i got this unit off ebay for around $350.00, can't find any more. http://www.asuka-semi.com.tw/003/pro1.aspx...p;id=C_00000008 works great, highly recommend it. comes with 2 antennas but not sure if its 2 tuners or not. also comes with remote extender so you can put it anywhere and use remote. also has 2 aux a/v in and i plug another dvd/divx/mp3 unit into that. reception is great and its crystal clear. I only get cut off when behind tall buildings or hills or occasional blind spots. speeds at 100-120 km/h doesn't affect reception.

Help, 3rd Brake Light!
tienscissors replied to V35ADC's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
my car came with spoiler (sedan) with the brake light on that. I also had the brake light inside the rear windscreen which was disconnected. when i took off my spoiler i had to reconnect the plug for the inside one to work. dunno if that info helps. -
Got a blue GT-8 sedan. Love it! Tried to start a V35 cruise in adelaide in V-Series section but no one replied. Anyone here keen?

Rear Spoiler Removal
tienscissors replied to Robbo_05's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Anyone actually been to panel beater and had the holes covered? I'm interested in a price figure too. Don't think there's many blue sedans around with reverse camera in Adelaide that would want to swap with me. -
WTF am i on? you don't even have a black roof. please ignore me.

Hmmm shit just watched the video again. Think i might have the wrong person. HER car looks just like yours but on a second look its actually metallic orange with the same black roof painting. And her name is Micky. Sorry..

Guys I'm not new to this forum but don't really know anyone on here. keen to go on cruises too. I'll keep an eye out for this thread. Vincent I bought my car from NSW and it only has the purple sticker too. I only did an ID check, but they made me engrave my VIN onto the chassis of the car. You can get that done right next to the inspection place if you haven't already. Mitch Saw a video of you taking my friend steven (from america) for a ride. He works next to you or something. Damn its a small world.

2010 Nissan Altima Se-r - Leaked Images

are Altimas FWD? put off if it is. -
I changed all my interior lighting to the white LEDs. I just took them out and measured them then went to ebay. Map lights, 2 lights on the rear, 2 lights in front legs, 2 lights on the bottom of the doors and the rear number plate light, cost me about 25 bucks and i still got some spare. Changed my xenon headlights to 8000K for 50 bucks for the pair on ebay from china. Genuine Philips ones will set you back 300-400 bucks. I don't think there's much difference between the brands, maybe the cheaper ones won't last as long but I've had them for about 10 months now with no problems.

Remote Central Locking Help!
tienscissors replied to BenzLe's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Benny I've had this problem twice from 2 different reasons. 1. Not sure what the exact problem was, but I assumed that the key fob was cold. I noticed that if i warmed it up by rubbing it a bit (for about a minute) then it will start working again. This might have been from a weak remote battery because after i changed it, it never happened again (or maybe because its hotter weather now ). 2. I had a dodgy stereo installed where the DVD-ROM Sat Nav used to be. It was a cheap chinese deck that malfuntioned and stayed on even when i turned the ignition off. I swapped it over to a JVC one and it started working again. I can only assume that this was due to the deck draining the car's battery. Maybe change the car's battery if you have so recently or check if anything is draining the battery while the car is off. Hope this helps. -
Going To Do A Oil Change On Tuesday
tienscissors replied to 180 wanabe's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
How can you tell the difference between the oils? I've only ever changed the oil once in my V35 but I used a few on my R33. I could not see any difference in performance/smoothness. Especially if you compare good oils against each other. Im due for a service again for the V so im interested in this topic too. I tend to also use the cheapest oil filter there is. PS. i started using Pennzoil synthetic blend 10W40 in the R33 because there was a Pennzoil R33 in the JGTC LOL. and it was selling at good price. -
I agree. I had rust on my exhaust. I was told that my car was likely from the north where snows more (???) because i had a windscreen heater fitted. The exhaust was making a rattling noise when i stepped on the gas. Got the mechanic to have a look at it when he serviced my car and the heat shield was rusted/broken. I just got him to put a clamp over it. quick fix

Wtb V35 Wheels... Read Me!
tienscissors replied to chef_stagea's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
You're in luck! japanese motorsport has one set in stock. Here's the link. http://www.japanesemotorsport.com.au/prod_wheels_/1 -
I've had mine for 15000kms and haven't had any problems yet. The odometer is still fairly low @ 44000kms though. I don't think the CVT box is as fragile as people on this forum put it out to be, its just that if in the rare case that if something goes wrong, no one knows how to fix it - so even if its a minor problem, it then becomes a major problem. I still love the paddle shifts and starting to love the way the 'box kinda spools up when you put your foot down.

Cd Err Fo - Error Message From Stacker
tienscissors replied to drifter_x's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
I have the same problem too. Tried all methods and no go. Will try to open the thing on the weekend. see what i can do. Had another problem today. Really hot day, car parked in the sun. When i turned my engine on, the monitor will not turn on. When I pressed "TV" i'll have the japanese lady say something. Parking cameras won't work either. Not sure if its the heat, but the thermostat says 45 degrees!!! hopefully it'll fix itself -
Sourcing A V35 Windscreen

Personalised Plates For Your 35 Ride?
tienscissors replied to superspit's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
There can only be one! (in SA) LOL Probably doesn't deserve it being a sedan and all, but V35 GT8 was already taken. Someone on the forum has VDIRTY5, I really like this cos my car is pretty much always dirty. Might try to come up with something else in the future. G35 is also taken in SA. -
Doesn't the new R35 GTR have Carwings aswell? It was confirmed that Nissan is bringing the R35 to Australia next year, doesn't this mean you can use R35 software for your navigation?

Cheap Brake Upgrade
tienscissors replied to WazR32GTSt's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
Hi All I know nothing about brakes, besides the fact that they stop my car. Currently have a GT-8 sedan and don't think that the brakes are strong enough. Thinking about upgrade. Any brake guru's out there know if I can put R33 GTS-T brakes (full set front and rear) onto my car? And would they make much of a difference? Would love the brembos but way too expensive. Thanks in advance.
