  1. It does have a adjustable acuator, but the thread was a little rusted and the nut was pretty locked Shaun just ended up using a pry bar and gave the plate which holds the acuator a bit of a tweak to pre-load the spring a bit more It didn't need much to get that result. Comes on pretty hard now
  2. Last nights tuning went quite well got the response back it was lacking after last weeks tuning We adjusted the acuator on the turbo to try and bring it on faster and hold boost up top It worked quite well, I photoshoped my last dyno as best I could (forgot to get print-out, as it was almost 7.40 and Shaun wanted to go home!) Picked up about 40rwkw at 100km/h and a fair whack of torque to boot Feels quite quick on the road now, lots of response! Still need a bigger turbo, I'd swap all that mid-range for some top end! Would make a crazy drift setup now, comes on quite hard With the acuator adjsuted, boost was a bit spiky, saw 1.7bar in 3rd this morning, so I had to adjust it down a little, as it was a bit erractic between 2nd, 3rd and 4th. Did get compressor surge at this boost, so it must be at its limit at 1.3/1.4 bar Not bad for a 300PS rated turbo! The dyno reminded me allot of a RB25 power curve This dyno attached is approx what was achieved last night, when I get the printout, I will scan it and post it up Chris
  3. Anyone got any dyno sheets of a 2535 on a stock RB20?
  4. Yeah, I want to just pick up the last 2500rpm on mine thats all so a slightly larger turbo might be the way to do it Rememeber, Japs use differant fuel to us, fair bit higher octane, so I'm sure if your car was running 101 or 103 RON fuel (whatever they use) you could get to 220rwkw at 14psi just by adding more timing I'd be running it at least 20psi if I had a 2530, it would come on nice and quick, and be able to hold a decent amount of boost up top
  5. Excellent! Just what I wanted to see! As mine is tapering off (140ish), yours is still going up. My turbo is smaller, as it makes a bit more down low and earlier, but yours pulls away up top Does your car still feel like its pulling hard right up to 7500rpm?
  6. Here you go mate, have a look at this page DBA_Skyline_info.pdf
  7. I had high idle issues a while back, cause of mine was the rear fuel pressure regulator vacum hose had come of. Replaced the hose and problem fixed Cutting/hesitation - I'd be looking at fuel pump/fuel supply, which the above might also apply Chris
  8. Ideally these are the numbers I'd be chasing
  9. What power does yours make mate? Any dyno sheets?
  10. I used some sort of sealing compound made by Loctite, sold to me at the place where I got all my -dash fittings from. Said to use it sparigly on both surfaces He said don't use plumbers tape, thats for garden taps not engines and can cause problems http://www.loctite.com.au/int_henkel/locti...eid=19&layout=3
  11. Getting re-tuned tomorrow, as that tune is quite lean. Going for more timing and fuel. I want to see at least 200rwkw, maybe a bit more if possible Might try it at 1.2bar and see if that helps with a bit of top end. The mid-range on the road is lots of fun though Quite a few people keen on my turbo! Lots of PM's!
  12. Boost does nose over after peak power, down to about 16psi Exhaust is no restriction, 3.5" dump, no mufflers or cat execpt for the rear can I think air out is the main issue, exhaust housing causing restriction Its only rated at 300PS!
  13. How do you attach a picture to your signature anyway?
  14. Bit too big I think, but i like the look of them Really need 17x7/8 front and 17x9 rear, offset to suit R32 GTSt Do they come in that size/offset?
  15. Got any pics?
  16. Funny, as I just got of the phone with Shaun He tuned to the knock light this time, which is why he took a fair bit of timing out of it - hence why its feels flat now! Last time he turned it of, as it was faulty I thought i'd made some progress in that area with the lag timing etc, and turned it back on. I think it did help in regards to acutal knock, but the light/sensor is still playing up! Bastard! Well, booked in for thursday arvo, will be tuned ignoring the dodgy sensor and see where it ends up Ignoring the knock light from now on, will eventually get to the bottom of that problem. What about yours, is it still playing up? Will be going a bit richer again and a bit more timing to keep the response up. Nothing worse than a laggy feeling car with not enough top end due to smallish turbo!
  17. Ok mate no probs, will catch up with you then Did you get a call about your exhaust manifold?
  18. Good to hear, I am looking forward to getting them now!
  19. Yeah, 2510 is the smallest of the HKS range, well it was before they stopped making it! I want a genuine 220rwkw, as I rekcon that where some good numbers lie both at the drags and around Mallala. I want a low 13sec car, and something I can lap Mallala in around 1.25 I'd be happy with that. I just want to be able to use the revs, as at the moment it feels like it dies in the ass after about 5500rpm, as you can see on the dyno sheet What would you want for your turbo? It would be interesting to see what it makes on a RB20!
  20. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=91502 my latest dyno with my 2510 on my RB20
  21. What do you guys reckon Is my turbo out of puff or something else not right? AFR's where 11.5 going to 12.1 up top HKS GT2510 as far as I know My tuner reckons that about it for that turbo, I agree. I thought about cams, but he said if the turbo is just too small, it will make the problem worse, as the engine will be more efficient, but the turbo won't be able to keep up Thanks, Chris
  22. Shaun tuned it at Boostworx my fault, as i'd been playing with the fuel map and made it quite rich! So i asked for fuel to be taken out, and thats what I got! It did make more peak power everywhere in 4th, but in 1st, 2nd and 3rd it felt flat because fuel was taken out in some of the load area's Already spoken to Shaun about it, going to get it back in on thursday and fix it up. In all fairness it was done in a rush on friday night after work, it was just supposed to be a tidy up! but had to redo allot of it!
  23. Yeah, some of those look awesome! these ones would be perfect! -http://page.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/79950466 He wouldn't trade a set of 16x7.5" P1's and a set of 17x7 17x9 Sparco's + cash would he? I'd love these rims, they are exactly what I am after!
  24. Thanks mate, I will get in touch with him and see what he can do
