  1. Low mounting on stock mani for that shopping girly look, 0.63a/r as recommended by Jezzabelle n Jase, clicking on 'buy now' soon to shut myself up - these things come with the pretty anti surge slots that dont seem to work on the kandos..but gotta live with that.
  2. Hahahahaha!!! I am, dude! But yes its happening this week..
  3. Strange - him and his workmaate Mark have talked me IN to the 5558 now over the 3076R. Said spool and midrange response pre-22psi is so similar on the street, you'll hardly notice at all, but after 23-25psi the 5558 leaves the 3076R far behind. Got my gate yesterday and have sent out pricing requests to the US for the Precision CEA billet 5558 T3 / V-band and 0.63/0.82, surge slotted 3" cover.
  4. Agree, wideband O2s are among the most useful of all gauges, the stock boost gauge and the voltage gauge in the 34GTT is so useless..
  5. Lol at the beers bit, yeah it is definitely unresponsive and groans big time under a sharp jab, I feel like driving it onto a wall everytime it does that, its so fked for a car of this calibre to do that haha, hope its not running lean at that time or I might end up with a popped motor...
  6. Hey Johnny it doesnt splutter or anything like that, it just groans loud like a really fat dude whose been kicked hard in the butt and for 2-4 seconds it hardly moves, just rolls like an NA, it picks up acceleration later without that punch-in-seat feeling that I get from gradually pushing the pedal. Jezza is a good bloke, he offered to look it over, I might check him out if I'm free in weekends.. On a different note I received my brand new turbosmart compgate40 from the US yesterday, made in Aus n sold in Aus for $600, but bought from the US for $300. Check out FSR motorsports from Cali, Ian is a really top bloke and his service is second to none. SO basically made here, exported to the States and then re-imported here for half price, and no its not a cheap chinese copy haha.
  7. cops are bored, they need some spice in their lives..
  8. I lost 12 points on one go on a double demerit weekend (normally 6), so have one left now.. Nice aye You dont get any points back till 3 years from the date of offence regardless of when you get your licence back..sad.
  9. Sydney roads and 1 point left on my licence doesnt allow me to be a lead foot haha -- definitely a car issue..
  10. It is sort of, what can I say, 5 traffic lights and bit of a crawl here and there, 3-4 roundabouts, Sydney has no room to enjoy your car, no peace... Dont know if the cold start could make such a huge difference to the fuel haha.. Maybe I need to have a look at my coolant temp sensor..
  11. Na thanks Im goin Garrett- what u upgrading to?
  12. Thanks for the offer Jez, thats nice of you, yes I know that stock dump was a big power restriction as you said before and yes I changed it longtime ago with a jjr bellmouth AND a new O2 sensor. It boosts quicker and harder and I can feel a good midrange chunk just from that dump alone.. The economy however remained unchanged and I wouldnt be surprised if I was driving one of the most uneconomical cars in Australia I am slowly replacing a few bits of vac hoses here n there now with repco and supercheap crap? hoses just for peace of mind from vac leaks..
  13. Unfortunately dont have Nistune software and the consult cable, so cant diagnose the ecu. When I got the car it was running better economy though not by much, I added bits like exhaust, fuel pump, ecu, fmic and then got it tuned, after the tune the economy didnt go better as I thought it should, it actually went down to what it is now but I didnt think much of it then as I was very new to Skylines and thought thats how it would be, now that Im familiar and see others getting 400-450kms to a tank, Im getting pretty frustrated lol. After all the servicing and adding new parts n filters, O2 sensor etc, its still the same, it could also be a coolant temp sensor or a vacuum leak maybe, which wasnt checked during the tune. Not sure if a vacuum leak or coolant sensor could worsen economy THAT much, though. So that doesnt leave much else to pinpoint I guess. AFM, CAS? I think these are ok. I currently have 187rwkw and think its very lame after going for a ride in a 336rwkw demon thanks to Mick O haha. 2nd gear and a bit of 3rd is actually nice at this power level- 200rwkw..
  14. Ya i had issues- sent him coupla emails last week as I wanted to buy a TD06 but didnt hear from him at all so not buying the bloody thing haha. Going Garrett now, pay more for something thats well proven, but I still need to buy lines n gaskets from this Kandomaniac so bit worried there haha..
  15. GTSBoy I dont think you know that my car is already running Nistune and is tuned at 13psi on the stock turbo (yes I know how lame is that), hence the reason for me being pretty sure its a tune problem, another reason I think its the damn tune is because it pulls timing / groans or something under hard throttle stabs and theres no power for 2-3 secs before it goes. But if I gently apply the throttle then it does go hard like it should, very different to a hard stab. Its well serviced and running good plugs coils filters oil O2 sensor etc, maybe the coolant temp sensor needs a look aswl..? So yeah waiting on my wastegate from the US n ordering new turbo soon then its a install n full tune and hoping it will be da bomb..
  16. 330-350kms to a full tank and ur depressed? Im getting 250kms consistently man, how f**ked is that?? Am hating it, needs a professional tune bigtime lol, coming soon anyway as Im upgrading my POS stock turbo.
  17. Yep somethings definitely wrong bigtime, I dont have as much of a lead foot as pretty much any average joe blow with a Skyline, I do do a lot of short cold start runs to work and back, this economy has been consistently bad for as long as I can remember, I did once have a cracked litle hose on the intake and that caused my engine to shut off under sudden deceleration or normal. braking. Could be my intake mani gasket or the tune.
  18. My fuel economy is just rubbish- 19-20L/100kms everytime, new O2 sensor, new plugs, oil, filters etc, also when I suddenly put pedal to floor the freakin thing pulls timing or something, groans and theres no power for a few secs before it goes properly. But if I gradually stab the throttle then it goes much much better. Getting a turbo upgrade soon so will definitely have these huge inconvenience issues sorted through a GOOD TUNE which is what she needs most.
  19. I went for a nice drive in Mick O's GTX3071 R33 today and am so blown away at how good it is that I honestly cannot see how he could improve such a potent weapon. Running e85 and an incredibly fast spooling gtx pumping 330rwkw it had me laughing madly all the way and being the really nice bloke that he is, he was laughing as much too! Thanks so much Mick O, Ur setups just so amazing.
  20. lolz ur right..
  21. I have bought my injectors, AFM and wastegate from Ebay USA, delivery to door takes roughly two weeks.. This bloody Eiji hasnt responded to my email sent yesterday and one today. Does he want to sell his Kando stuff or not..
  22. Dont know yet, heck I could even go attempt that myself, they say success comes with multiple failures..
  23. It is excitement attempting and succeeding doing little things yourself, not to mention saving big $$ instead of giving it away to some rip-off workshop, I have installed my FMIC and piping, my fuel pump, coilpacks and spark plugs, wired in the Z32, replaced my dump & front pipe, changed all the oils/fluids and filters myself, all through the help of this forum. Heck I could even do the turbo easily too, except for the welding/fabrication bit..so it will happen ARTZ...
  24. For you maybe, but for me its just a hobby, a street car, a money pit - money spent on cars NEVER come back, hence you gotta be smart and not splurge on unnecessary things.. And Hanaldo, a $400 intake pipe will always be funny, even if I went IWG Garrett, I would still have to make an intake pipe, still have to modify my dump, still get new lines/gaskets, still get a 90 deg elbow, the only extra with the Kando is the welding of the gate to housing and plumb back. Correct me if wrong? AND the kando comes with the lines n gaskets.
