  1. Mustangs are everywhere in cali. After a month you will be sick of seeing them. They're like seeing a ford falcon in sydney. I went and visited the Turbonetics factory in Simi Valley and one of the dudes wanted to trade me his mustang for an R32.
  2. Just a quick question. What relays do i need to use in the green plugs next to the ECU on an RB20DET? They are 4 pin, but i don't know what amps i need, or if i need "normally open" or "normally closed" relays. Thanks
  3. Hey guys. I've hit up Nissan, Pedders, Bursons etc looking for engine mounts for an rb20det. None of them stock them and couldn't advise me of where i could buy them. Where can i get them? Thanks.
  4. Hey man i'll take them if you're close. Where in sydney you located?
  5. Hey man. How much did you pay for compliance? So far it seems too cheap to be true
  6. I'm starting to think this may be the problem as we have NFI how to set the controller up. If you wouldn't mind, can you post your settings so i can duplicate them and atleast see if i can get it boosting? Thanks for all your help man.
  7. The com port is running to the Wastegate. The No port is running to the IC piping. And the Nc port is venting to air, i.e unblocked Can anyone confirm this? i didn't see it mention in the instructions.
  8. As per title, i'm looking for an A31 cefiro or C33 Laurel engine cross member. I would prefer pickup within a 1 hour drive from the Western Sydney area (Penrith)... but may pay freight if i get desperate. Thanks
  9. f**k the turbo, i want the engine. I'm in the market atm and 3 weeks from now is just about perfect timing... I'm about 5 hours away unfortunately, can i get a rough idea from someone how much freight will be to Western Sydney? If a compression test isn't too much trouble that would be great aswell mate.
  10. Stock standard turbo off a 1992 R32 GTS-T. Turbo has done 70,000kms Mechanic says there is no shaft play along the shaft. $200 ono. I want it gone so make an offer Located in Penrith NSW
  11. That's where i went. Couldn't help
  12. Hey guys. I got a bunch of dr drift chips here and i've finally installed my new turbo, so i took my ecu down to a few places to get the stock chip desoldered and a socket soldered in it's place... but none of them would touch it. As soon as they saw it was a multi layered board they chickened out. So where can i get this done near the Penrith area? Will a performance/tune shop do it for me (for a fee)? Any recomendations?
  13. Oh ok. Nah i've already got 3 eproms from dr drift and am going to install those. People wanted $900+ to do the nisTune + tune. And i'm just using an rb25 turbo for the moment so spending that much on the tune seemed pointless at this stage.
  14. So are you saying i should get the zif socket? Or are you saying that the stock chip will not need to be desoldered? I don't understand what you're saying.
  15. Ok i got my hands on 3 Dr Drift eproms. I gotta try them all out, pick the best and send the other 2 back. It seemed stupid to desolder/resolder each chip after each run.... would this zif socket be ok to use? will it fit in the ecu case ok?
  16. Hey guys, So i've got my dr. drift chip on the way and i've picked up my bosch 040 and rb25 turbo... so i'm getting everything together to do the install onto my r32 soon. What gaskets am i gonna need? I'm certain i'll need the manifold -> turbo gasket, the dump pipe is about a year old so i don't know if i'll need a new one or not. What else? Do the oil and water lines need gaskets aswell? Where is the best place to pick up a set in the western sydney area? Thanks
  17. I've heard nothing but rave reviews about people seeing Dr. Drift. But the 16 hours round trip kinda put it out of options. Interested in the possibility of a mail order chip. How would that work? Would it be accurate enough even tho he's never seen or touched my car? Thanks man i'll hit them up.
  18. I've been quoted for "fitment and tune" by everyone so far so i'm guessing they are using daughter boards.
  19. Thanks alot guys. I'd already spoken to unigroup but they don't do remaps unfortunately, only nistune. I'll hit up the other two and hopefully be in business. Cheers Lol... So what were they gonna do with my car for 2 days?
  20. I was quoted 2 days work aswell. So it's probably a long and arduous task to remap an ECU. Hence the price. Just been looking around... would i save myself some money if i bought a nistune and installed it myself, then took it to a tuner to get it programmed? Silverwater Auto Services (SAS)
  21. Hey guys. I just got my first skyline about a month ago and i'm loving it. I've been lurking here for ages trying to learn as much as i can and i've decided to start some mods on my R32. I've already got a split dump with 3 inch exhaust and a pod filter and fmic with manual boost controller. I want to upgrade to a bosch 040 (or similar) fuel pump and also an rb25 turbo. My question is about tuning? I've gotten a quote for $1300-1500 for a remap. Is this because you can't do live tuning on the stock ECU or something? It seems pretty expensive, and for that price i could nearly get an aftermarket ecu and have that tuned couldn't i? Is nistune a better option? I'm sure you are sick of hearing this noob question but i searched and couldn't find anything specific to prices and good tuners near the Penrith/Western Sydney area (i don't mind a drive to find a good place). So as far as my engine management options are, what do you recommend?
