  2. Only time I dont touch the bar on the ground is after my full sets and then drop to 50% and max out. I do this because an old guy, Otto Acron who I train with sometimes recommended it. Look him up just for interests sake. Ex strong man etc. Guess it worked for him!

  4. Why don't you get your hip flexors relieved if you think it's an issue? It's only remedial massage. Makes me feel sick when getting them done, always improves range of motion though. What sort of footwear do you use? Ive been reading a lot lately that squat shoes help depth when doing an oly style lift (narrow stance)

  8. Yep. I've got one female friend that listened to this, she is also the only one that looks like her efforts have paid off. The ones that choose to do things 'their' way are still wondering why they have got nowhere.

  11. Good article for the people it's aimed at. Pretty much everyone 'new' to it wants to get 'fit' by running on a tready. It's true unless you're an athlete. I know personally that I used to get loss of breath on the court @around 7 mins Also could only run 3km with fast walking (resting)prob 5-700m of that. 3 months of lifting only was enough to stay 40min on court and not feel the need to sub off. Same 3km was easy. Edit: social roster bball, no practice.

  18. Same friend got 'you look manly' Her reply 'Thankyou' He stated it wasn't a compliment Her reply 'it is if I take it as one' He proceeded to do curls and stare at himself in the mirrors after each one. Muscle tone is way better than skinny fat.
  19. There's quite a few different variations of the workouts. I like to be in the gym as little as possible though so I enjoy it. ~3hrs a week and still gain.
  20. I know. I'm just trolling. I'm sure if he was going to spend 10k+ on that he wouldnt be too worried about his manifolds.
  21. Ripptoe is boss for techniques. Look into wendlers 531 program for strength gains. It doesn't seem like much, but after 6 months and you're still gaining its rewarding. If you look for 20kg gains in a month you'll probably end up at the same place, lifting same sort of weights with no progress. Consistency is key imo.
  22. Yep. And people look at the number on the scales and judge. Body recomp is the best. But like said, people just don't have the right knowledge about it due to the perception of heavy weight = steroided body builder woman. Have a female friend that has lost 2 sizes and gained 6kg. Heavy weight sessions only, 3 months. Scales are a number. It's gotta be sustainable as well. Eating lettuce isn't going to last long for most.
