  1. cool. Very cool. Just a thought, though i don't want to bring the tone of this down, but maybe with a view to moving units etc... what do you think of promo girls? I mean either way, I'm still going to purchase a couple and so will most of us, but to sell it on to other people (lets face it, predominantly guys) would this enhance our marketability? Though then this begs more questions, where do we find the girls, the money for the girls thus increasing the number of units that need to be shifted to break even. I'm not sold on the idea that we need girls, but i told an ex gf about the calender and she asked are we going to have girls to help sell it, so i thought I'd post it up see what you thought. cheers, and thanks to Mud for all the effort he's putting in.
  2. what about an old merc, the diesel ones, from the seventies. Put an rb25det in that. i saw one advertised a few months ago for 500 bucks or something.
  3. what about a blue car?
  4. oh, oops, didn't know that. Sorry, wasn't trying to copy anyone its just the way it turned out.
  5. Yeah, absolutely. Would have been there if not for other commitments. And cheers for the comments guys, I'm not sure about Muds though?? Am i missing something?
  6. Cheers Mick. I really appreciate that. I didn't want anything done with front bar just wheels and wing. Thank you very much. I was beginning to think there was no love in this section. I love the gold colour of the car. thats fantastic. Utes good too, though the ass would be swinging alot more in the pic if it was a ute. I don't think the gold looks all that good on blue. I thought it would. Maybe not those wheels . I'll keep thinking. This is what car looks like now without wing and such. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...showtopic=88791
  7. Ok, so i have been driving around in a less than perfect car for a long time now. I finally have done something about it and taken to opportunity to upgrade as well. Let me know what you think. The damage; somebody reverse parked behind me and scraped the rear bumper. Very impressed that they left a note and paid money the next week for it. There are some good people left in the world. I couldn't drive stick for a week due to leg injury so i borrowed parents auto and they had the line. Mum goes down to supermarket, one with those concrete tyre stoppers. oops! Dad tells me, " yeah i was driving the car and there was this weird scraping sound but then it went away". goodbye front bar! So after a lot of time, i got my act together and booked the car in to Camerons Body works. I decided to also get rid of my coles shopping trolley wing (and fix the rust that had started to creep into the bootlid) and get sideskirts and pods. Got a quote that i was extremely happy with and gave it to him for a week. Got it back yesterday and was very happy with the result. Paint match must have been hard ( i do not have code) but they got pretty close. There was an incident with some inner front wheel well guards not being secured but that was easy to sort out. I would recommend Camerons Body works to anyone out there needing some work. Knowledge is good, communication is good, service is good. The end result. Cheers
  8. If the jetsons owned a car on earth, that would be it!
  9. sorry i never got back to you. I never got around to going down. I am however going down next tuesday, so I'll let you know.
  10. Am considering change in theme for car. Could one of you wizards work your magic and pop these rims on for me please. Am getting new front bar and getting rid of the coles shopping trolley wing in two weeks for a flat drift style wing and thought that gold might suit this look. hrrm whadda ya reckon?
  11. Lots of fun. How much do you want to spend. If you want on the track its at least 4 night minimum stay for at least 2 g's, most likely 4 or so i have found. Alot of the best spots are taken from people who had it the previous year. There was one place i asked to get on a waiting list and they said, don't bother everybody from last year has already placed the $1k deposit to have it next year etc.... the resorts ask for the deposit as they check out on the monday after the race. There are still places just off the track which are practically still in the action and you can find some places that will let you go 3 nights but thats still going to be $700 plus. I'm going down to find out whats available this year this weekend. The best way i have found is to walk the track and just go into a hotel/resort thats on the way. Another is the racq accom. hotline (or something like that) call them and they have some things allocated their way. all the numbers would be on the indy website (whatever that is) if ya want i'll pm what i find. No matter what anyone says you'll be able to find somewhere to stay reasonably close up until the event. I found a place 200 metres from the track with two weeks to spare last year. hope this helps, I love indy. Birds, booze and breasts!!
  12. Happy Birthday Erin. Have a ROARing good time!!
  13. i just can't believe that you would drop out of school to make money so you could buy a hot car. I mean yes, here i am in a car forum with a nice car, but lets be honest, there's more to life than a hot car. sell the car and go back to school i reckon. my $.02
  14. you'll never be happy. motors/motorsport whatever you call it will cost dosh. hope the guy buying your line does not check the boards and see your posts about purchase/sale price.
  15. anyone know the owner of the orange 4dr 32 that was in an accident at the roundabout at newstead, just coming out of the valley. Sunday night. lots a emergency vehicles and a totalled taxi. didn't look like the line had much damage just to the rear right section. wonder what happened?
  16. 94 series 1 33, blue, 17" sparcos, 3 inch zorst, 60k's, sunroof, manual purchased jun 03 @ 22k from dealer
  17. great pics. love the shots of the water coming up behind the cars with sunlight coming through the water. looks awsome. Where did you find the overturned car in the last two pics? was that on the way home?
  18. Daaaamn. Theres some great stuff here. only just found this thread and its taken me 2 days of holidays to read it all. thanks kero. cheers, Mark
  19. i got a thing from my local shop about a crowd called penguin car cleaning. little mobile franchises. from as little as 7.95 for a wash'n'wax to 34.95 for cut or polish. but what kind of a job would you get. seems a bit cheap considering they are coming to me and how long would they spend?? but you never know....
  20. Just found this in my local paper today. This Saturday, along with morgan and wacker from 9am you can go and ask questions to the fuzz about safety issues with your modified performance car. they are there to educate and not book you on the way out if you have any legality questions on your car. They're calling it Doin it legal - talk to the blue. They'll have some mechanics there to answer questions and giveaways entertainment and various displays. Its out the back at the training area behind brookside. It sounds like a good plan to try and get some co-operation between modified car owners and the boys.
  21. When i first moved in to my current house, before we purchased it I did a driveway test for the car. I when straight in and scraped the hell outta the front bar and cracked it. then reversing out i got so stuck. the back tyres were smoking so much the neighbour came over and had a good laugh at me but eventually with four people pushing the car up i got out. I back in now. the physics of push and pull or something i have no problems getting out of my driveway now.
  22. did they get the guys with it or just the car? You gettin full comp insurance as well?
  23. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ead.php?t=64789
  24. i know its not a 32 but my 33 costs at least 6k a year to run and maintain, thats not including mods. full comp, petrol and servicing. so having my car for two years almost, its over more than half what i initially paid for it. thats what is killing me now. though, if i had a shitter, i would only save about 2g im guessing. insurance is so worth it. the seconds it takes for an accident to occur will easily make worth the hours you spend working to insure it.
  25. alright i'm lost. Is this day going to go ahead or are the numbers short? Has anybody asked the supra boys whether they would like to share, or anyone else for that matter? because if this day is not going ahead, i'll go to the may 9th track day etc..... is that the plan? or are all spots on the may ninth day filled? cheers, Mark
