  1. Thanks Paul, that's what I thought. Just had my car serviced today and the fuel filter (which I doubt has ever been changed since the car was made 8 years and 55k ago) was pristine, despite only filling up when the light goes on every time. Put my mind to rest.
  2. Yikes... you guys seriously do all that? I go overseas regularly and I never do any of this. Feeling a bit guilty now Has anyone found a good way to arm the alarm while the trickle charger is going?
  3. LOL u have way too much time on your hands. "Are you one of those boys who prefers cars to girls?" "I'm one of those boys who can appreciate a fine body regardless of the make". God that movie had awful dialogue....
  4. White R33 GTR with black 3-spoke rims, Tein stickers on back quarter panel and standard plates in downton F'scray at around lunchtime. Dark blue R34 GT westbound on Dynon Rd, 2:30 pm. Driven by bespectacled asian guy.
  5. LOL changing ppl's quotes is evil.
  6. Caramel coloured R33 GTR with standard plates but bodykit and dropped suspension on Vic Pde, East Melb at 6 pm. Black R33 GTS on Melbourne Rd around 7 pm driven by chick. Plates [iMAQT1] lol
  7. Lol... ok. Guess opinion is still divided. Guess I will stick to fill up at 1/4 if it's cheap - otherwise just do it when the light comes on. Filling up at 1/4 means 25% more petrol stops. Can't really be bothered.
  8. Vue is good, but the OP said "Australian food".
  9. I mean to set a limit on how many PMs you can send, not receive. I think very rarely do people send more than 20 PMs a day. Maybe make the limit 50 then... Even that would make it less spam-worthy than now. Anyway, hopefully the update will help kill spammers.
  10. Black Maser Quattroporte, number plates [266] in Barkly St, F'cray at around 11:30 am today.
  11. Was tailing a dark-skinned chick driving a black R33 GTS25 City-bound on Western Hwy/Ballarat Rd, F'scray yesterday at around 1pm when a black R34 GTR with dropped suspension and bodykit screamed past in the opposite direction. Has black custom plates, but was moving too fast to see. Might've been [TPG34R].
  12. LOL I thought R35s are now in the spotted section post-April 1 (aussie release day).
  13. Yeah seen it a couple of times. Nice ride.
  14. Mornington is actually not a bad place (once you have been everywhere else in Victoria). I spent Easter there. Apart from the usualy camping/fishing, there are the three huge mazes in the peninsula. Also Fort Nepean and Point Nepean is worth a look at the battlements. You can also feed/swim with dolphins at Sorrento. For a special treat, the Montalto winery/restaurant is also good and has won a crapload of awards.
  15. LOL @ Epping Petrol Station.
  16. Surely there should be a way to implement a general limit on the number of PMs forum users can send per day, especially those with 0 or very few posts. I think 20 PMs/day would be more than enough for everyone but mods/admins.
  17. Don't take her to Crown or the Melb Aquarium. She comes from Brissy and has probably been to the Gold Coast heaps of times. Casinos and water-life (Seaworld) are probably boring for her.
  18. Usual stuff James... 1. GOR 2. Phillip Island 3. Goldfields - Sovereign Hill Ballarat, Bendigo 4. Yarra Valley for wineries... though not sure how much is burnt out now 5. Wilson's Prom. Camp at Tidal River. Squeaky beach. 6. Mornington Peninsula. Lots of mazes here - Ashcombe, Arthur's Seat/Unicorn Maize Maze, Enchanted Maze. Also for fishing/camping/wineries. 7. Daylesford for relaxing spas/wineries That's not 1 point per day BTW....
  19. Answer is to get a STOCK R34. You do not want to drive a modified car when you're 19 cuz you can't afford defects. Stock R34 is a newer car as well, and less things to repair as likely not as modified/thrashed.
  20. >.< Way to lose $2500 in stamp duty. Guess it's still cheaper than paying big bucks to devalue your Nur.
  21. I know on 34 GTRs the interior trim for all the seats looks so much nicer on S2 (black cloth, suits dash trim) than S1 (grey cloth, that always looks dirty and dusty no matter how much you clean it). I specifically bought an S2 because I couldn't stand the looks of the S1 interior.
  22. Oh ok, I see. I guess some aftermarket fuel pumps work a bit differently to the stock ones.
  23. Just go to carsales.com.au or carpoint.com.au You can get a high mileage R34 GT-T for like 14k in Victoria, so you might as well get that rather than a R33 GTS-T if it's only a few grand cheaper. http://www.carsales.com.au/all-cars/result...ng|0&D=gt-t Pay a little extra for quality/no crash history or if you want it to come with modifications. Your Indian licence MUST have an English translation. Check with Vicroads whether you're ok. And if you get PR you have a 3 month window to get a Victorian licence before you're off the road. I think the P-plate restrictions on power to weight or turbo cars may not apply to you with an overseas licence, but the under 20/under 25 insurance excess sure will. R34 GT-T insurance would be obviously less than GTRs. Very ballpark figure, who knows, $5000/year, $2500 excess? Ask Just Car Insurance or Shannons, or one of the smaller insurers.
  24. 19 year old with overseas licence and un-corroborateable overseas driving history in a Skyline, possibly R34 GTR from your questions... hmmm.... I would say, $8000 premium/year + $5000 excess if anyone will insure you. Dude... get a bone-stock N/A R33 then you might be in with a chance. Also one-off stamp duty eg., transfer of vehicle is 4% to the govt of the purchase price ($8/$200) Rego is about $550/year. Good luck.
