  1. That age old saying in drag racing - the fastest car is owned by the person with the deepest pockets! and rightly so, beacuse its those cars we are enjoy reading about and seeing fly down the 1/4. If you want to race and compete on a budget, go race Dial Your Own category, its that simlpe Chris
  2. Yeah, I am in pretty well the same boat I have been quoted $242ea for adjustable Bilstiens, and without checking, hopefully I can use the springs of the Quantums either way its going to be a bit of a pain in the ass. The way I look at it, is if one has gone, the others must be close, so it might pay for me to get brand new Bilstiens, which are fully re-buildable
  3. I have one, awaiting to be fitted Freebaggin put one on his R33, and with a bit of a re-tune went from 265rwkw to 280rwkw They are good quality, and the guy selling those ones on ebay is great to deal with Chris
  4. well so far I have contacted these people - www.shockreco.com.au - and I am awaiting a reply. I have also spoken to the guy I got them off, and he is lending me a let of shocks and getting in touch with a place in Melbourne about rebuilding it Has yours gone a bit clunky as well? I think becasue the oil has come out, the piston is moving about a bit. Hopefully they can be repaired, as they are awesome I like how hard they are, as with 225x16 on 16x7.5 rims, it makes up for a bit of sidewall flex and makes them grip really well
  5. I have sent them a email, hopefully they will be able to help me out Bloody council, I wish they would fill in there pot holes, as I am sure it was the casue of it
  6. seems pretty good, did it take long to do? What was wrong with your shocks? Where they leaking, or just got them re-valved
  7. Hi, I have a set of Quantum coilovers in my car, and the left rear shock is leaking oil and in need of a rebuild. So far I have spoken to two people, one said he knows a place in melbourne who can rebuild them, the other said that for the cost involved in rebuilding them, he can do me a rear set of Bilstiens and have them vavled correctly Whats the go with rebuilding coilovers? Has anyone had it done succesfully? Chris
  8. sorry to dig this thread up, I have a set of these on my 32GTSt, the left rear shocks has just blown a seal. Does anyone know where or who can rebuild them? Chris
  9. whatisname does.............
  10. Sorry, looks like I am keeping it for the time being, Chris
  11. Entry restircted to car made after 1980, and must be fuel injected Must be 'able' to be driven to and from track No NOS DOT approved tyres use original of variant of original drivetrain (ie original suspension/diff mounting points etc) have two front seats of any type, mounted in origianl position open to weight reduction original fuel tank location to be retained, but use of secondary tank ok, as long as the fuel is drawn from the original tank original glass to be retained - no plastic replacements all I can think of ATM, will update if I think of anything else Chris
  12. yeah, maybe it has just plain old worn out?? All the hoses where tight? Are you running the standard fuel pressure reg.? Maybe check the fuel pressure with a accurate gauge and see if its starting to fail
  13. Roy - I installed a 040 in mine almost 18 months ago, and mine made that sucking air noise. I ended up re-directing the fuel return line, as it seemed with the bigger pump, it was casuing cavitation around the pump pick-up, as the fuel return line squirts right next to the pump. I used a small piece of fuel line, and a aditional hose clamp and directed it away from the fuel pump pick-up. Problem fixed, and it stopped sucking air I have also spoken to a few workshops about this, and they recommend doing similar. Mine was installed prior to a track day, and performed without any problems, and had done about 50,000km since I'd say if the pump has sucked alot of air, it may have over heated and damaged a bush/bearing?? Might be worth a shot re-directing the return line like I did, it worked for me Chris
  14. exhaust noise = power mine is 3", race cat and only the rear N1 muffler, almost completley straight through - its reasonably loud, but I love the sound of it, especially under a bridge or through a tunnel. It had the centre muffler section, but this was removed due to clearence issues getting into my car park at work. Clint32 replaced the centre muffler section with straight through 3" and tucked the exhuast closer to the chassis Been through bretho's etc, and under idle its reasonably quiet, no cops have ever looked twice at it. I'd say it would be very close to, or over the legal limit. Sets car alarms off in car parks sometimes I'd say if you can put up with it, stick with the 3", and maybe get a resonator put in near the diff/cradle, as that will knock a few Db from it I am thinking of putting the centre muffler back in, on long drives it can get a bit loud, so might whack it back in. Try a resonator, you might loose a few rwkw, but thats the trade off for a bit quieter exhaust Chris
  15. need one ASAP, as my car is leaking! If anyone has one, regardless of price, please let me know Chris
  16. No probs, I understand, and there is no rush at all. Cheers for setting this up Pete, been a great help, so no rush, whenever it gets here it gets here, Regards, Chris

  18. good value, as I have all the ones listed above and I reckon thats a fair price for all of them Good luck with the sale Chris
  19. can I have a few pics of the oil cooler Chris
  20. as stated, need to get hold of a drivers side door/window seal, that is un-damaged not ripped etc. Will pay up to $35, or $50 for a pair in good condition Regards, Chris
  21. Went through and compared the two pi-out diagrams, the only differance I can see that would be critical is pin 112 on R32 is inj. #4, on R33 is inj. #6 and pin 114 on R32 is inj. #6 ans on R33 is inj. #4 Unless this was a typo if course.......??? Pin 104 on R32 is for Fuel Pump voltage - on the R33 diagram it has a ? Pin 54 on R32 is Throttle valve switch - on R33 is not connected 56 amd 57 are a bit of a question mark, as its not sure what it is on R33? So would this in theroy, work if programmed to suit differant injectors?
  22. Roy, so you are planning to use a R33 PFC and plug it into your R32?
  23. Hmmm, I have never bothered removing the mesh, I figure that Nissan put it there for a reason, so it can stay there for now I think Steve had trouble with idle, and put the mesh back and it sorted itself out
