Cheers for letting me in. Much appreciated. Thought it was you but wasn't sure. Your head turned pretty quick though when you heard the RB.

can anyone confirm or deny this. Roundabouts have only been introduced to roads for twenty or so years. they are not an original idea back from when cars were introduced. reason i ask is, mother got licence from local copper in toowoomba where she grew up who took about five minutes to go, alright, you gotcha licence luv, and she never had to go through any sort of road rules booklet like most of us have had to. had her licence ever since. (that being said, mother does not drive volvo and has never had an accident on a roundabout, unlike son she does however possess common sense) so if true could this be a possible cause for ignorance on correct roundabout usage. hmmm

Hey there, I'll take the pod filter. PM me for a time thats suitable for pick up. And an address of course. Cheers, Mark

I was shocked that it did as I drive that road twice daily but thats human error for you. Familiarity is not always good. A cop once told me that many accidents happen within 2km of home because you're so familiar with the roads you don't pay as much attention. I made a mistake, plain and simple. But the fact that that mistake didn't turn into an accident is the benefit of the skidpan days etc...

Hey guys, I just thought I would ask the question to y'all cause i don't know whether this idea sounds like a big wank or not. I'm going to be selling my 33 in the next month or so and I was thinking about who might be interested in my car and I came to the conclusion that it most probably will be a young guy 18-25. And reading lately about young drivers and inexperience it got me to thinking; Would the inclusion of a driver training day in the sale of my car increase my chances of selling? By driver training day I mean a day out on the LVMA (Large Vehicle Maneuvering Area) running round cones, brake testing etc... and maybe a skidpan session. I was just thinking I could get a gift voucher from the people that run them and include that with the car. Cost maybe 2-3 hundred bucks. I've done a couple of these and apart from having the time of my life I learnt something every time I went out there. And this practical knowledge saved my ass only last week. It was very wet, and I was going round a corner on the crest of a hill and my back end completely swung out. I was able to control the slide and bring it back around whilst slowing down a little then straighten up and not collect oncoming traffic or the gutter. I reckon years ago when I first started driving i would have stomped on the brakes and been a passenger ending up facing the wrong way in oncoming traffic or something. I think we would all agree that we don't want anymore negative press involving skylines and young drivers, let alone anymore fatalities or injuries that could possibly be averted. And if you were a parent with a kid who was looking at buying their first turbo car would you be more at ease if you knew they were going to get some instruction and training in what to do when.... Sorry its so long people, thanks for reading. Any comments would be much appreciated.

You went on sunday I guess. Sorry to hear. its only me. Hired a ute for the day. Damn holden ute chewed through 23 litres of fuel in 110 kms and that was mostly hwy driving.

What are number 2's? I like them.

Mauve. I'm not quite sure what that colour is but it reminds me of cardigans. I haven't made up my mind on what colour my car is so i'll add mauve to the possibilities Oh and HI! Yep same time. It was weird how it was almost at the same lights and everything.

best wishes for today and the year. cheers, Mark

nice colour. I like silver. That clicking noise, pretend its not there. I do and I haven't heard the noise in two years. (its probably still there but I don't notice it) Or go to the general maintenance section and do a search. I'm sure there's a thread in there about how to fix. cheers

Sometime the advice you get is not what you want to hear...... but it's still advice.

social events -non car related. Not all of us are into going into the valley and getting sh!tfaced but I don't think many of us would say no to a pint or so on a nice sunday afternoon somewhere. Or a good dinner somewhere central (I know there's regular chilli nights in loganholme) paintball, laserforce, bowling, ice skating, Or we could try to raise money with a Car Wash (who's got a bikini  ) Oh and don't be scared of track days people.

2 (and a bit) comments contained hereafter: some for original poster, some for responders, just get a sh!ter for a car and get some experience. for a while. I know you've probably been driving for two years and think thats enough and thats a good start but there's something about testosterone that your two years of experience won't accomodate for. I learnt some of my hardest lessons at 19-20 yrs old. Statistics do all sorts of bad things to car enthusiasts and their cause. Don't become a statistic. But to keep specifically on topic get a newer more economical car. (Honda/Corolla as you stated) it will save you money in petty, insurance, services, than a non turbo skyline or 300zx (you know how old they are right?) on a side note, can we get a sticky or something on this sub forum for all the times these dilemmas come up. From reading this forum for a few years now I'm pretty sure that the general consensus (sp) is: GET A SH!TER AND THEN GET INTO HIGHER HP CARS! Please correct me if I have drawn too many conclusions here.

me please. [email protected]

Thank you all very much for your responses. Just sifting through all of it and to summarise; * Go check my struts, then have a look at.... * Subframe bushes * Adjustable camber bushes * pineapples. These would all be desirable to relieve me of my problem. Correct? or should i try step by step rather than BANG all in the one go? ie easier to isolate performance of paticular parts. Whiteline can help with all of these I think, are they the right track to go down? And while i'm screwing with the back of the car would it be worth it to disable HICAS. ( I think there is a member on here selling HICAS lock kits for 100 bucks or something) Thanks again.

Hey guys. Want to say a thank you to alot of you for helpful information found in these pages. Went out to willowbank for the first time tonight and did 9 runs. Happy with the result. Got a best time of 14.4 with a 60' of 2.3 at 99MPH. soooooo, AXLE TRAMP. whats the story. That huge shuddering feeling like things are gonna snap on ya. What can I do to ease it? Basically was dropping clutch from 4g and riding it a little. dropped from 3 it just bogged. dropped it from 5 and wheelspin for a 60' of 2.8 (though had fastest speed of 100 MPH) tyres were shiite falken 205's at 24 psi. got low king springs and bilstein struts. (r33s1) What steps should I try next time I'm going out for runs as far as launch and tyres to get that good 60' and hopefully get into 13's? I'm pretty sure it has the power to achieve these.

Cheers, thats what I wanted to know. Thanks. I thought it would be something like that.
