could be cause by the x-force brand that not fit! so, u reckon that they are the same apart from just the hanger at the back where the muffler was? cause I'm thinking about getting some used Jap brand from the wreckers/yahoo Japan Cheers

thanks guys, but the diameter of the stick without the thread is alot bigger than 10mm for sure.. I don't think I can tap it mate or even I tapped it, I won't be able to find a gear knob that will fit on those thread! anyway, might have to get the new stick to work with short shift kit or new short shift kit! what would u guys reckon with the new short shift kit, what brand? and where to sort it out? Cheers

Hi guys.. my car came with a after market gear knob with short shift.. well, i tried to change the knob (don't like it) but when I took them out, the gear stick do not have the thread ( I think the previous owner cut it to make it sit short/close to the gear boot) anyway, I want to get the standard gear knob so, I need the gear stick with the thread on.. but I don't want to loose my short shift ... So, what should I do? where can I get just the gear stick with the thread on to work with my short shift kit? Hope u guys understand I've tried to say Cheers
