I bought a Blitz LM the other day, uses a similar design to the ARC where the cooler piping plumbs into the existing pipes, don't have to dice up anything. Can't remember what the dimensions are, probably a little bigger than the ARC one your looking at. If your just tossing up between the two you may as well save a few pennys and pick up the second hand ARC - good design, good quality, good price - my two cents.

What style AME's are your wheels, they look fat. Nice ride mate.

Hey guys, Just curious as to how strong and durable the standard tiptronic auto is? Although my car is at this is stage only very lightly modified I am planning on doing alot more... goal is somewhere in the realms of 250kw at the rears. Are there any upgrades you can do to strengthen it? Any idea how much it might cost? Any help would be appreciated. (And yes I now realize that this post would have been more appropriate in the transmission section, its late.. my bad...) Ta, Jizm

There are so many different opinions on all of the mentioned exhausts and its hard to tell from youtube vids because there are so many different variables that all the cars have that which change the exhaust note. I haven't shopped around too much yet, but from what I've seen not many of the exhausts have a kit available for 4 door 34's which limits my choices a bit. To summarize what has been discussed so far... Trust PE2 - a little bit too quite for people's liking HKS Silent - not too quiet, not a bad note when your pinning it Kakimoto - N1 sounds like a monster with a 6" or 7" tip - so probably bit too loud for what I'm looking for Blitz Nur -sounds pretty sweet, but i dont know if it comes with a 4 door kit Apexi - does it come with a 4 door kit? HKS HI-Power - ?? not sure any thoughts

I checked out the Blitz, but my main concern was whether it was available for 4 doors or not which it didnt appear to be. Ill have to check out the Apexi one. Are there any good exhaust manufacturers around Brissy? Would jap gear be better quality? Thanks for your interest guys

Yeah it seems that way... despite some negative opinions I can't see anything HKS being a "bad" product... so i guess ill decide on either the HKS Silent or non Silent. If anyone has either of these fitted please give me some feedback. Ta

Well it seems as though everyone has a very different opinion on the HKS, at least it definately says that it has a 4 door kit lol. How much louder will the non-silent be? Are cops gonna fist me for it? I'm struggling enough as it is in the defect stakes with a atmospheric BOV and an unboxed pod lol

Where are you getting the Kakimoto from? and is it the N1 mega? Cos the websites i have looked at dont list a 4 door version....

Hi all, I'm starting to plan a full exhaust upgrade for my R34 GTT 4 door. I've been looking around a bit and reading up on the forum and I've decided to go with a set-up thats not too loud but has a nice note under acceleration. For the cat-back im thinking either the HKS Hi-Power Silent or Trust Power Extreme 2? These two seem to be quite popular. Whats the best way to pick one up? Since my cars a 4 door will i have to get a 4 door specific kit? For the cat i was just thinking of going with a catco metal cat, seems decent for the price - open to suggestions here though. As for the dump/front pipe I'm not sure what to go with, so if anyone wants to make some suggestions please go ahead. There doesn't seem to be many options available for 34's. I've heard that Batmbl has some good stainless dumps, can anyone confirm? Any help would be much appreciated. Cheers, Justin

Eyelids rolled up on wednesday and I finally got around to painting and fitting them. Here's a few pictures of the results.

Your looking at two fairly different types of cars here. On the one hand you have a rally bred zippy 2L 4 banger with tight ratios and 4 doors (nothing wrong with 4 doors by the way) thats pretty reputable, but hasn't got very far you can go with it performance wise. On the other hand you have a legendary sports car that still competes with most new supercars despite being nearly a decade old (motor magazine)... which has got more top end, more torque, better equipped and more likely to be collectable and has sooooooooo much tuning potential. Besides all the stats match ups... ITS A f**kING GTR!!!!! But realistically, for a 19 year old to own either one makes you a lucky f**ker. best of luck couldnt help but drop in my 2 cents.

I decided to go with a set off carmate they were $109 (which includes postage). They should be in this week. I went down to autobarn with my paint code (which i got from the paint code thread, cheers guys!) and got my colour made up in a spray can. So as soon as they arrive ill get them painted up, fitted and get some happy snaps.

I just used Maguires PlastX on my car, came up awesome!

Yeah ok that sounds like the way to go then. There is a guy on forum who is selling some, might hit him up and worry about that paint myself. Thanks for your help! Ill throw some pics up once i get it all happening!

Hi all, I got a BOV installed in my R34 the other day and i'm noticing it backfiring since its gone in. It's a tiptronic, with pretty much no mods, just the BOV, exhaust tip (gay, it was there when i got it) and a pod. Although i know its a pretty common thing at high rpm, its happening even at about 2500-3500rpm.. Its giving me the shits. Any thoughts? Ta Jizm

That was a good pick up, shame i dont have any mates that head over to japan regularly. If i bought different coloured ones to what i needed (which is red) would it just be a matter of heading down to a nissan dealer and getting them painted or would it be easy to match the colour myself? Cos if its pretty simple i might just get a 2nd hand set from the forum and hopefully save some $$$.
