same thing happened to me. up a steep hill, in fourth. You should be able to tell by the burning smell that will eminate from the car. I drove mine for a couple of weeks until I had enough money for a new clutch. Just be careful when you feel it start to go change down and back off.

AT the skidpan yesterday, one of the instructors is schmoozing with someone and has hired out the willowbank dirt track next tuesday the 1st. He was after 3-4 people who want to cover some of the cost with him. I said yes and rang a mate, who, then said yes, but has pulled out today because of work. I put a deposit down for two people, and now I am only one. Can someone else take that spot? the details are..... * Willowbank dirt track. A soft dirt track that they wet down before use so it will not be that hard on your tyres. * 1.4 km long (with lovely grassy run off areas) * the instructor is basically tuning a car so he will be ten minutes on, ten minutes off leaving two people 500m apart to play * 10am to 1pm Tuesday the 1st of June * $100 And the other thing is, I was wondering where I could pick up some regular stocko tyres like 15's or something, as I only have 18's and I might need some more flex in the tyres for this type of thing rather than low profile etc.... Was good to be there. Sideline motorsport guys are really helpful. For them to be out there for such a long day and for the most part just spectating, they are champs. nice guys. And was good to have two little slalom things in the morning rather than braking.

Just compared them on the bench to my kings that I already had on and went nah, I'll stay with the kings. fatter and stiffer. oh and can't remember how much kings cost. something like 400 fitted so probably 300 for the springs?

Hey people, I have these springs lying around that came off some suspension I brought from japan. Don't know what ride height they would have though I think they were a little lower than standard. They were almost a coil taller than my lowered kings (when compared on a benchtop) but not as thick so they could compress more. I think that made sense. anyway heres a pic. Make me an offer.

You can hire a booth at family for 1000 bucks. Includes 900 dollar bar tab. Split it between people etc its ok. Thats upstairs in the ice bar I do believe. just house music etc.... Or you could go the royal george. Thats always fun. the sun bar has a private area (next to the empire) don't know what it costs etc though. or you could come to my bar/restaurant where I work, garuvas, in the valley. We have a function room you could hire out have some food before you go drinking. or you could drink there, great ****tails (hehe) It all depends what sort of drinking you want to do. Beer, ****tails, shots, jugs of spirits. and do you want to watch a band, dance, pick-up, spew (jk) how funny, ****tails is edited.....

Anyone have a white 33 with stickers on the side just behind the wheel well. Stickers included, Kelvinator, Fisher & Paykel, Westinghouse. It was great. saw it at alderley bi-lo a couple of weeks ago.

forgive me but I'm not familiar with jic. How is it in the pecking order of suspension? (bilstein, tein etc...) And if you only brought them four weeks ago how come you're selling? I am an interested party.

skidpan day was so much fun. the suspension didn't seem to affect me too much. But it will be interesting to see how much, if at all, I improve on my times next time I go out. thanks for all the input guys

thanks for all the input ppl. My shocks are screwed. at least one is. Oil (or fluid whatever) is leaking everywhere. They are standard 33 struts replaced when I got my springs done. I lowered the car a month after buying it and when we pulled the old struts out they were both bent. possibly caused by the car being strapped down tight on the boat over?!! the dealer i bought the car from replaced the old struts with, well, another pair of old struts and six months down the track this is where I am. the handling is shocking atm. just like a boat. will tell you how I fare tomorrow at skidpan day. I know I probably should be wary of going tomorrow but I will make a decision there as to how it feels. still nobody got some old dusty coilovers or adjustables they want to get rid of? or maybe I should learn a lesson on 2nd hand stuff. you just never know.....

Yeah I think its the back right shock. Cause when I get under the car and shake the car there is a hell of alot of bumping/knocking going on coming from the shock. Oh well, hope this doesn't phcuk up my skidpan day on sat :devfu: Anybody wanna sell me a set of rear coilovers?

Small bumps in the road on corners send my car skitting across the road with a huge shudder through the ass of the car. Possible causes?.... New 18" wheels fitted recently, rear shocks leaking something (not sure what) therefore maybe they are in need of replacement? Am I on the right track with any of this. Its a little disconcerting. I have king springs all round and have had no problems with them since I put them in six months ago. Any suggestions appreciated. cheers

cheers for the gentleman and his partner who spooled up next to me at newmarket tonight havin a bit of fun (no racing though) giving both us and him a good chuckle. Nice white 33 with 17"s and Advance auto imports plates. When I get older, I'm gonna phcuk with young'uns in souped up cars. Good to see that boys never really grow up. and a cheer for the late model commodore driver in his fifties with wife who also had a rev or two to say.
