MADGT4 - I have already got a set of awesome coilovers, so thats why I'm selling these - but if you want to sell your Tiens and grab these you are more than welcome - pretty flexible on the price as well, as long as I can sell them Grepin - as you know, I have pretty well given up on catching you and Freebaggies on the quest for power - now I am going to set it up for even better handling, so maybe I can take the points in a few battles yet!! I'm gonna drop by Clints in the morning to check out your stuff as well, talk to you then -
Near new set of adjustable castor rods, using the stock castor rod and with brand new adjustable bushes with offset centre to allow for adjustment of castor Selling due to upgrading to solid castor rods with greater adjustment, other wise these are in perfect condition $150 ono, and I will pay for shipping within Australia

R32 GTST Apex'i Springs and Shocks
Chris32 replied to Chris32's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
I'll PM you some pics, hopefully in the next day or so, as I have picked my shocks up last night and might even put them on this weekend As Clint says, they are in great condition - I'd be keeping them if I didn't have a chance to upgrade to full coil overs -
Apex'i shocks and springs, with adjustable dampening. These sit about a 1 1/2 inches lower than stock, just enough to give awesome handling, and not low enough for cops to look twice at you Selling due to full coil over upgrade, other wise I'd keep them, they are awesome Asking around $700, but all offers considered - prefer Adelaide buyer, but don't mind sending them if you want to pay freight No pics, as they are still on the car - but I will take some and post them ASAP

Cool, for 65 bucks I'd rather get them to do it, I can see myself making a huge mess just to save $65!! Best to let the pro's do it Put me down for sure, sounds really good Good work getting this going!!
-
Sounds good, so thats for both front windows, rear window and the two smaller ones behind the front windows? Did that guy mention anyhting about how much it cost to take old tint off, as I have shitty tint on the rear window and the two smaller windows that needs to be removed How hard is the old stuff to get off?? Will a couple of hours of attacking it with a stanley knife blade and some solvent get it off?
-
I'd be keen for sure, but I'd also need the shitty tint removed from my rear window first I only need the two front windows and the rear window done, those two smaller ones at the back already appear to be tinted

Best street semi slick tyre
Chris32 replied to Clint32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
25,000 - honestly, I reckon you'd be stretching it to get 15,000 out of them, but I guess it all depends on how good you keep a check on your wheel alignment and stuff. They can't be swapped from side to side either, so I reckon RE540S might last a little longer on becasue you can swap them from side to side. I've clocked almost 1,500km on them so far (almost 3weeks!!!) and they are nicely scrubbed in now. I have got the stock rims and tyres that will be going on after this weekend for daily driving, just becasue I want to save the good tyres for summer If you are after a good all round tyre, i'd go for S03's, they are terrific, and you 'should' get around 25-30,000 out of them, and they are awesome in the wet -
Yeah mate, a big sump will be a good idea - especially once the truck turbo goes on and the pistons have no ring lands left on them - you'll be burning more oil than fuel!!!!! Thats where the extra capacity will come in handy!!! Nah seriously though, not a bad thing to get, and maybe a oil cooler as well. Did you contact the place in Victoria?

Best street semi slick tyre
Chris32 replied to Clint32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah, I reckon if you fitted 265 R series, they'd proabably foul the guards Yep, they are amazingly grippy compared to'normal' road tyres, although the Azenis I had weren't anyhting special until they were very warm, but I guess they were no worse than a normal tyre when cold -
Best street semi slick tyre
Chris32 replied to Clint32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yeah, your right, but they are much wider across the tread than a equivalent road tyre. For instance, I have 235x45x17 S03's on the front, and the RE55S are much wider in contact patch than teh S03's. Just remeber, that if your car is slammed and your current road tyres are very close to the gurards, then R series tyres in the same width (ie 255x40x17 'normal tyres' compared with 244x40x17 R series tyres) will probably foul the guards - make sense? Had Azenis semi-slicks on the front - they are Ok but no where near as good as S03 for everyday, and defiantly miles apart from the RE55S -

Yeah, got them from Laurie - not sure if he'll ship them, phone number can be found on the bridgestone australia website, don't have it handy at the moment One thing, my 235/45 are BIGGER than my previous 255/40/17's, for some reason the R series tyres are always much bigger? -
Which tyres are good ?
Chris32 replied to Yakuza's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
OK I have had the following - all either 235/45/17 or 255/40/17 Goodyear Eagle something - can't remember, cheap, and shit, no grip, but very quiet Falken GRB FK451 - excellent corner grip, not so great off the line, and still gripped well when worn and pretty quiet Falken Azenis semi slick - excellent grip when warm, lasted about 6 months, very noisy, not mcuh grip when wet/cold Falken GRB Tune II - cheap, and it showed - not much grip, in corners or straight line, noisy and lasted about 6000km - but for the money not too bad Bridgestone S03 - So far so good, heaps of grip in the dry and wet, really quiet - done about 3000km so far and they still look pretty new. On the front now Bridgestone RE55S - semi slick, heaps of grip - if I can get 10,000km out of them I'll be happy!!, not noisy, good in the wet so far (only 45okms so far!!) No wheelspin in 1st - well priced for what they are, and if you have a bit of grunt, these will get it to the road- so far they are great And yes, my car gets a thrashing, and goes through its fair share of tyres!! GRB FK451's for value - S03 for pure performance Hope that helps -

Chris32 replied to Clint32's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Yep, RE55S are heaps good!! I managed to clock up almost 450km on the weekend, they were so good I just wanted to keep driving!! As good in the wet, if not slightly better than normal road tyres, and once a little warm they grip like crazy in the dry. Only downside is as Freebaggies pointed out, they can't be swapped left to right - but when i questioned them about this, they said by the time they need to be swapped, they will be rooted anyway, so just get new ones!! So far so good, they look pretty mean as well - surprisingly they are a little quieter than my previous tyres, and about 10 times quiter than the Azenis semi slicks I had before. Also, can't get any wheelspin in 1st geat with 200rwkw, unless I dump the clutch at 5000+rpm, even then they hook up pretty well I can see these tyres breaking diffs and gearboxes though, so you have been warned!!! Can't think of a better tyre for street/thrash/track, Chris -
Also, I have 2x 235/45/17 inch tyres sitting in the shed at home, probably about 10/15% tread left Giving away to anyone who wants to give them a smoky send off at the drift day!!! PM me if anyone wants them Chris

Joel, my car is going good, a electronic boost controller has given it a fair whack more of midrange, but haven't had retune as I am deciding on whats next - probably programmable managment MattR - good to hear that it will be back on the road soon!!,

Would be good to get a idea anyhow, maybe if we could get a idea of how many people may be interested, then someone could organize something?
