i reset my pfc again and changed it all to the appropriate settings, r32 AFM's, boost controller kit off coz i got an avcr, etc things like that. got the car running, took it for a quick drive and as i hit about 2500rpm it was struggling. was popping alot and was about to die. possibly blown turbo? ran like a piece of shit. . dont think my hand controller would be too succesful with bouncing around haha

it was in the car before it came to australia and as far as i know it was retuned before i bought it. yea i'll have another look at the intake piping but i was quite thurough.

couple months ago i was driving my gtr and went round a corner dong about 25km in 2nd gear then the car started to splutter and died. turned it on, got it started but it sounded more like a v8, extremely chunky, rev'd it a bit but it wouldn't go over 2200rpm then just died. this morning i was having a look over it, checked all hoses and piping and thats all fine. got the car running again and it was still chunky and blowing a shit load of grey smoke. fuel pump engaged. I'm thinking that maybe my battery could be a bit dodgy because when i got it started power fc had reset itself and just before my car originally started to f**k up i hit a bump which i thought might have caused the battery to do somethin weird and cause the pfc to reset. if anyone has any ideas please let me know. quite puzzled as to what it could be.

yea blows black smoke. nah fuel pump is still working. i reckon its the rear turbo but could it possibly be a blown head gasket?

hey there, the other day i was driving my R32 GTR. drove it a bit that day. got home, let it cool down with the turbo timer. jumped in it 15 minutes later and i started it and it was fine. drove about 200m, went around a corner in 2nd gear at 25km an hour and it started to hiss and spit and shit then just died. tried starting it and it started but was real chunky, put my foot flat on accelerator and it got to 2000rpm and died. The turbo's are starting to wear and on saturday i heard a noise come from the left side of my engine bay(turbo side) when i was driving it but it still drove fine so im not sure what the problem is. Theres plenty of fuel in the car aswell. I thought maybe it ran out of fuel but it hasn't. Also checked all the piping, intercooler piping and BOV piping. Pulled off the front bumper and its all fine. any ideas? cheers

yea lol. make it a little bit quicker then the old 1.6L carby engine lol. all it would need is a front mount and bov and it would dominate all.

wondering if this has ever been done lol. im thinking of building a new engine for my gtr and dropping the old 1 into the old subaru just for something to do. from what i've heard it would be an insanely massive job. probably turn it from a 4 door wagon to a 2 door wagon. what are your thoughts?

just went and rev'd my car. the turbo's spool up in nuetral but ever so slightly. it makes the sound but its very quiet. so would it be the steel wheel?

well when i rev it i hear no turbo's and no blow of valve. sorry people im not a car expert, know f**k all about them tbh. so i assumed that they're not spooling up. or are they spooling up and not making boost?

my turbo's dont spool up when its in neutral. lol. i've hardly driven it since buying it and have no idea how its set up. guy i bought it off told me it was an 11 sec car before it came to australia. it has an apexi power fc pro in it, dunno what other shit is in there. wont find out until i pull it all out.

yea i assumed it was the wheel. i took my car for another drive last night and it sounds rotational. i then put it in nuetral and gave it some revs and didn't hear the sound because my turbo's dont spool up in when out of gear. thanks mate for the information. i think ima just buy a couple new turbo's. probably hks gtrs turbo's

they're the n1 steel wheel turbo's. I've got a Nismo edition r32.

Hey guys, I own an r32 gtr skyline which is running the standard bush bearing steel wheel turbo's im pretty sure. the solanoid in the boost controller is cactus so i cant set my boost. i've owned the car for 7 months or so and the past 2 weeks i've driven it hard, taking it over 5000rpm. before 5000rpm it probably only hits 13 maybe 14psi and its only driven on the weekend. on saturday i went to overtake somebody and i put my foot down in third hitting 7500rpm and hit 1.8 bar boost. since then when my turbo's spool up i hear a high pitch whine. I pulled apart my car today to inspect the intercooler piping and the BOV to see if that might have been the problem but they all seem fine. it has blown blue smoke but there wasn't much and its only happened once and that was a few weeks ago. I suspect that its an oil seal, bearing or the wheel in one of the turbo's but i've had a mate have a quick check over it and it doesn't seem to be driving any different. still feels just as smooth and powerful and doesn't feel like im losing boost. if anybody has any ideas or input it would be much appreciated. and i know running the boost controller without a working solanoid is stupid but its only a gizzmo ibc, not worth it when i have an Apexi AVCR on order. cheers

Howdy, my r32 decided to blow up and its been narrowed down to electronics as the problem. Curious as to know how to extract codes because when we tried it nothing came up. I wouldn't think it being a japanese import would change code extraction methods. Also a wiring diagram for an RB26DETT would be handy. If anybody has any input/information or know anyone who does can you inform me via this post. Thankyou

G'day. I Bought a 1990 R32 GTR Godzilla Nismo Edition about 3 weeks ago or so. I was curious as to what the difference between the Nismo Edition and the normal skyline is. I have noticed it has a fair bit more power then my mates standard 93 GTR and the only mod is the exhaust. If anyone knows or has an idea its much appreciated. Cheers, Sean
