  3. i asked at autobarn, but i think i had a noob guy talking to me. guess ill try again does anyone know if the spray gun filters work the same?
  4. well it might be a worst case scenario thing that they choose to cover. but all 3 had to be within 15 cm of the EBC unic in the engine bay.
  5. hi guys, is it absolutely vital to have air cleaners in boost lines? i installed an EBC yesterday and i tried everywhere and no one even knew what the air cleaners are, so therefore i didnt put any, anywhere in the lines, the manual for the EBC said i needed one on all 3 lines. is this absolutely nessisary? if so, does anyone know where to get the air cleaner adapters? cheers
  6. hi all, i recently purchased a HKS EVC 3 and i just want to get the basics to install it to my R33 GTST, aka where the piping goes etc. i know that the usage of the controller is best if i just learn it myself but i need a walkthrough on installing it to my boost lines. if anyone can give me a hand that would be sweet. cheers!
  7. Hey all, I got a set of old tein coilovers that are knocking and one is leaking, has anyone had coilovers repaird before? What has it cost and where do you recommend? is there a such a thing as self repair kits? Or is it better to say goodbye and bye some new ones!? cheers
  8. Hey guys, im not sure this is the right section but please correct it if it is. At the moment im just pondering this so theres no definite answer, but I want to swap my skyline for another skyline, a stock one. I have a R33 GTST with all the basic mods – fmic, pod with cold air box, boost controller, 3 inch high flow exhaust with 3 inch bellmouth and high flow catco cat, coilover suspension, engine strut brace, 400r body kit, running about 10 psi, and about 160-170rwkw. Im after a good nick stock R33, why? As I said im pondering but im sort of heading toward the “keep the original look” and keep it well! sort of over the whole going fast thing. Why not to do it, my cars coilovers are knocking a bit, and also has a bit of a boost leak which ive yet to fix, but if your good with that sort of thing it shouldn’t be hard to fix Why to do it, you get a car with all the basic mods done already and don’t have to go through it all. As I said just pondering so flaming is welcome haha. cheers please pm me any interests to think apon
  9. I personaly dont mind the store in dandenong if your in the SE subs, i had an alignment there after a nasty gutter hugging session, they said, "we couldnt do a full alignment for everything, but we did our best, and we wont charge you the full amount" i said buety, that was about 5 months ago and i havnt had a trouble with my alignment. I plan to go there to get my ball join boots done, also i was talking to them about their coilover setup they have going, apparently theyve sold a quite a few to trackers and street guys and they have good raps. The store in dandenong i actualy got recomended to from here, and there all older guys, no young guns like the rest of the places. But thats me.
  10. RB = Race Bred V6 = Vomit 6
  11. there is no definite answer to what oil to use, if you go by "you pay for what you get" then the definte answer is the most expencive. But people also have different prefferences to what oil to use like you said that arnt overly expencive but do a good job, my prefference is the motul engine oil and motul gearbox oil, which i continue to use and am rather happy with, a bottle of motul engine oil like "turbo light" or something is around $70? - cant remember... But oil is oil trel, just make sure its not cheap and nasty stuff and make sure its the right weight, aka 20-50 etc
  12. oh you need a "front cut" very rare someone is selling a front cut, but perhaps someone will see this topic and help you out!
  13. for around 1500-2000 you wont find an RB25/RB26 you might find a banged up RB20 or RB30 (R32 R31) but check carsales.com for them, just search R33 or R32 or R31 etc etc try to stay away from R31 unless you like that style, R31 are good with parts as they were sold in australia, R32 for budget is a good car, you canf ind cheap ones around, a normal R33 you will find around $8000 stock, R32 maybe $6000 stock. WELCOME TO SAU
  14. i recently discovered i have a mitsubishi blow off valve for some reason so im chasing the origional R33 blow off valve for R33 GTST preferably in melb SE subs so i can pick up but delivery is cool also cheers
  15. ADDED 2 inch split dump pipe, bought from JJR, i have hand filed out the split pipe hole properly as they come a bit smaller, only seen 100km as upgraded to 3 inch bellmouth $100
  16. lol im gonna work on something, seems like an unsolved mystery!
  17. hey guys, this problem probably cant be answered by simpley explaining, I might have to get it checked out from a mechanic, but maybe someone has had a similar problem. Some time ago I hit a gutter and bend some of my control arms, all in all it was all fixed and everything is back to the way it was, but i have a slight wabble from only 30kmph to 40kmph, at any other speed its fine. What could be causing this? i was thinking it could be 1 of 3 things, first thing is the diff, second thing is the driveshaft and thirdly the hub, the hub im pretty sure is not the issue as we changed it, but maybe i switched it to another bent one as it was second hand. sorry forgot to mention i think its coming from the rear right hand side Any ideas? cheers
  18. oh oh just the topic i want to see, sorry if im highjacking. i got a stock setup apart from my dump/front which is 3 inch, im planning to heat wrap ist since the heatsheild didnt fit on this dump, is it work heatwrapping? i mean the obveous reason is stopping the heat from hitting the rest of the car but do i realy need it? perhaps i will on the realy hot days in summer when the engine might get hotter but atleast the front dump will cool down quicker with no heatwrap any ideas? cheers
  19. it sounds like the computer reset from the battery dyeing, do you have an ebc? im assuming you would seeing though its 16psi
