So nobody can say if those links I posted are genuine copies?
-
Had a look through those three links above again, they all look genuine, esp the first one with many afms on display. The pigtail connectors look genuine and off normal cars, some with the plastic coating, some without, all random. But then thats just me..
-
Do you have a link or remember the seller's name? How did you know its genuine?

Guys, could anyone please say if these Z32s on ebay USA are genuine or not?? http://www.ebay.com/itm/N62-J30-300zx-Z32-MAF-Mass-Air-Flow-Meter-AFM-SR20DET-Cond-A-A36-000-N62-/220951341480?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item3371b9e9a8 http://www.ebay.com/itm/300zx-Z32-MAF-AFM-Sensor-Sr20det-N62-S13-s14-Very-clean-condition-/170774446910?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item27c2f3433e http://www.ebay.com/itm/OEM-Nissan-300ZX-Z32-240SX-Infiniti-J30-SR20DET-N62-MAF-AFM-Mass-Air-Flow-/220876081453?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&vxp=mtr&hash=item336d3d892d After going through threads, I learnt to look for a crooked orange label, mangled mesh, rough textured plastic body etc to spot a fake, but thats hard to determine from these pics. The sellers seem to have good feedback and track record and say the part is OEM, so what do you guys think? cheers Ron

Full Throttle High Rpm Problem
rondofj replied to HotRodderJoe's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Just remember to rewire the walbro pump to get constant 12 volts. Theres threads on this -
Bad fuel? Hot day/ temps..

Lol at ARTZ, that little blue three wheeler on your avatar will surely get you defected mate. For 'driving an extraordinary and potentially dangerous car on public roads'..
-
Thats great news cos I'll be heading up ur way in a few months to fit in my injectors, Z32 and turbo....which turbo i dunno yet..
-
I always thought external gates are legal anywhere as long as they are plumbed-back and dont dump poisonous exhaust gas into the environment
-
The reason being I do not wana leave my car at any shop for more than a day ( I know it can be done in a day by a gun fabricator/mech/welder) and as you said above, the cost implications, but it shouldn't be expensive for some bits of welding and fiddling around... As for selling my jjr dump for $200, I bought it for $179 brand new lol......... And no defects mate, I'm not into screamers, plumb back's for me.
-
More or less the same mate, depends if u got a great fabricator who is not going to rip you off? Who did yours? I also need to mod my dump flange from bellmouth to circular v-band - don't know if its possible/works great.
-
if only they
-
if only the had an internal gate version that works as good as their external gated ones, I wouldn't even think of a Garret or Hypergear as possible options..
-
Stao might invent an independent electric powered 'turbo-fan' that sits on the strut tower wall and blows directly at the turbo to cool it..lol
-
Does that mean the SS series turbos SS1, SS1PU and SS2 are not ideal for tracking due to their tendencies to heat up real quick (small exhaust housings, high boost etc) at constant high rpms??
-
I meant the bigger housing is better in terms of heating up less easily than the smaller SS2 housing...
-
Makes sense now - G3 would be better at consistent high rpms/ tracking due to bigger exhaust housing (laggier?)...Cleared that up for me now thanks - as for peak torque G3 vs SS2 = 514Nm vs 497Nm - hardly much to go by..
-
Attached Stao's graph of G3 vs SS2,. they are so identical - I do not look at the boost response as you saying - I look at the power it is making at rpm points - 2000rpms, 3000, 4000, 5000... At the first three points the SS2 is clearly making more power hence more responsive and better for the street, but the G3 catches up around 5000rpms at 260ish rwkws and beats the SS2 from there but not by much. The SS2 also makes significantly more torque at these points too and peak torque is hardly different between the two. So I still dont understand why the G3 is more popular with you guys apart from the cost..
-
Why is the new G3 more popular with u guys than the SS2, the SS2 has slightly more area under the curve (response) for a similar peak power output of approx 300-320rwkws. I understand the G3 might have a tad more power/ flow potential being bigger? And of course its cheaper. Is that the reason? I seriously see the SS2 as a better turbo with the same power goal. Would compare it with a GT3076 /0.82

You guys with spacers are you running twin gaskets (on each side of spacer) to seal properly?
-
This guy is funny man..
-
What r u guys complaining about, it looks fast enough (4500rpms to limiter) for me to jizz in my pants, does look real fast, that zone. But I understand the first half of the rpm band was slow as cos he wasn't flooring it as above?
-
What are you guys talking about, varrstoen wheels are cheap in Oz too - http://www.ebay.com.au/sch/items/_W0QQ_sopZ12?_nkw=varrstoen&_fromfsb=0&_trksid=m270.l1313 or look up varrstoen australia.. Or wasn't it in Oct 2011?
