  1. Better, easier, sort of same difference. Anyway, it's a lot easier to buy a Wolf, Microtech, etc, plug it in, install the supplied software and away you go. Getting the right tools to interrogate a standard box, chipped or unchipped, is not easy. Also, not that a dyno showed it, nor could it be heard, but the Mines was leaning out so much at high revs that it was detonating very badly. The result was one valve gone and piston number 6 lost it's side. Anyway, I now have the following ready to screw together: Nismo N1 block (brand new from Japan) Wiseco Forged Pistons Shotpeened standard rods 3 layer 1.6mm metal head gasket New valves (cant remember the brand atm but not bloody cheap) Machined and ported head HKS adjustable cam gears Wolf 3D (already installed yet not had a real proper run due to piston) Still to come: New cams and turbos. Next will be uprgraded cooler.
  2. It may but don't mess around, ditch the Mines and get something like a plug in Wolf 3D, that's what I ended up doing. Far better tuning options then.
  3. WOW! Apparently, mine is only going to be AU$1200 to $1300, but that's a special price from the supplier as he is mates with my mechanic and is keen to see how my rebuild turns out.
  4. How much is very expensive? I have one ordered with my Nismo N1 block.
  5. I've done a bit of looking around this morning but can't find what I am looking for. Basically, I was wondering if it's possible to get a pre-made extension to make the ECU loom longer. I want to mount it in the glovebox (or at least, I want to move it from where it is as the Wolf wont sit behind the kick panel. Thanks in advance
  6. As above, simply take out either front seat and the strip and kick panel and the carpet will simply lift up with the little white strip it's attached to. I did this only last night as I stripped most of my GTR's interior.
  7. These guys would know all the drift dates so I'd say they have the Calder dates.
  8. 3rd Morwell Drift day - 15th January 2005 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Mates of mine have held 2 so far and their 3rd drift day will be Saturday the 15th of Jan 2005. Morwell is around 90 mins to 2 hrs from Melbourne and we had great city patronage last time so it's a nice cruise and a great day out. Drivers wanting to participate will need to get in early this time. A $70 entry fee applies plus $25 club membership if you haven't entered before. Registration is necessary. Spectators $5 a pop. Pies, hot dogs, drinks, etc available. One of the organisers, Mark, came 3rd at the recent Calder meet in his R33 so there will be some great drifting being put on. Contact Chelsea on 0409337343 or Ross on 0409809143 for details and registration. You can also PM me. Thanks
  9. Glad you had a great day and thanks for the advice! I have now, as Bec suggested, stuck this same post in the Vic section so maybe head there for further info and replies. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=58585

  11. First off, the cons: Falcodore owners that honestly think they have any sort of chance of beating you piece of jap Crap. Poor souls. Costs, especially by the time you rebuild an RB26DETT. I've spent 9 grand on my rebuild and I get most of the labour for free! Insurance companies and cops. Ity's an import, it has to be bad. The local lads driving in and out of your court (or street) for a glimpse of this exotic beast. Pros: Driving around in the greatest car ever made. The feeling of a long winding road on a quiet Sunday arvo. Owning a piece of motoring history (a feeling the Falcodore owners will never know) Being held back in the seat. Having hot GTS-T owners envy you coz yours is a Godzilla
  12. Yeah, comparing mine to the pics I was sent i was beginning to think they looked a lot wider. Thanks for the reply anyway
  13. I know the headlights are different but I can get some indicators (my GTR has one that is cracked) from a GTS-T. Will they go in. It looks like they will. Any help appreciated. I will also do some research for myself but in this case, I need to let the seller know in a hurry. I have 3 mates with R32 GTS-T's that live within 15 mins of me but they are all at Calder this weekend wrecking their cars at the drift meet.
  14. So I'm not the only one that bitches about this. I know idiots that drive around my town absolutely shit faced and they all tell me you never get pulled over if you don't go over the speed limit. I watch some of the dumbest and dangerous driving happen right in front of cops and they aren't even looking. Failure to indicate, failure to give way, in wrong lanes at roundabouts, etc. But if they aren't speeding, they know they believe they are the worlds safest driver because this is what the so called road safety campaign has tought them to believe. I pass on average 6 to 10 speed traps a day yet I honestly can't remember the last time I was breath tested. Ban low performance drivers, not high performance cars. Anyway, it's all too late for this tragic event. I hope the friends and families of the victims can learn to get on with their lives as something like this often means years of heartache for them.
  15. Well, he keeps changing the username so we'll never find out if they get him or not.
  16. LOL, they are on to it now, that link leads to the old "Invalid Item" page on ebay. Pitty we'll never get the chance to show him what we think. :Bang:
  17. Basically that he could do just that. I'm sure the cops, ebay and the mebers of this forum would love to meet them. I would cut and paste it but my girlfriend has deleted it and it probably wasn't quite as polite as that
  18. Hehe, he's threatened me with his laywers. I said "Bring it on buddy!" :whackit:
  19. It's in the Western Districts. Anyway, what's it matter, this car isn't anywhere near there.
  20. We should get as many as we can email all these scammers, I bet there's more than one involved. I've emailed the one in my link above calling him all sorts of scum!
  21. I hope this is someone here having a joke or it's just getting out of hand! http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...2488362110&rd=1
  22. I think a few of us must of sent in as I only got the generic reply.
