  1. There is no shortage of cops in the VP. There is just an allocation problem. Move more cops from defecting duty to crime-fighting and problem solved The total revenue raised from defecting imports (when you consider the administration costs to the VP/Vicroads/State Govt) of employing/training people to do it, clear it, enter and manage the data entry, etc is probably not as much as we would think. Especially when you consider you could move that manpower to SOLVING CRIMES, which would mean VP wouldn't need to offer so many million dollars of rewards to the general public for information on crimes left unsolved due to inadequate manpower.
  2. Wow.. wish people would just give me cars like that.
  3. White R33 non-GTR in Newmarket around 8:30 pm last night, driven by brunette chick. Silver R32 GTR near the park in Yarraville, around 2:30 pm today. [GTR34] up on a hoist with its wheels missing at my local tuner's
  4. Nice one Ash. Hmmm they have BP ultimate 102 RON in the UK. Didn't realise F1 just used 98-102 RON. Thought they would've had some insanely expensive race-prepping additive with millions of dollars of research in it...
  5. Wow... 150 replies and 2000 views in less than 48 hours is pretty friggin impressive. Don't think I would've got that much SAU-Vic love if I had posted up "free rims - get em while they're hot"
  6. Cool, thanks. Yeah, can't wait to see what difference it makes.

    Hi Guys

Cars only get cheaper. BTW, if u r a P plater, not sure if u can own a turbo car anyway or if it goes under the power to weight ratio. Good luck.
  8. Don't worry, there's always next time. LOL and I would hardly call my car a beast Aaron's maybe.
  9. Where did the cops get you? That's unlucky. We didn't have cop troubles during the day.
  10. I'm not quite sure why your left foot is sore... you mean u use left foot braking??? LOL his engine was overheating... who knows?? I was at the back of the pack, so didn't see it. Just thought the quick spurts were people overtaking slow non-SAU cars.
  11. Huh? Did you just forget the date or something? Would've been good to have a stag on the cruise. The lineup would've been fine. Just park at the end with the odd one out - M3 lol.
  12. I had stock suspension and stock Recaros and even my back's sore, so couldn't imagine what yours'd be like.
  13. Oh yeah, that's right. Thought you looked familiar. My memory's going... Nice to see you again yesterday. Did your brakes recover after the Otways? BTW, what's the forum name of the M3 driver? Really nice guy. Was following him through most of GOR.
  14. Nice new pics. Love the 3rd one especially.
  15. LOL right on
  16. No, I meant I was surprised because GTS-Ts were keeping up with GTRs. Obviously the Rs had more power and better stock brakes/suspension as well as AWD. I would've thought there would've been more of a difference. I guess the GTR's greater weight offsets a bit of that advantage though, especially in the twisties. Evos/Stis own mountain trails. Don't like to say it, but we would probably have been overtaken if they'd been out rollin in the mountains. Always thought it was cuz of their AWD, but obviously it's not the whole story I guess. The argument about whether the weight of an AWD system justifies its use on certain tracks.
  17. The turbo RWDs were keeping up quite well with the R's. Must be the 150kg or so weight of the AWD system counteracting any AWD benefits on very tight tracks. I have to say I was impressed also by the red stock M3. When he rocked up I was like, who the hell is this guy lol. Kept up very well on the twisties. For those thinking of getting a CB radio for the next cruise, I really would suggest getting at least a 3W one (like the Digitech posted in the group buy), or even better a 5W one, like the $90 delivered-to-your door 5watt FD-450A or FD-460A off eBay. JamesK and I are extremely satisfied with these, and the price is around 1/3 of what you will pay in Melbourne. It was really obvious on the GOR cruise that the lower power handsets eg., 0.5 or 1w ones were inadequate. I would say something, then would only get static in response due to poor transmission power from the person replying.
  18. LOL had to google mazda familia. NFI what it is...
  19. LOL join the club and stop whinging Next GOR cruise is next year dude, but hopefully will be a Black Spur cruise later in the year. Hey Kris, did I meet you at the fish n' chip shop at Apollo Bay? Thanks for running the cruise Al. Awesome day. Did you guys go through the Otways back to Melb? +1 Where was he at Apollo Bay? Didn't see him at the pier lineup. Maybe he was at the "boatramp" instead of the "pier"... lol inside cb radio joke sorry
  20. Were you in the black R33 GTS-T in Geelong?
  21. Lol maybe the clutch is worn or it's just my crap driving, but I find I have to rev it a bit to keep from stalling when I am in first or reverse. The friction point is quite sudden.
  22. Wah??? Don't get the pic
  23. Paul, you are a fu(king genius. I would kiss you if you were a woman. The O2 feedback control was set to OFF. No bloody wonder I got bad fuel economy. This should improve my economy. Will post up improvement in results after next tank goes in. Just cannot believe it was something as simple as this. If my tuner tuned the new turbos and AFRs with the setting on OFF, do I then need to get him to re-tune it now that it is set to ON? Will it lean out the AFR too much? Thanks so much!
  24. Yeah I was just cruising and hanging back and up ahead I saw all three R34s circling like vultures around this bus full of schoolgirls, I was like, let me in on the action! Those girls were hilarious.
