  1. My new turbo Ball bearing
  2. How does the car stop compared to the factory brakes?
  3. will love to see how it looks, as there are alot calculations involved to get it right
  4. Squish at 33 thou 10: 1 comp - boost in manifold will be 34psi and in the cylinder i think john said this will become like 15 psi. In the documents with calculation there is a right about boost pressure.
  5. Thank you for your comment. Yes its not the money its all about getting it right
  6. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/355547-r34-gtr-build/page__st__360 I found it on my thread pics of the head been drilled
  7. What ever comp you are aiming for you will have to adjust your cc in the head or deck the head, this depends on how much you are decking also as there is a limit when your valve will get too close to the piston. The machinist is Wilkins performance 9674 7037 tell him you need the head drilled to eliminate air locks. Mention my name and john skola he will remember.Yes i am running a ARC water bleeder tank you need this its very important. No not restricting water at all well im still waiting to buy a radiator as i need the motor in the car to check clearance as i will be using thermo fans. Also the best way to measure your squish is by putting a dummy build together with a used head gasket. Place thin lead wire where the squish pads are on the piston and turn the motor once and measure the thickness. from this you can calculate if you need to deck the block or use a thinner gasket. I hope this info helps
  8. Snozzle has answered it perfectly Well i dont see anything wrong with running normal timing for a good engine!! you just have to get the squish right as it helps eliminate detonation and this is why you can run more timing and still have high comp.
  9. Hey Steve, It was great chatting to you giving you the info, anytime mate more then happy to help. Just wanted to clear one factor to control squish - is by decking the block or using the correct head gasket to achieve 33 thou - decking the head will not change squish.
  10. Thank you Well its not far now soon you will hear the beast
  11. Hey Sean, That is a tight squish i think its way to tight lower limit is 33 thou any lower then this may be a problem. I would do a dummy build to check this measurement to make sure. And can you confirm the piston flat surface ( Piston squish area ) extends out of the block at 0.016 - 0.017" ? Just a note on tight squish, the car will have problems idling and if it does idle it will be rough
  12. Hey Sean, Looking good , let me know what the deack height is and what head gasket you using ( i have a nismo 0.9mm gasket if interested). Why i ask is john has Set my motor to have 33thou squish, try and aim for that if you can.
  13. The above pic shows the external oil supply tot he head , No oil will be supplied from the block. We can alos control the amount of oil for the head. The above video, John has give a light skim of the head, he only took off 2 thou. Motor is ready for final check and finished off very soon
  14. 19 sold only 18
  15. If you are going for a single turbo t51kai is the most incorrect turbo for Rb, we have done so many of them and lag is huge, there are so many other turbos that do a better job ie anything with a compressor map would be a start. The stock cooler maxis out at 380kw
  16. This is one of the best pics i have of the Z-tune, taken by Dean at JEM
  17. We see all these nice R34 gtrs plus the gtt's , really need to know what Kw's these monsters have????
  18. We have also changed the headgasket to a 0.9mm Nismo Gt500 gasket from the 1.00 mm cometic, and the final deack height is +4 thou and using the 0.9mm head gasket we can achieve 33 thou squish.
  19. Yes i have all the details on the cams. The site link is below very helpful by tomei http://www.tomei-p.co.jp/cam_spec/cam_spec_list-e.html
  20. There has been a slight change in this build with cam selection. Previously mentioned we were using IN EX 260 10.25 lift Tomei now we will be using IN 270 10.25 lift EX 260 10.25 Lift still Tomei cams, John has done some further calculations and found this to be the best combination for the motor. I will get more info on why he has decided on this Intake cam!!
