60 Syncroniser Hub + keys $249.85 Sleeve $140.00 Front main shaft bearing $177 He also said i need this other bush or bearing or sumthing if im doing the front main shaft bearing for $56.83 i also called up a tranny guy i know and he told me he can swap the 4th gear syncro over relatively easily coz its apart of the input shaft, told me to just strip it down the gearset and bring it down and he will tell me exactly wats wrong, he said it could even be a worn bearing thats causing the syncro to move about etc i hope this helps sumbody, i think ill just end up changing that 4th syncro, coz the rest of my box is perfect -

3rd Gear Transmission Failure
snozzle replied to 33GTRV's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
rb26 boxes have alot more mechanical pressure on them as compared to rb25, u cant compare them in strength by saying you have never broke ur rb25 box before rb26 boxes break alot, especially in 3rd, all u can really do is drive it properly, use quality oil and make sure its clean, minimising metal to metal contact, other than that, its abit of a "im just lucky or im not" situation, especially with the rb26 -
tell me where i can get it for 108 brand new unused ! i will buy this shit in bulk this shit is 199 buks for 3.7L in perth, and its good for 300,000kms apparently but the point is, it lasts a long time you dont throw this shit out.... its not mineral oil, 3000km is as good as new and it works wonders on every box ive used it on u guys should learn a few things before u make fools of yourselves

i enjoyed watching that vid, very good build and i like the setup alot! rb ftw

Car Pulling Left Slightly
snozzle replied to Bomba's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
i have had every car ive owned do this, its normal (to a certain extent ofcourse) dont quote me on this but i have heard time and time again it is purposely meant to drive left if u fall asleep behind the wheel so that you dont hit oncoming traffic on your right kind of makes sense to me but knowing every car that i've owned slightly pulls to the left if i let go of the steering wheel hints to me that its a deliberate thing by design even tho all of them have been wheel aligned atleast once whilst in my possesion and all specs were what they are meant to be i have been told that a adjustable caster rod setup can override this, thats as far as my knowledge goes with this matter gl -
