  1. bump, can this be used to elimitate the plumback function altogether? upgraded to a bigger turbo and didnt think about the plumback , so car stalling all the time.
  2. thanks for replies guys. gonna check prices and see if its worth doing, they might be exspensive enough to just go for forgies anyway.. we will see i will report my findings. LRyder - Would be difficult to port the standard manifold with it being cast iron! doesnt seem worth it to me
  3. ah gutted thats how i lost my last engine!! did you rebuild with forged pistons then? out of interest how does a small turbo effect a big engine? does it affect cylinder scavenging and build up ex gas ?

The time has come to start buying bits for my rb30, however, i am stuck on what pistons to get. i'm not going for excessive amounts of power, between 240 - 260rwkw is what im aiming for. reading the rb30 thread some seem to think forging a 30 for this kind of power is excessive, and i'm wondering if the money could be better spent elsewhere. has anybody put new factory pistons in ? or does anyone know of any aftermarket cast piston kits? thoughts/experience? thanks!
  5. if its leaking, the excess oil wil start burning on super hot turbo, don't you reckon? between my drain adapter and turbo there is a seal ( i have a 25det turbo ) is that seal there/intact/not rooted? what turbo do you run?
  6. they do fit, heard of it done over here in nz. check the rb30 guide. block needs to be decked as they come up short compared to the rb30 pistons
  7. awesome thanks mate. this whole thing is going to be a big learning curve for me but im looking forward to it. is there anything else ill need to look at doing to run it for both ign and fuel?
  8. awesome mate was gonna use ms on my 32 as well, only problem being how to modify the cas???? been looking for info for ages but no luck. not sure what trigger wheel to use at all??
