  1. i think thats why they gave me the finger!! oops. couldn't help myself, used to own a pintara which looks remarkably like said sedan, and would never dream of doing that to it.
  2. I got bilsteins/kings setup not coilovers. it was lower when i had standard shocks in, but with stiff bilsteins about 5 mils between guard and top of wheel ( if that makes sense) just wanted handling improvements kings fitted for 350 i think. bilsteins $600 used japan auctions 33 very happy chappy. cheers,M
  3. spotted, cream 31 sedan. stick on wing and bonnet scoop, tri spokes and a passenger who gave me the finger. don't know why, was just grooving to my new basement jaxx cd :headbang:
  4. tim from t-bass audio. at bald hills on the northside. Nice guy, done heaps of custom work. 3261 9444.
  5. Has anybody noticed the small amount of irony involved in the showdown? It seems to me that most people are gunning for the porsche to take it out. Correct me if i'm wrong. Soooo, SAu Q are organising a day for all of us, as well as to take part, to watch a porsche whip a liner?!! I'm not having a go at anyone, i just think its funny.
  6. Wow, i didn't realise there would be so many people so nonchalant about smoking in a gas station. Even if history seems to give the all clear. Turbo timer yeah, I sometimes fill up when the car hasn't shut off yet, because i think the chance of something sparking or whatever in the engine won't affect me at the other end of the car filling up. But smoking in such proximety to the bowser is just wrong. Its akin to somebody handing you a gun and saying, don't worry about having the safety on, its unlikely its going to go off accidentally.
  7. so what about stubbing it out on the ground next to the bowsers where there is always spilt petrol? Maybe i am being paranoid but i'm happy not smoking when i fill up.
  8. put me down for a spot please. Mark.
  9. What do people do with turbo timers at the gas station? Do you sit and wait for the engine to stop before opening fuel tank, or do you fill up while its still running? I've been meaning to ask people about this but never got around to it, but a recent experience reminded me. I was filling up with petrol today and there was an older woman in her 60's waiting for the pump next to me. I noticed she had something in her hand and watched for a second and its a lit cigarette with the window right down. Being only about two metres from me I said to her "excuse me can you put that out, you're in a petrol station" she looked at me blankly and kept on smoking. I was in shock. I've never seen anyone do that before. She then drove forward up to her pump and I watched her open the door, throw the cigarette on the ground and stamp it out with her foot. The lady next to her looked at me with disbelief. In the line up inside to pay another lady said she was at a petrol station at christmas and a guy had just bought a pack of cigarettes, as he walked outside, he lit one up. The attendant locked the doors and called the cops. I would never have thought anyone could be so stupid. I really didn't. Has anyone else ever seen this before?

    QLD Docks

theres a gts4 there at some docks i was cruising past this morning. is it a 4dr?
  11. sorry, i'm bailing on tonight. brakes are shot and couldn't get em done today. see ya's on the next one. have fun guys. cheers
  12. seconded totally. I went to the first one and had a ball. And I found that hooning it around that track is way more fun than hooning around public streets. Its like it gets it out of your system. You realise how stupid and pointless an exercise it is. Its so much fun to wind out four gears without checking to the side of the road intently for the fuzz. If you take care of your car ie service regularly, then you should have no problems pushing it to the limit without breaking it out there. I should add you need a helmet (obviously) but for anyone who doesn't have one I'd be happy to loan you mine, hell you could even share one out there, one on, one off etc... So that shouldn't even be an issue kids. go to it. cheers
  13. are you sure about that speed camera flash or is it just the glare off a car in oncoming traffic? ridiculous vid though. what do you reckon he's driving? porsche?
  14. live in arana hills, work in Wavell Heights, visit a lot in Alderley. Grew up in Bridgeman Downs. there ya go. northside rocks.
  15. seconded, if councillor Gac or councillor Roz concur. I'm sure they would ask Councillor Smith for his opinion though. And councillor Smith would most certainly say that Councillor Bobjones should try smuggling the latest in muffins home from his travels abroad, or try baking them yourself with a bunsen burner and a spoon. Councillor Gac will say Councillor Smith is a white beard wearing hippy, and set Councillor Roz on him. Councillor Gac or Councillor Roz may not concur, but they can be bought. how much ya got?
  16. how do you do the fire? is this something i should know but don't. ?
  17. Yeah, same as above: gauge reads in 100mmHg increments up to 700. Given 760mmHg is about 1 bar (or 14.7 psi), half scale deflection (300-400mmHg) is about 7 psi which is wgat it should be. Stolen from another post but you should be able to do the sums to get it to 10 to 12 psi. edit. What the phuck is happening with the time here. these boards are haunted i tells ya. pirate ghosts. or ghost pirates. its actualy 12 22 pm the 4th of feb right now.
  18. somebody tried to spell early on a saturday morning didn't they. teehee
  19. more positive comments from me as well. excellent communication. Same day email replies etc...
  20. definetly service the car before you go. its like giving the car a good breakfast before it does a workout.
  21. saw black 33 (possibly with GTR badge) but a hell differnet wing on it sorta went like this from left to right. ___ ___ / _____/ O O O O on old cleveland rd cooparoo (sp) yesterday morning. Edit: the little pic I've drawn didn't come out right in the post but I think you get the idea yeah.
  22. congratulations. Are you going to be living on campus or are you share housing it? I'm guessing you have been up here before (interview) and sort of have a general idea of what we are about. I've been thinking about a comparative locality guide for you. Melbourne has Acland st. Brisbane has Boundary st West End. Melbourne has Southgate. We have riverside. Melbourne has Chapel St. We have Brunswick st (the valley) Melbourne has Burke st. We have Queen St. Melbourne has Albert Pk. We have Botanical Gardens. Those imo are pretty similar places. We do however have a few places (as does melbourne) that are unique such as, Mt Cootha. A view from the mountains to the sea just 15 minutes from the CBD. Or the bogan version, Mt Gravatt. Same deal. Kangaroo point Cliffs. Great for a bbq or rock climbing. Park Rd with the mini eiffel tower. Great cafes and restaurants. Southbank Beach. Which you should never swim in but its a nice idea. (no you can swim, just don't think about it) In your time here you will see all of that its not hard to do. But most of all just remember that if its cold in the morning, its probably still going to be cold the rest of the day. We generally only have one season a day. oh and leave those silly hook turns behind.
  23. how much you willing to pay? check out ebay there are heaps 4 sale.
