  1. Cant upload dyno graph from iphone in the dyno results thread damn.. Anyways fullboost 18psi around 4000rpms and drops to 16psi from 5700rpms, JEM are awesome, ADAMs a top guy definitely recommend him really goes out of his way to help and explain, takes his time to go through detail by detail
  2. First impressions- L-A-G----- boy its as doughy as f**k, maybe at 60% of the stockers response up till 3500rpm, after that its coming coming then 4000rpms WHOA BANG it fkn grenades like a rocket, not much difference in seat of pants feel to the 336rwkw car, feels almost, say 90% as mad when boost is on its on! Skates and wheelspins a bit but not too mad, its awesome but the lag is just way too much, I havent driven a ' proper turboed' car so cannot judge, when I come back frm my overseas trip on Jan, u can drive it and gauge Jase, love it but the lag sucks, theres no power below 3200rpms... Is this how its suppposed to be?? 2990rpms=60kw, 3790rpms=120kw, 4720=225, 5470=260kw, 6660rpms=286rwkw

  4. Made 286rwkw from 5558 on stock mani low mounted 98 fuel, boost 18psi dropping to 16. Told tuner to push it to 20-22psi but intake temps getting too hot. He said forward facing plenum will help cos it doesnt run along radiator and over exhaust cams as stock piping layout.. Its cold beside battery tray but heats up the next few centimeters.. Oh man that damn 300rwkw
  5. Slap him bro
  6. Lol @goose hahaha cracked me up..I got the seller to put 850 on the sticker so paid nothing in tax
  7. which one did you get mate? I paid $1050 all up for turbo, 2X silicon joiners for turbo cold side with clamps and incl postage too. I didnt pay any duty haha
  8. Hey guys, see pics of my PTE 5558 0.63 plumbed up to my R34, injectors and tune coming this Monday, 98 fuel and as high boost as possible. I urged them for a safe 22psi but JEM says they mostly go 20psi on 98 fuel unless its a built engine? Words of their salesman so I'm sure the tuner will give a slightly different perspective. Well fingers crossed and really hoping to crack 300rwkw - its on stock manifold btw. Do you guys see issues with the way the pipes run (I think the 3" from pod is a funny angle), the weld quality looks top notch..
  9. Thats a lot of power for a 2L on 21psi, is that on E85 though? Hey Mick O hurry up already with the nats, I cant wait to slap my one on lol..
  10. Oh man thats bad, did u talk to them bout it? I bought a 12mm spacer from them last week. Studs coming from best mufflers, hopefully they be alright as they're an exhaust specialist, but who knows.. Staos been using the supercheap auto stainless steel studs without issues.. U got a pic of your banana studs Hanaldo, were they all warped??
  11. Ha ha you can have it man..for a carton of james boags.. Mick O, can it be next weekend then, definite?
  12. Was able to change my order from BestMufflers Sydney, now they will be sending me M10X1.5X52mm long studs, hopefully we can put it up this Sat, Mick O/Jase...
  13. Oh is it really 1.5 thread, I just ordered 1.25 thread man, now I need to get new nuts.. Past threads I have been reading suggest 1.25?? And M10 not M12?? Confused here :S
  14. Hey guys, just ordered commodore studs : http://www.bestmufflers.com/bshop/product_info.php?cPath=642_643&products_id=3742&osCsid=c2ee5d7e2a97ad199b2556c17f8d558e Looks about right..(hope so) hehe
  15. Na, bolts will have to be the exact length to bolt in and hold tight, else use dodgy washers to fill up space. Jez the guys fitting the turbo are Ron, Jase and Mick O (fab work), these guys dont have studs lol.. Jase, na not getting studs from Melbourne(Stao) as he himself uses Supercheap Auto stainless studs which I cannot get. AU Falcon ones may do if I can find a wrecker close by. Scotty, looked up Stainless Allthread -they have M10X50 threads (not studs, but still) maybe get those if all else fails. Baah didnt think how hard it would be to find a piece of threaded metal..
  16. Na man, only got this sunday off and they closed, will ring round tomorrow
  17. Hey guys I need help to get myself 4X longer turbo studs M10X1.25X55mm long at least ( Precision 5558 turbo going onto stock mani with 12mm spacer plate), exhausted goin to autobarn, repco, supercrap auto and even bunnings in parramatta/auburn area in western Sydney, longest they have is 40mm even that in M8 size. Most of them have studs with the hex bolt head welded too. But I just need studs, cant be fked cutting head off etc. Where/what is the closest nut/bolt place in my area, google aint helping and I have uptil Sat wen I will be bolting my shit together, theres always these little bits that I realize I aint got...aaargh! Any suggestions/ exhaust places or what?? Pretty annoyed that supercrap /repco/ autobarn dont stock these. Not interested in GCG Inconel shit for 80bux and its not even long enough.. Ebay got stuff but its not local
  18. From what I know the GTT uses a pull-type clutch which is around $700-800 (cheapest option good for 300rwkw). As opposed to R33 push-type which is only round $300-400 I think. I have read people converting to R33 type clutch by going to wreckers and getting the r33 gearbox back cover plate something and swapping it on the R34 to make it push-type. Do many do this?
  19. My thoughts: it doesnt matter whether 20% or 50% of the air is unseen by the O2 sensor, the RATIO of the air to fuel (afr) remaibs the same of the escaped exhaust gas after it leaves the manifold, so regardless of the QUANTITY of gas goin thru the sensor its still measuring the correct afr.. Please correct me if weong?
  20. Booby pics. Nah man that little hole determines the life/death of my turbo. lol
  21. I hope it (stock oil drain) bolts on as Im relying on your advice Jase! Lol. Just opened and tried the kit on the turbo-yes it bolts on of course, top quality item man, the oil line hole size is bigger than the hole in the oil restrictor flange which is tiny, the oil hole in the turbo is even bigger but is threaded/ why?? I think I will have the oil flange/ restrictor hole drilled out to the oil line hole size for peace of mind..:S anyone done this?
  22. With that sort of internal parts you could go 250rwkw X 2 or 3 and still be grinning ear to ear with the same confidence...
  23. Thanks man, only half a mm??? Shhxxxxxxx! Thats small aye..
  24. That oil feed restrictor does look tiny though, bit skeptical if its good enough as its meant for an oil and water cooled garret T3/T4 core, whereas my PTE 5558 (still T3/T4 core) is only oil cooled.. turbo blowing up from lack of enough oil? hahaah
  25. Yes man, I trust GTScot, its the one he recommended..
