I went to check these out, the blitz one does have much bigger dia pipes, the one that runs back under the cooler, we placed the cooling pro and blitz pipes side by side and its like half an inch bigger at least and tapers down to the same diameter at the ends..does that make a diff to throttle response?

Diff Oil And Gbox Oil
rondofj replied to 08r3308's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
Thanks Buddy, I was there standing at the workshop and saw the guy change my oil and put in my new one that I supplied, my only concern is that I do not know if he filled it to the top of the fill hole or not? I mean customers are only allowed beyond a certain point in any workshop so the best they can do is watch and hope they doin things right.. -
COULD SOMEONE PLEASE HELP/ ADVISE??

Car: R34 GT-T G'Day guys, I have problem with my R34 LHS door mirror motor continuously whirring whenever the car's turned on / running / engine on. Can someone please suggest what I need to do, I tried to undo the 3-4 screws at the bottom of the mirror support pod to access the bloody little bugger of a motor or whatever it is and see whats up. But one of the screws at teh end is inaccessible because the door panel is curved top to bottom as with all cars, and the I need some sorta tiny screwdriver or one like a ratchet (right angled) if there is such a thing.. Please help, its gettingtoo annoying.. thanks Ron

Diff Oil And Gbox Oil
rondofj replied to 08r3308's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
I got the mechanic 4L of gearbox oil (VMX-80) and 2L of diff oil (LSX-90) from Supercheap, he says almost all is used, how do I trust him and how do I know they filled it to the top of the fill holes?? Well thats what we pay for in any service, I guess..cost me $60 labor.. -
Diff Oil And Gbox Oil

R34 GT-T did manual gearbox and diff oils just now - gearbox - Castrol VMX-80 and Diff - Castrol LSX-90. Had a bit of metal filings in gearbox drain bolt, the mechanic told me its normal that happens when grinding gears - Is it?? Got me a bit worried.. Told me I might want to do a gearbox flush at a later stage??? Now the car just feels so amazing, crsip and very light, very easy to rev up and come on boost with much less effort..Big difference. Makes me think my old oil that I drained was quite old and restrictive.. -

Major Flat Spot Problem!
rondofj replied to Rb Liner25's topic in R Series (R30, R31, R32, R33, R34)
Dunno, lot of pple have this issue fixed with a aftermarket ECU and tune - I have the same issue on my 34, except its from 4800-5400rpm ish, then after that it pulls like a train to redline...get a Nistune and tune.. which is what I will do.. -
thanks for the amazing response guys, I guess everyone including myslef have no doubts that Blitz is the go here, just wanted to know if the cooling pro return flow is suited for 250 to max 300rwkw or does it start crapping itself.. Have read heaps on coolers with mixed response so still have a bit of attraction for the cooling pro return flow due to its price, but I guess u generally get what u pay for - though not always..

Cheers, and of course if money wasnt an object, Blitz is the pick, I'm kinda favoring the HDi at the mo but still torn between the lot.

G Day, Would people mind sharing there opinion on the below 4 intercoolers I have narrowed down to install on my 34 GTT with 12psi, full turbo back zorst, cold air intake, plugs etc. Looking to chase 280-300ish rwkw in future. 1. Blitz return flow cooler - best one but expensive at $699 from just jap. 2. Cooling Pro return flow - Priced at $499, gold color is crap, is this a cheap china core with crap functionality above 250rwkw? 3. Cooling Pro non-return flow - same issues as above, - cheap china? plus have to trim fan, make hole in chasis for pipe on drivers side etc - cheapest of the lot at $399 from Just Jap 4. HDI - good value mid range cooler at $545 plus 50 postage (postage from where, I'm in Syd??), but its a non return flow - lag etc and have to trim fan, make hole in chasis etc.. So those are my views, what would people recommend / experiences etc?? thanks RON

PRICE $160 ONO Hi Guys, Up for sale is my HKS canon off my R34 GT-T, It is the typical size with the 4.5" tip and 3.5" free flowing straight through inner diameter and piping. Brackets, flanges and bolts as on pics, will direct bolt straight onto a R34 GTT and GT-R without modifications; and surely onto the R33 GTS-Ts and GT-Rs as well as the R32s, although I cannot confirm this since I haven't tried. Note that the piping is from the back of the mid-muffler, there is no cutting/welding required, except welding onto the mid-muffler of course. It is a very sweet sounding exhaust which is not loud and definitely no drones, good for cruising and when you open it up, it is a real screamer with a race tone that all RBs deserve. And of course with HKS quality you definitely do get what you pay for. Condition - used, in perfect working order. Throw some decent offers and I could go bit lower on price. cheers Ron
