  1. cam covers yes, cams no. most heads are assembled then put onto a block and torqued down? so i dont see as to why the cams would need to be removed
  2. thats right, for that power goal, the extra couple hundred shouldnt be a big cost
  3. thats right, so a new, never fitted manifold minus the wait, close enough to brand new and youre saving $300
  4. if youre only aiming for that why not just leave the RB26 in it? and what the other guys are saying also, a 25 head is a backwards step for a GTR and seems pointless
  5. wont go that low for the manifold, its brand new, never been used
  6. oh shit yeah, i was just giving a minimum. if you had a 3.2 the torque would break most gearboxes, so a OS gearset would be a requirement at least... probably straight to a PPG or something though. fuel system, etc etc etc....any engine like that amounts to thousands of unseen dollars
  7. i know for a fact, from sump to head studs, including head gasket, oil pump, all machining, balancer, everything just needs a head bolted on. assembled its around 15k for the nitto a decent head is 5-10k, you would need a heavy breathing head to make any decent power, a turbo for response and power on a 3.2 would probably be a GTX42? so theres 3500 1300 for manifold 800 for gate its a 30k affair for it to be done properly
  8. around 15k for a bullet proof 1600hp, 12000rpm nitto 3.2 bottom end ready for a head to be put on, id be allowing another 7-10k for a head to be built up to allow flow to get the most out of it. nearly got a 3.2 myself but something else came up. the main advantage of the 3.2 nitto to the 3.4 spool is the full counter crank. beter harmonics, but if youre just building one to rev to stock ~7500rpm, shouldnt have a problem by parts they listed do you mean the turbo and headwork etc.?
  9. yeah, just buy a decent pump and a warning, in a built engine with crankcollar, and nitto/jap pump they can handle 9000rpm+ launchs without breaking. seems more of a waste of effort and money to do it with a standard pump. get the accumulator, but like mentioned in the other thread and on the site, those setups are for big hp and serious race cars
  10. been discussed many times, time and effort of paying someone to do it, you could have some forged items
  11. thats what i was thinking, because of the position they may be in
  12. yeah im with this, if you need something large to get the oil round in the first place, i dont think a small 12v pump would help much, be better off with a good oil pump (nitto or jap brands), or external wet setup. Would be better off to use a pressure switch for an engine cut, by time the small pump kicks in the damage would be done
  13. you'd want to tap into the sump wouldnt you? because there wouldnt be any oil in the pump until the car is cranked/running?
  14. .82 single will be fine on a 3.2, no need for the divided turbo when youve got more cc
  15. have a search and a read in the RB30 coversion thread i dont know who youve been talking to, but its not a straight bolt on affair. it is after a few modifications and can be very expensive depending on your goal. as can any build
