  1. Well, I dont really see the point of the before dyno, its completely stock, and I mean completely. And depends on how much a dyno costs. it would be nice to know, but knowing doesnt make the car go any faster.
  2. Some pics the DKNE guys sent me. They look pretty good.
  3. That is a big draw back to DKNE, but being mainly built around the R34 with the with the stock airbox and connecting pipes being taken into consideration on development, they are a better choice for myself than the cobys. And with the cat flange plate already welded on for a direct fitup to the r34 cat position, you will save a few $ there as the cobys have to get one welded on. Thats my reasoning for chosing the DKNE ones over cobys. hopefully they have just as good or better flow rates
  4. Well, I have sent an email to DKNE, just waiting for a reply back, I will probably "bite the bullet" and go ahead and get a set. If anyone is on the sunshine coast or Brisbane with the coby extractors and want to compare when I get them, we can arrange that.
  5. Hey Guys, They put a pic on their site, Its not a real high res pic, but from what I can see, they look pretty good, They appear to be much tighter up top, will proberly stick closer to the engine and run along side the block then have a sharp drop down, whereis the cobys pretty much drop down right from the get go. The welds appear to be pretty good. its hard to say which one is better. I guess we need to see some flow rates etc. DKNE Coby
  6. Dont know what johnnie your refering to Red - $30 Black - $50ish Green - $85 Gold - $135 Blue - $300
  7. Until the turbo kicks in, its basically a NA, And with Turbo skylines, the compression ratio is lower than in a NA, so you basically have less power = less fuel consumption, that is until the turbo spools up and you hit boost and fuel starts pumping in like niagra falls.
  8. Im not sure what the difference is the the X models, Could be just a different Trim or something.
  9. Standard NA brakes are just 2 piston, easy way to tell is the Turbo brakes are big calipers with nissan written on the side of them The Full list of R34's excluding the GT-R ER34 GT ER34 25GT ER34 25GT-X ER34 GTFOUR - (NA - AWD model) ER34 GT-X FOUR ER34 GT-V - (NA - Turbo spec chassis) ER34 GT-T ER34 GT-XT
  10. Looking for a Nissan factory front bumper, Prefer white (QM1) as I can just bolt it straight on, but will take others. would like somewhere in Brissy area, GC, SC etc, but could arrange freight. Ive attached a pic, so you can see exactly what I want. Thanks
  11. Hey Eug, for only 22, you have a good head on your shoulders, Thought you were around 30 for the maturity you show. I feel sorry for turbo owners, They will never experience the sound their engine could make from a set of extractors and a performance exhaust (not a cannon sitting on the back of the largest pipe you could fit under your car) a proper performance exhaust. You drive what you drive for different reasons, and those reasons are your own, dont let anyone make you feel worse because you dont have a turbo forcing air down the throat of your engine just so u can floor your car at the lights and get to 60km/h in 4 seconds and burn a litre of fuel at the same time. Regardless if its turbo or naturally aspirated (which when you say it like that it sounds smoother) you still have one of the finest engines to be made. Take pride in what you drive and you will be happier driving it. Back to the origional post, With enough $ anything is possible, decide what you want and then work towards that.
  12. The GT-V is bassically a Turbo chassis except the NA's didnt get traction controll , which is a shame. Good to see a few more GT-V owners around. From front and side on we look like the turbo models, until you see our dead give away NA arse end. Another thing, the GT-V is such a better model over the standard GT, so why the hell didnt nissan put a V or the back of the car with the GT ?! thats one thing that I found a little strange. Its not like the GT-V was a little more than the GT, it was nearly $4000 more. Price brand new GT - 2395000 yen - $23950 (roughly) GT-V - 2765000 yen - $27650 GT-T - 3095000 yen - $30900
  13. Just looking around the net and came accross this little gem. Would sell my own mother for this thing http://www.directimported.com/viewlisting.php?vid=258

Hey fellow Queenslanders, Just got myself a R34 2 weeks ago, took some pics today. Extremly stock. not a thing done to it and very clean. Very happy with my purchase. Imported from Japan. it even just had a standard tape deck.... btw for sale. stock tape deck. rare. dolby stero, $300 The tape deck was the first thing that had to go. So I replaced it with a pioneer DEH-P9850BT. The compliancers even left the xenons in for me . Im located on the Sunny Coast, but drive down to brisbane a lot for work. Here are some pics
  17. Depends on what kind of dba's they are. If they are just a stock replacement, then the only benifit would be having new discs on instead of older and slightly to heavily worn (depending on how many km's the car has done) If they are drilled or slotted rottars, then they give the pads more meat to bite in and the car would brake better. If you car still has the standard GT brakes on them, I would keep an eye out for GTT brakes, find someone with a GTT who is getting bigger brakes and buy their old discs and callipers. you might be lucky and already have the GTT dba discs and all you need is the caliper. If the dba's are 908 (rear) 4908 (front) they are just standard GT replacements the GTT turbos have the 4908 for the rear and 42304 for the fronts. find out what you have first and then take it from there.
  18. Instead of cutting the wire, just use a small flat head screw driver and push it in the back of the plug and bend the little barb holding the connector in remove the entire wire and metal tounge (or female socket, which ever it may be), so if you did want to sell your car or want it back in for some reason, you can just push the metal connector back into the plug.
  19. If thats AU$275 including postage, ill be down for a set. Could someone please explain the benifits and downside of the 2.25 and the 2.5. and when you say treated, is that a ceramic coating or just some rust proofing? thanks
  20. Everything I have seen has said the GT-V came out in 2000, which is in-correct as my GT-V I brought was built in March 1999, (checked the VIN on Nissan Fast) So I wonder what if anything is different about mine than the ones built in 2000+ It probably wouldnt have any difference if it was built late in 99, but March is very early, I got Xenons, as I saw them when I went and had a look at my car before it gets sent off to get a compliance plate. (hopefully they leave the xenons in)
  21. Auto box, not sure if there is a difference between na autos and turbos With the suspension, does this mean I can upgrade the suspension using GT-T parts or even R34 GT-R suspension - something like http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...E:L:LCA:AU:1123
  22. Just brought my self a R34 GT-V, (Imported, waiting for compliance) I have found out some info on the GT-V, but nothing concrete, like a spec sheet or something, Just want to know if anyone has one of these or knows the specifications on the GT-V. The jist of it is the GT-V is a NA sitting on a GT-T chassie, same suspension, same brakes, hicas, viscous LSD. how accurate is this?
