i blocked em off yesterday to see if thats where i was getting my boost leak but its not and yes it ran like shit and yes it took ages to recover from a reving back to idle and nearly stalled whenever i came off the gas and clutched in. i really see no advantage at all from doing that and if it keeps ya turbo spinning to have it on there then ardvark blockin it off. really makes no sense at all to block them dont know why people do it. (GTR only not assuming its bad on everything) thanks for everyones input catch Dion

thats awesome info cheers mate. i am having a problem with my car venting on acceleration. i cant find any split pipes or leaking connection but i haven't had a great look down the turbo side of the engine yet. i have high idle about 1500rpm bugger all power and it surges when i put the boot into it and sounds like its doseing all the time where it should be boosting. any particular area i should be looking into? AFM not working? Vacuum lines (so far cant find any)? this is why i was trying to block off my blow off valves just to see if i am getting any leak by throuhg them. cheers Dion

Gday crew im crap at searching and only found people making a mock of the subject so i have to ask. What are the bad and good points of blocking them off. im sick of me dumb mates doin it and saying its awesome and then the other mates trying to be technical heroes and saying its bad but never saying why cause they dont know. could anyone tell me why you would do it and for what gain? where i stand at the moment it seems people only do it to make the flutter but also that it isn't to bad for your turbos. please help and sorry for bringin up an age old question. if someone wants to post me a link to somewhere that tells me then we could consider this post done and would make it quick and easy. cheers again crew Dion

Gday crew was playin with my car had the front bar off and noticed this. It looks like something to reduce intake noise some sort of plenum to stop surging noise out of the stock air box like falcon xr turbos have on the side of there intake. thing is i no longer run an air box just my pods. is there any point me having this gear in here still? or is it just wasting space? In the pics you can see my set up and where the stock air box would hook up to the vent below the headlight, drop down under the car and into the box that is completely sealed actually has no opening aside from the pipe. Anyone got info on exactly what it does and weather i need it now or not. thanks crew Dion

hey mate i have been thinking about doing the same thing to my gtr the glare off the dash is rediculous. can you please keep us all posted on how it goes how good it works and how easy it is to scratch off and that sort of thing? cheers mate Dion

hey mate im running stock r32 engine and turbos all i have are pod filters and exhaust and my output is 230rwkw luck of the draw i guess unless it was tuned up before it was imported but as far as i know thats stock for my car (that said there is a TOP SECRET tuning house sticker in the engine bay from japan). dont know how much harder you would want it to go but its my daily driver and i haven't been left behind yet.

get her back within 1 - 3 weeks i dont need it till the end of the month and told them that so could be arround then. they said they start work on it this wednesday. cant wait i haven't driven it since early august. will be its first tune in australia hope shes all sweet!

They are work rezax roar. purchased them of a fella who bought them for his soarer but the offset was wrong and they scrubbed so he pawned em off to me for $1000 and threw in 4 brand new brigestone potenza re30's for $400 for the lot. they came in the box that they were shipped from japan in with tags and plastic wrap all on them still. best buy i have ever made!

First time i had my car on a trailer (hopefully the last). there is just somethin about it on there with the bar off that makes it look tough, like im on my way to a time attack someplace. either that or it just looks like i stuffed it and im towin it to the shop to get fixed (which was was actually true) i towed it from geelong to cambellfield to Creatd motorsports for them to fix a nasty exhaust leak on my manifold and a turbo cooling pipe that i split whilst trying to fix the exhaust leak. good timing though got a bonus at work so im getting them to strip a muffler from my exhaust and finally get a dyno tune which i have been meaning to get since i bought the car in may. anyone dealt with creatd motorsports on here? their new shop is unreal and it was stacked to the brim of high quality imports GTR's left right and centre evo's and all very nice. so i hope their work is as good as it looks. let me know if ya have got work done there it would be nice to know what others thought. cheers Dion

2x holden HX premiers blue with white roof (i already have one but its stock) lowered on some nice cragar rims all body stock all original interior bench seats etc. suspension set up so the thing could at least have a bit of handling! Engine for car 1 - a nice addition of a corvette LS9 supercharged 7 litre or somethin like that V8. worked up again to anihilate tyres in any gear. i wouldn't stop till i could count the cylinders firing the cam was that lumpy. Engine number 2 - tokyo drift style Rb26/30 with massive single turbo conversion somethin big enough to suck small children off the street with! and all the accesories straight out of japan to get her goin - cooler, fuel pump, injectors you know the story. sounds like good to me. when everyone is finished building theirs we will have to go for a cruise! hey i have a winner! bolt is a 12x1.25 i used that with a bit of lpg gas safe thread tape for a good seal and also the bolt has to have a head on it to get an O-ring in there. i will let ya all know if it doesn't hold up but works wonders so far. catch Dion

Im from the surf coast my driveways 50m from Great Ocean Road. Recomend start from torquay head down to lorne turn right of the main drag in lorne before the cumberland hotel (the old big building on the foreshaw that used to be painted pink) and head up to erskin falls. great drive and falls are fun if ya wanna check em out. then you can either keep goin past the falls inland or turn back to lorne and go to apollo bay. Be careful though the trees have all day shade on some sections near the falls and there is one nice wet spot on a corner because water doesn't evaporate and a mate of mine lost it while we were driven there and i watched him slide down an embankment. it pays to watch the surface!

some people just get so shitty over stuff that dont concern them. he may be a skyline specialist but im certainly not i work for ford. so when it comes to gettin mine fixed i let someone with expeience go their hardest. again they are gonna know the specifics of what needs checking and fixing before i will. that said if he hada falcon i could do it for him!

just about to get my 32 GTR back on the road for the sunny weekend and what happens stupid plastic radiator drain plug crumbles in my hand! now i have to drop the radiator get all the shitty plastic out the thing and then find a new one somewhere. so anyone know where i can get a r32 gtr radiator drain plug or at least somethin that will plug it. i was just gonna use a bolt with some tefflon tape and an o ring so it doesn't break again but i have to go find one that fits? any suggestions? cheers Dion

some people just drive em man. But chill out he keeps mechanics like me in the job! Also pal now where is too far if you want a joint that has experience on the model car you have even just a basic service someone who has worked on them before will see a common fault or specific model related issues and pick it up before anyone who has worked on maybe one before. I will be travelling to melbourne to get my big service and dyno tune on my car soon cause there nobody in geelong with as much experience with my model gtr
