more info: just remembered that when I was asking around about my wheels, the only thing that the guy at advanced alloys (and everywhere else I called) said was that if your wheels are shadow chrome finish, it can be fixed but is a lot harder to get the finish and only 1 place in vic does it - they all send their wheels there apparently. Anyway, it's more expensive but can still be done (talking around $200-$250'ish per wheel instead of $100'ish normally)

I had my scratched rims fixed at Advanced Alloy Wheel repairs and they had heaps of wheels there they were repairing - looked professional and did a really good job on mine, but I think it depends on the finish of your particular wheel. yeah I did have some work by them, but it was more touch ups and polish in sections - I just had a full cut and polish of the car to remove some very light scratches (I'm very picky ) and it looks absolutely awesome. Went to a place called Splash and Shine in richmond and they did the best job I have seen on my black car yet. Very happy with it.

Can anyone recommend a good car detailer in Melbourne (pref. in inner suburbs north of Melbourne). I need a cut and polish on my black "line" and my experience in the past is that not all places know how to do a good job on a black car without leaving swirl marks!! thanks

how could this be detonation if it still happens at 9psi - stock fuel pump will be able to handle this easily

yeah but that would make it run rich and give you a flatspot, that what an safc is for - it shouldn't feel like it's misfiring

but if he's put it back to 9 psi and it's still doing it - he shouldn't be maxing out his AFM or fuel pump at that level.

What sort of boost controller have you got? Are you sure you have the correct boost level, ie. have you got a boost gauge to check it? ps. did you go to TVE to get your car tuned, I thought I remembered someone mentioning that recently?
