  1. ok i will take some picks of the boost controller setup to show you guys, you could be right it might be setup wrong, like a said im a nooby with it all.
  2. i think you could be right with the hose leak somewhere, as for the actuator, we changed the turbo from a S1 to a S2 one, and the same thing is happening, so unless its coincidence that the actuator is faulty i dont reckon the problem lies in the actuator
  3. its always been like this since it was tuned, it was tuned by sabbadin so i know its been done right, they checked all the boost controller pipework. how do i check that the actuator opens properly?
  4. hey guys, this is more of a brainstorming thread than a "help me" thread, but im trying to figure out what the f**k is going on with my system, im running a stock S2 turbo on my R33 gtst, its been tuned to 12 pound with stock ecu, stock injectors, with a fmic, pod and 3 inch exhaust decat system. Whats happening is in "what it seems" to be just 1st and 2nd gear, when i plant it it just keeps boosting, i pull off when it hits 14 pound, but i have a feeling it will just keep going, now apart from that being a problem in its own, when it boosts PAST 12 pound it feels realy rough and not as smooth as the 1-12 pound spool up you get when i plant it, this worries me ALOT. Im not an expert in the field but to me it feels like its a combination of running lean past 12 pound (which might have something to do with the stock ecu) and a leak or something going wrong that keeps pumping pressure into the turbo. I am also running a boost controller, and i have turned it down 2x half turns at a time and its still boosting up to 14 (when i back off) even though it was tuned to 12 pound. I am posting this just after giving the car a drive and after sortov suspecting the worst, i do not want to drive my car the same anymore, im not a hoon or anything but every now and then i give it a squirt. Does anyone know whats going on with my system!? is there a leak? is it running lean? what is letting the turbo boost past 12 pound? any help is much apreaciated! cheers
  5. hey all after upgrading my kit and changing to a dump+front pipe im selling the following S1 parts 3" Front pipe to suit stock dump pipe, no gaskets included. i think its stainless steel but the heat has changed it toa light brown, also has a light graze underneath. $100 Mspec front bar, stock white, mint condition, does not come with indicator wire connection clip, but comes with wireing, a connection clip will need to be sourced, should be easy enough from another nissan. $200 Mspec? sideskirts, stock white, condition is a bit rough on the edge along the doors, a respray might be needed for the fussy. $100 Stock rear bar, stock white, good condition apart from a small paint crack that i touched up seen in the pics, a respray will be needed for the fussy. $100 Aftermarket GTR grill, not painted, never fitted. $50 Parts are for pickup only, im in SE suberbs melbourne.
  6. im looking at getting my car sprayed by dt panels, I just want to know how they choose the colouring? Theres a specific colour I want done, do I give them a paint code? Also, how long does it take them to do a whole car inc body kit? cheers
  7. For performance i would look at a pod, front mount intercooler, 3 inch exhaust, high flow cat, engine bay strut brace, coilovers, rims with fat tires, body kit
  8. thanks guys, hes having a new microtech computer going in it with a tune etc, done 130ks, and has a aluminuim racing radiator and FMIC so the cooling is stepped down a notch. seems in good nick as far as hes explained. still waiting to check it out in person lol
  9. ill give u 50$ including delivery
  10. thanks for the recs guys
  11. whatever you do, dont go the black with chrome rim unless you want the common look, maybe a dark gold, or white or even a realy bright silver looks like, i would say dont go chrome but if you find a sensible wheel in chrome they arnt bad, but theres alot of "hey everyone look at my unnecessarily over decorated chrome wheels" ............... versions
  12. whatever you do, dont go the do luck if your worried about height, i recently installed a do luck and it came out far and sat low, i couldnt even get up my slight inclide drive, i switched to a 400R kit and havnt regretted it, its nice and practicle, sure it might scrape here and there but my car is lowered to so it can play that field to!
  13. Im trying to avoid autobarn at all costs and im seeking some front bar mesh, is there any places that sell decent stuff? preferably somewhere easily accessible, like, not having to buy from interstate from someones mate of a mate who works in the government. cheers
  14. dude seriously, take some decent pictures
  15. hey, family men need a skyline to remember... lol
  16. hai awl, ive been searching and searching for some fog lights or normal round lights for a 400r kit, as I don’t want to put large indicators on, no body sells generic lights that fit, does anyone know anywhere that might? Ive tried repco and autobarn, but i think i might call by nissan but yea.
  17. morning all, im trying to figure out a way to fix front bar mesh to the behind side of the front bar, the bar came with tiny piss weak pins that bend around it but they suck, I was thinking silicon or that black messy shit used on the tail lights. Does anyone know a better way? cheers
  18. is the only reason you want to so its awd compat?
  19. im not realy a fan of the r35 to be honest in reply to chris, the v8 supercar is a race spec of a commdore, so bring em both to the same level, im sure i know who the winner would be
  20. exactly, but i do have to disagree, there is ONE part in the commonhores that is manufactured in aus, i think it might be the rack boots lol i think. they could be going about the engine technology a bit better, instead of new tech, they are trying to ad/alter the old engine like only running a few cylenders when needed then turning the rest on when it gets a squirt, which is such a bad idea, but they love doing that sort of thing so they have something to tell the public "Check out our awsome tech, the cylenders stop working when they arnt needed!" yea but its still 20 year old engine tech excuse my poor grammer
  21. Well i guess we all have our own oppionions 1 thing i do agree but to be honest i never realy hear people say it ubless its in a sentance such as yours New cars are safer because they are designed to crumple on impact
